Quite a climb if you are walking, but well worth the effort for the views over Vigo and the bay!
There is a carpark if that's your method of transport and the castle is signposted throughout the town. (I saw them!) 👍
Once there, it is free entry. Some renovation is underway and at the moment you cannot access the Armoury/castle magazine?
Information signs are posted around the fort but are only in Spanish. Many of the signs depict British ships and military /Naval officers so it was a pity that I couldn't actually fully understand their significance? Those were the days when we did rule the seas!
You can walk around sections of the walls giving you a feeling of what it must have been like all your those years ago?
