"For the wedding scene [between Fonda’s Vivian and Don Johnson’s Arthur]—spoiler alert, there is a wedding—we used Castello della Castelluccia, which is also just outside Rome."

Came for a pool day and the setting, the pool, the peace and quiet, helpful lifeguard... it was all wonderful. |Pool was pretty quiet and super relaxing!||All was wonderful until we needed to leave and climbed our way back up the mountain of stairs... to find...|The castle was completely locked up including reception and most importantly the cast iron gates! Nobody was around to help and nobody answering the phone. Spent ages looking for the car driveway sensors, no luck. Keys for the padlock. Buzzing the intercom from behind the wall... nothing.||We luckily managed to find a piece of stone wall which my husband managed to climb up and jump over and then catch me doing the same.||But we honestly were stuck! Became super stressful and missed our travel plans back to the city. ||Please be careful!

After a week long cruise we drove here for a couple days to unwind. It was absolutely beautiful. We booked the Tower Suite which came with a five course dinner. The suite and dinner were exquisite. We were so impressed with the food, service and room. The ONLY disappointment was the spa. We were really looking forward to it and unfortunately it was out of service. We are from Florida and met a wonderful couple from NY. We invited them up to share some wine on our roof top terrace, great company and phenomenal views from the top.

Lovely event location and pool. Comfortable rooms, staff and service were very helpful, from ordering taxis to changing room bookings. Unfortunately, the hotel's restaurant was closed while we were there, so we had to order taxis to come pick us up and bring us to the grocery store and restaurants on a daily basis. Often taxi drivers will charge for the distance to get to the hotel, in addition to taking you to your destination.

We were in Rome for a family Wedding and let me tell you, they couldn’t have found a better place to celebrate!! We spent 3 nights there and felt just like Royalty! The front staff were amazing! Very friendly and made us feel very welcomed! The property is so beautiful you could walk for hours! The working ranch just adds the perfect touch! The views are breathtaking!!! For a quiet get away from reality this is the place to go!! Would definately go again!!

Nothing but praises and more praises!! All communication via email with Federica who answered promptly, friendly and thoroughly each time with all of our questions. The hotel itself, restaurant, surroundings, food, and service was beyond excellent. Indika was in charge of the dinner and was such a pleasure. We were in awe of the service, following up after each course to ensure we were happy with virtually each bite, but in a good way ;). The waiters were extremely professional, friendly and even humorous. The people at the front desk were also beyond helpful and friendly, basically everyone we came in contact with. They had special meals for the 3 children. There was a much bigger wedding party right after us, but we didn't notice by the service we received. It was clear they could provide pretty much anything we could have asked for, different flowers, cake etc.|Location is simply gorgeous for wedding pictures so plan for that! Easy to get to there by car. Wedding was in the Rome LDS temple and the hotel was a really good location from there, about a 20 min drive. After returning home a week later, we are still overwhelmed by the experience provided.|THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all of the staff for improving upon our already wonderful day of celebration. Magical memories all around. As you can tell, we can highly recommend Castello della Castelluccia. I don't know how you could go wrong with them. Can't imagine a better place to celebrate a wedding...seriously."

My son and I stayed for 4 nights in early July. The room was lovely with generous size twin beds and a nice bathroom. ||||We ate in the restaurant twice, including use of the terrace which was idyllic. The food was delicious but the mojito was undrinkable it was so strong. ||||Breakfast was a nice assortment of pastries, cheese, read, eggs, bacon etc. Staff were always pleasant but it's not quick to get service from the bar. I ordered tea a couple of times but it took a long time to be served. ||||The pool was lovely and the staff were very attentive- that was 7 euros each which included use of a towel, beach chairs and parasol.||||Getting into Rome and back felt like a bit of a chore, particularly in the summer heat. The trains were very cheap but packed and the shuttle bus to the station took some of the hassle out of it.||||If I were to do it again, I'd probably split my time between a more central city location and a couple of nights there. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful historic castle with so much to offer. Not close to much of anything, very quiet. 35 minutes from city center, make sure to arrange a driver ahead of time. The tower suite has 3 flights of stairs so I don't recommend it for anyone who has a hard time with stairs. Stop at a market before getting to the hotel, so that you have snacks and water, there are none included with the room. The restaurant was wonderful, we watched horses running through the fields and sipped on wine :) The pool is great. Hotel staff is kind, courteous, and accommodating. We ended our Italy trip at this castle and it was a great way to relax before heading back home.

Recently stayed for the weekend for my sons wedding, which all went well. As a venue it was very nice, and the staff were excellent. ||Rooms were not the biggest but sufficient for a couple of nights. ||The on site pool was handy, if only you didn’t have to go down over 100 steps to reach it but nice and big. A buggy was available for my disabled friend so no complaints. ||It’s a castle so very medieval and a bit dark but not the ideal place if you are doing the tourist stuff in Rome, which we weren’t,as it’s a bit cut off, and at least 40 minutes away to central Rome by car.But great place to hold a reception.

Yelp
My husband and I lodged here for our anniversary. I can't put into words how excited I was when I found this place online! I real castle! The hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The employees at the front desk were very accommodating and kind. I did a little tour of the place after we settled into our room. What a beautiful place! Old photos of the castle were hung around the hotel, which was a nice touch. Our room was stunning. Extremely clean, and the bathroom was huge. Our view from our window was incredible, with fields and trees. They offer horse rides but it was too chilly when we were there. The reason why I did not give them 5 stars was the distance from the town of Rome itself. Luckily, the hotel had a shuttle that would take us to the nearest train station, where we would hop on to get to the touristy areas. All in all, I highly recommend Castello della Castelluccia. I mean, how many people can say they actually stayed in a real castle?!

Yelp
Great value! Wonderful hotel. We stayed here with our two children for a week and a half in July this year and loved it. The breakfast was included and featured many organic and natural options. Staff was great, and you get access to the pool and sauna. There's always a lifeguard present and pool toys are available for children. This place is great for families! About a 30 minute drive from the center of Rome, but the hotel does offer shuttle service to the train station if you don't have a car. Also, Free parking and many Grocery stores nearby. Definitely reccomend this place to anyone visiting Rome.
