Absolutely beautiful hotel, setting, restaurants and bars. With lush surroundings and a homely family atmosphere of staff, the location was just perfect. Views from the back of the bedroom balcony were unbelievable. We had a fantastic meal in Osteria, definitely recommend the duck pasta. Bar ucci was also amazing, staff so welcoming and great prices. We did the wine tour and tasting, such a lovely experience and wonderful wine. Could not recommend more, can't wait to return.

Absolutely amazing. I wish I spent more time here as everything was terrific. We stopped for a wine tasting and tour. The wine as excellent and so was the olio. Super rustic and charming. I would love to stay in the villas next time but if you are on a wine tour you need to stop here at a minimum. So glad my local store carries their wine!!

We spent 10 days in Italy and Volpaia was by far our favorite place. Unfortunately our flight was delayed which meant we got to Volpaia much later than expected. Lorenzo kindly waited and warmly greeted us, showing us to our rooms and making us feel welcomed. He also arranged for the restaurant to remain open later than usual to feed our hungry family of four. This kind of hospitality was what we consistently found over our four day stay. The winery tour and tasting was fantastic, enthusiastically led by Fabio who was both passionate and enthusiastic about Volpaia wines. Our accommodations were comfortable. The views were astounding. The peace and quiet left us relaxed and content. It was beautiful medieval village - spectacular in every way. Everywhere we turned there were friendly people warmly greeting us with a friendly smile. We were made to feel like their most important guests at all times. Such a charming place. I honestly cannot say enough positive things about our experience. It was exceptional in every way. We are already planning a return visit. Thank you Volpaia for making our stay a lifetime memory for our family.

We write the wine blog VinoDuo.com, and Volpaia is among our favorite Chianti producers. We had a fabulous tour and private tasting at this gorgeous, storied winery.

We had the best time touring with Raveen Khawe! He’s not only a total wine expert but also super fun and easy to understand — no snobby wine talk, just great stories and tons of interesting info. He introduced us to four amazing wines from the region and kept everyone in our group entertained the whole time. You can tell he really loves what he does, and it made the whole experience even better. If you get the chance to take this tour, don’t miss it!

A Gem in Chianti: Unforgettable Wine Tour at Castello Volpaia A visit to Castello Volpaia offers an enchanting journey through history, innovation, and exceptional wine, leaving a lasting impression with its stunning views and the captivating charm of its ancient stones. Our recent wine tour of the facilities was a highlight of our time in Tuscany. The experience was made all the more memorable by our tour guide, Francesco. A young man whose passion for wine and deep knowledge of the craft were evident in every explanation, Francesco brought the story of Volpaia to life. He expertly guided us through the beautiful old castle, revealing the truly amazing and ingeniously hidden wine technology seamlessly integrated within its historic walls. It was fascinating to see how centuries-old architecture houses a state-of-the-art winemaking operation. The castle itself is a marvel, and the panoramic views from its vantage point are simply breathtaking, offering a picturesque backdrop to an already impressive tour. The combination of the ancient setting, the innovative approach to winemaking, and Francesco's engaging guidance made for an unparalleled experience. For anyone visiting the Chianti region, a wine tour at Castello Volpaia comes highly recommended. It’s a perfect blend of Tuscan beauty, winemaking excellence, and passionate storytelling.

Our recent 5 night stay at Castello di Volpaia was an absolute joy. We highly recommend you treat yourself to the timeless elegance and beauty of the accommodation, aided by wonderful and sincere hospitality from all staff. Ensure you dine at Osteria Volpaia, take a wine tour, and (if you are very lucky), book a cooking class with wonderful Giovanna. Thank you to all the wonderful people who made our stay so memorable!

3 Weeks in Italy. My wife's favorite stay. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The whole town was so charming and the employees were kind and considerate. The town in the evening was amazing and such a great place to come back to after a day of touring. Great jump off point to anything in the Chianti hills. We enjoyed both our stay here and a tour of the unique winery that is woven into many of the buildings throughout the town without really being noticeable. Happy to be able to pick up that wine in Texas and recall what an awesome experience we had. Can't wait to return.
