Castel Maurn was the unforgettable highlight of our honeymoon. Sabine and Walter are exceptional hosts whose warm hospitality makes you feel genuinely welcomed from the moment you arrive. The exquisite details throughout this stunning estate reflect the remarkable time, care, and talent they have invested, creating an atmosphere of true charm and elegance. Their thoughtful recommendations for the finest restaurants and engaging activities in the Dolomites region enriched our experience immensely. Each room is uniquely designed, adding to the estate’s distinctive character and giving us every reason to eagerly anticipate our return.

The suites are exceptionally well appointed and have been exquisitely furnished with top of the line everything, from linens to crockery. The building has been fastidiously restored and yet retains all the charm of a period residence. Walter and Sabine are charming and welcoming hosts, they gave us excellent local fine dining recommendations throughout the stay. We visited in summer and made good use of the pool and outside lounge area. They have essentially provided all the luxury and service of a 5 star hotel in an 8 suite establishment. Couldn't recommend enough or too highly!

Absolutely stunning restoration of an 1000 years old property, yes all 3 zeros are intended. Amazing hosts, facilities, beyond spacious apartments, excellent sauna, gym facilities, storage for ski/bikes, amazing design everywhere and all in a fairy tale location. Close proximity to everything worth visiting in the heart of the Dolomites and some of Italy’s /Europe’s most famous slopes. Plenty of information, hosts speak 3 languages are very friendly, authentic and accommodating. Perfect breakfast served in your room everyday at your time of choice. Very clean, tidy, well equipped apartments. We can’t wait to return, thank you very much for everything, Walter & entire Maurn Family

Castel Maurn is just heavenly! A beautiful 1,000 year old castle lovingly restored into stunning holiday apartments - you can tell Walter and Sabine, the hosts, have put their heart and soul into every part of it. They were helpful booking evening restaurants which were all perfect. The attention to detail on everything is incredible - from super fluffy towels, stylish furniture, great breakfast, well equipped kitchen and gym area and restored wall paintings, I can't fault anything. We particularly loved the spa area which was very relaxing. We stayed for 4 nights in January and used it as a base to explore Bruneck, Cortina, San Lorenzo. Will definitely be returning in the summer to use the pool.

I get all warm inside thinking of our time spent in Castel Maurn. The location by itself is 5 stars. Nestled in a quiet corner in the mountains, yet 5-10 minute drive from a lovely city & some great restaurants. Well situated so you're not too far from all the Dolomites has to offer. The establishment is impeccable! The work they put in to keep the charm of a 1000 year old castel, yet having all the comodity and comfort of a brand new building, is astonishing. We really felt at home in our room; more than we ever on any vacation! After a long day adventuring, coming back to the pool for a swim & cocktail overlooking beautiful mountains... exactly what a dream vacation looks like! The sauna was my favourite spot. Such a clean & peaceful place! We absolutely have to come back in the winter, with lots of skiing activities close by. What really made it special : the hosts Walter, Sabine & staff. They made sure we were confortable at every moment. The breakfast in our rooms outperformed any B&B experience. It is very rare to get this type of service & attention to detail. Thank you so very much. I cannot give enough stars. The morning coffee here was serene. Ready to come back very soon
