Absolutely amazing castle. Great museums in multiple languages. It's a step walk up there and lots of climbing. But well worth it. An historic monument that Palma can be very proud of. Normally only 4 euro entrance fee (bargain), but free on Sunday (even better bargain!!). Absolutely recommended.

As castles go I'd say this is generally a nice castle. 4 stars for 2 reasons....1) we couldn't access the tallest tower and nobody mentioned that. Just imagine the views... 2) I'd have loved to understand more about the castle but all the info boards were in spanish only (yes I know, its in Mallorca but its a tourist destination....help the tourists out!)....yes, technology allows translation easy enough but its the inconvenience. Anyway, the castle is set within a large park area full of trails, roads and lots of steps. I probably would not recommend tackling this place if you aren't too steady on your feet or have a wheelchair. We entered from the East side nearest the church. The steps up to the castle got the heart rate up for sure. We noticed lots of joggers using the park and bounding up the steps. We also noticed lots of tourists with tight tops looking a bit sweaty....loose clothing recommended. See pics for some idea of the mountainous ascent. Anyway, there's lots to see in the castle. Mostly statues. There was a wedding taking place when we were there. What a lovely setting indeed. One of the best part of visiting this castle was the incredible circular, almost Colosseum like central structure but beyond that the views. Simply stunning in all directions. Go on a clear day! Aside from that I wish we'd had more time to explore the grounds around the castle. Overall if you fancy taking a break away from the busy centre of Palma, then take a bus or taxi ( it takes no time from the centre) and enjoy taking in some breathtaking views and a wonderful piece of history.

Bellver Castle is a truly impressive sight. We arrived a bit late and missed the chance to go inside (it closes at 7pm in the summer), but even from the outside, the circular Gothic architecture is stunning. The real highlight, though, is the location. Situated on a hilltop, the castle offers an absolutely breathtaking panoramic view of Palma and its bay. It's the perfect spot to capture some incredible photos and just take in the beauty of the area. It's worth the trip up the hill just for the views alone.

The castle is visible from many places in the city. We purchased the castle entrance tickets as part of the City sightseeing bus tour. Collect your ticket at the window by showing your receipt. You can easily take the stairs. If you prefer to access the ramp entrance, it is further along the roadway. It’s steep and a bit of incline. Look for a kiosk sign with an I. It has a map in Spanish but easy to follow. The map is pertinent to the bottom floor of the castle. Lots of storyboards in multiple languages, including English. There's also a historical timetable of the city that is equally interesting, along with maps. Washrooms are available throughout that are quite clean. Be sure to bring water as it can very warm walking the multiple floors. FYI- no place to sit where the sun is out, so come prepared! Highly recommend a visit to the castle!

It was ok. Parking was easy. Directions to the entrance didn't exist, but we found it back down the road. It's a castle turned into a history of Palma museum. I wanted to see what the castle looked like when it was lived in. The only original room appeared to be the prayer room and you can't enter it. Great views from the top.

We went here as part of the hop-on-hop-off busses and the price was included. Generally I did not find it very necessary to enter and see it up close - especially if you have seen many places like that before. Why it was after all worth for me was the inside museum about the history of Palma & Mallorca! Very interesting!

Went here whilst on the city sightseeing tour as this is one of the stops...for the best views of Palma you need to visit this place... they're outstanding...only 4€ to enter or 2€ if your a pensioner.... absolute bargain... would definitely visit again in the future...oh and there are plenty of toilets and there's a café attached as well....❤️❤️❤️this place

The place itself is stunning, but unfortunately, it’s not open to visitors from the inside. It’s located at the top of a hill, so if you’re coming by bus, you’ll have to climb the stairs. It’s almost like a little hike! Each step you take brings you closer to the fort, and you’ll get a breathtaking view of the sea and the city from the top. There are plenty of sitting benches available to rest, grab a snack, or take some amazing photos. It would have been so much better if we could have entered the fort, but it’s still a beautiful place to visit.
