If you are looking for an authentic gem in the middle of the Tuscany Valley then this Castle with its scenic view of lush hills and farms is as good as it gets. Beautiful! Mixed with an exquisite swimming pool and Mediterranean gardens, this is the place to be for wine, dine and relax in your luxury vacation.

We had a wine tasting here. The view was picturesque and the wine cellar was under the street in a castle. my kids had a great experience with the walk through. The bathrooms were very clean. The descriptions by our guide were colorful and full of personality. Highly recommend the wine tasting experience for these reasons.

We had an amazing 6 nights with our family in the apartments which are just down the hill from the castle. It was very hot so we spent a lot of time at the awesome pool which overlooks the vineyards. Highly recommend the on site restaurant & the wine tour. Staff were super friendly & very helpful. Overall we loved our stay!

We spent 2 nights here and we couldn't be happier with our stay. We booked a family room which was situated in a building close to the castle. It had one double bed on the middle floor and one bed each on the lower and upper floors. There was one bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The pool att the castle was really nice, with an honesty bar right next to it where you could get ice cream and drinks. In the afternoons, complementary coffee and pastry was available. The staff was excellent and very service minded.

The castle was truly beautiful, and the staff were energetic and kind. I was completely enchanted by the elegance that comes with age, and I had such a joyful time during our two-night stay. From the winery tour to the restaurant and the pool — we enjoyed every part of the facilities and had a truly relaxing holiday. This stay allowed me to fully take in the beauty of la regione del Chianti in Toscana — memories from Castello di Gabbiano that we will treasure for years to come.

We recently spent 2 nights at Castello di Gabbiano and we absolutely loved it. The location is perfect and conveniently close to Florence, while still nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany. The room was so spacious and perfect for a family of four. The grounds are in impeccable condition, the restaurant was delicious, amazing staff. The breakfast was also great! We hope to visit again one day.

One of the best places I’ve stayed! Gorgeously and meticulously restored castle with a winery on site. From the moment I arrived I was treated as a priority. The room was big and rustic, and they even provided a free bottle of wine as welcome gift! The grounds were beautiful, even in the fall, with views of the surrounding areas and the staff was attentive and kind. I took a wine tasting and tour of the grounds and can’t recommend the experience enough. The wine was delicious too! Also the price was outstanding for the experience I can’t recommend it enough!

Yelp
Probably one of my favorite places that we visited throughout Italy. It is a track to get here as you need your own car, but it is very worthwhile. The scenic views were breath taking. The food and wine were 100% on point. We arrived around close to closing during lunch, yet the server accommodated us, even though he could have turned us away. And, even though we were pushing it with our timing, we never felt rushed. The service was great, friendly, and helpful in selecting items we would like. We started with a bread, which was perfectly baked. The olive oil was great. The wine is amazing and made there. Definitely recommend trying as much as you can! We ordered the ravioli and a pasta noodle dish. The texture of the pasta, the cook and the flavor was phenomenal. Probably one of the best meals we had in all of Italy. If you are in Florence and driving into Tuscany I would 10000% recommend stopping here for the wine and the food!! I included a picture of the rolling hills we were surrounded by while sitting on the patio outside.

Yelp
You have probably seen or drank this chianti, but the really good stuff isn't sold in the US. Their Balsamic Vinegar is sweet and tangy. I would rank it a 10 out of 10.

Yelp
We spent 4 days in this Tuscan Castle overlooking the valley. Absolutely beautiful in early October. Checking in here can be confusing depending on when you arrive and whether anyone is in the office. Their is no checkin location so you kind if feel your way around to find who can help. Once led to our room we got settled and explored around the grounds. The common areas are very warm and welcoming. Plenty of time to meet other guest who are visiting from everywhere on the planet. All with great stories and time to share what you learned. The friendly staff from those making breakfast to cleaning the room are great. Enjoyed meeting and talking to them. Only negative is the poor internet. It only worked in the common area. Really no reason they could not improve this. After all, I wanted to tell the world where we were.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I managed to book a room at Gabbiano last-minute and we're so glad that we did! The castle itself is amazingly beautiful with expansive views that overlook the Tuscan countryside. We got a junior room and despite the name, both the room and bathroom were quite large. The AC worked well too. We ate a very good meal at restaurant on site: Duck prosciutto, tagliatelle pasta with truffles and the rabbit as our main course. Everything was delicious. In the morning there is free breakfast from 8-9:30AM with quite a large spread. There is also an option to have omelettes made for an additional charge. The service by the staff was superb and everyone was very friendly. I most definitely recommend staying here and would happily do so again the next time we are in Tuscany!

Yelp
Elegantly hidden in the Tuscan countryside. Exquisite with amazing views of the Gabbiano vineyard. My husband and I celebrated our 20-year anniversary at Castello di Gabbiano. The restaurant was impeccable, sophisticated and offered both indoor or outdoor seating. The wine was remarkable and the risotto topped with truffles had us weeping. The lamb chops were heaven on a plate....I could eat here everyday. Incredible this place serves the BEST Italian food. Speaking of service, rating from (1 to 10) it rated 10+.....off the charts.

Yelp
We didn't stay at the hotel. We only when to the wine tasting on our way through the Chianti road trip that we did on our own in Tuscany. We had to wait for our wine tasting, while the hostess was giving a tour, but it was worth the wait. Our hostess spoke Italian, Spanish, and English. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. We were surprised how such good wines are so inexpensive in comparison to the prices in the US.

Yelp
I visited thus castle about 2 years ago and finally while looking through old pics remembered to write a review...this place is spectacular! It offers the most amazing views of Tuscany's wine vineyards as well as olive groves.....my partner and I were lucky enough to book a room well in advance. We enjoyed the luxuries of the pool with the incredible view....it was quiet , serene and probably one of the best experiences of life!! Book the wine/olive/ balsamic vinegar tasting ...you won't be disappointed the history of this castle is fascinating as well as the amazing cellar below the castle ...if you're asthmatic don't stay too long in the cellar as it's a little hard to breathe in there due to dryness of air....also do yourself a favor an book a dinner reservation, the wine , the food and service was exceptional....it is a romantic getaway and a wonderful stay you will not be disappointed....PS do not drive there!!! Take a taxi it's so difficult to drive in Florence we got over $80 in traffic violation tix bc we couldn't read Italian and decipher what signs were saying ! A taxi from Florence central is like $40-50 bucks, well worth the hassle of driving

Yelp
Best food I had in Tuscany and gorgeous setting! We went with 13 people and they had a last minute reservation. Definitely would recommend and would go back.
