Castello Sonnino

Thank you Castello Sonnino! We had a large group for the winery tour and lunch which was truly spectacular. The team was able to meet our various needs and dietary restrictions, as well as share the history about the vineyard. We really appreciate everything they did for us!

We booked in for a tour, wine tasting and a light lunch. We had a fantastic time. The tour was informative and interesting (not too long which we liked). Light lunch was delicious, wine was poured liberally and was delicious and the lady who showed us around spoke fantastic English, was kind and friendly. Overall I would highly recommend.

I stayed at Castello Sonnino for a field school with 21 of my peers and professors, and the experience was absolutely spectacular. The food, the wine, the views everything was beautiful. The service was warm and welcoming. Everyone made us feel at home, especially Elisa she was incredibly kind and attentive. It truly felt special to be part of something so real and grounded in history. Thank you so much for opening your home to us. This is an experience I’ll never forget. -N

I stayed at Castello Sonnino for a field school through my university. It was a once in a life time experience. The food, views, lectures and wine were amazing. The staff were very welcoming and helpful! Elisa in particular went above and beyond for our group, incredibly kind. I will never forget my time at Castello Sonnino. Highly recommend the wine tour and tasting with lunch at Castello Sonnino. Beautiful setting and delicious wine. The Vin Santo was a particularly nice surprise- normally sweet wines are not my thing but this is delicious.

They overcharge you for the drinks and food. Food is only a pomodoro cheap pasta and try to charge so much for nothing. Other places so much better and better service and quality. Would not recommend

Booked light lunch, we didn’t get wine tour and they wanted to charge us 50€ for two people who only drink water. Average food and no explanation about wines. We felt scammed

Incredible experience, beautiful views, delicious wine, friendly service & we got a private tour ! We loved our time at Castello Sonnino! The wine tasting was sooo good - the wines were delicious and the servings were generous. We also got served lovely bruschetta - with their own olive oil and toppings - which were unexpected. The outside area is STUNNING and I recommend sitting out there. When we arrived it was only set up for us and one other table so we had a very calm, private, and special experience. Our server's knowledge and passion for their wines was obvious, and we felt very taken care of. Our wine tasting included a tour of the cellars and we we super lucky as we were the only booking - so we went on a private tour and got to learn so much about the history of the property (like centuries of history!!). Really enjoyed this place. The view was such a shift from being in Florence (where we came from). We also took a bus which was only around an hour long and a short walk from the location. Highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone wanting a Tuscan wine experience and to see something different than the city. This day is one of our most loved memories from our trip.
