This was a wonderful experience. Our balcony room was on the top floor of the former grain storage tower where you could sit in bed and overlook the beautiful valley and hills. The staff speak good English and are extremely helpful, keen to make your stay special. The weather was so hot that we welcomed the opportunity to use the pleasant swimming pool. The restaurant provides a gastronomic experience where we enjoyed sitting on the terrace alongside the mountain stream. In the grounds there is a waterfall, which can also be viewed from the breakfast room. Make sure you take the 10 minute stroll up to the Cascades de Tufs, which are extremely beautiful.

A hotel that writes 4 Stars on their cars but only has 3 should you tell everything there is to know. A room for 144 euros with dirty floors, dust an dirt in corners, tiny tooms like IBIS has a really BAD value for money ratio. Staff is kind of friendly and if you can overlook the mess and dirt of the lobby you just get it when you reach your room. I leave 3 Stars because the food was really good (but you pay a 5-star check so it's ok) and they made us sandwiches for the road which were very good.

Lovely location. Comfortable clean room.Friendly receptionist.Wash basin leaked water so fast that it was unusable, I reported the fault but it was never repaired during our 4 day stay. The balcony which cost a lot extra was too narrow to use and in poor condition.Evening meals had large plates and small portions especially vegetables which you needed a microscope to see ! Though to be fair quality was good . Breakfast very indifferent and high priced at 19 euro. The previous hotel we had stayed at had a vastly better breakfast at 12 euro.Overall , clean comfortable lovely location but vastly overpriced and certainly not 4 star.Pity as the potential is there

Gorgeous old building steeped in history deep in the Jura countryside. The rooms are comfortable without being particularly special but that didn’t really matter. Nice modern bathroom with a great shower. ||The standout attraction, other than the setting, was undoubtedly the truly world class restaurant. The full menu is great value although more than one might normally pay, but it provides an unforgettable experience. Lots of little extras, and a series of dishes created with imagination and skill. ||I can’t wait to return!

Great 4-day stay at Le Castel a couple of weeks ago. Lovely setting, a friendly welcome and nice rooms. Dog friendly with fantastic walks on the doorstep. What more could you want? We ate in the restaurant too which was also very good albeit a little expensive.

Best room I ever slept in. Everything was excellent. The setting is amazing. Our room had a jecuzi bath and a balcony onto the waterfall. Felt like heaven on earth.

The Castel is situated in a lovely part of the country. The room was very comfortable and had a wonderful view. Bathroom had a beautiful, large shower - a real treat. Fine dining!

Beautiful hotel, our room was a little dated decor wise. We were expecting a much nicer room as per the photos on your website. Our room wasn’t even shown. The staff were friendly and efficient and the restaurant service and food was absolutely amazing.
