Casterbridge Hollow Boutique Hotel

Could have stayed in a 5 star at the same rate. Booked and confirmed 6 rooms for November at a better rate. When I asked if they didn’t want a deposit I was told the rooms had been let out to other people. Very unprofessional seeing we had even booked certain room numbers. TV is very small and not smart with limited programs

The stay was good, the room big and clean. The bed was to soft for my back and the plunger for the coffee in the room not working, other than our stay was lively.

The hotel is situated at a place called Casterbridge lifestyle centre so it’s very easy to find. The rooms are very clean with modern furniture. You get to have lovely breakfast at their rooftop restaurant. Even though we couldn’t get into the pool because it was freezing that weekend, it looked crisp and clean. The place itself is a one stop shop, there’s a spa, a variety of restaurants and antique shops including a Gin shop and an art gallery. Also close to Kruger National Park, so if the accommodation is expensive there, this is a wonderful and affordable place to stay.

It was an amazing pleasure to stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect! Our room was extremely elegant and comfy, equipped with everything we may need. It is surrounded by the field, so it is really quiet. The restaurant affiliated to the hotel was exceptional! The food was of top quality and variety and the staff extremely kind and professional. I highly recommend this place and will surely come back one day!

The staff both at the hotel and at the Magnolia Café are amazing; extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating.||I spent an entire week for work, this is not my first visit and this time I specifically asked to stay at Casterbridge.||I will surely return soon!!

I stayed at this property for two nights. The breakfast was decent and the restaurant for dinner was pretty good but very slow. The cookies and brownies in reception were delicious! The pool was interesting, but not very inviting looking. The Wi-Fi worked well the air conditioning did not which is a common problem I found in South Africa. There is a half empty mall next-door with a few restaurants, stores, a gin store and an open air gym. The big windows facing the pool allow you to feel like you are sitting at the pool with the guests as you can hear them very clearly. The rooms are big. There is not much to do in the white river area so I would skip it, but this is a decent place to stay for a night if you need to.

Nice hotel with quite large rooms. After a week in Kruger Park the nearby road is a bit irritating. Let's see if it calms down for the night. The small mall with shops and restaurants is nice. Thus we stayed here again in March 2025.

Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff was friendly, professional and helpful. Magnolia restaurant treated us to suberb breakfasts and delightful dinners. We enjoyed browsing around the automobile museums and quaint shops is the lifestyle centre. We really enjoyed our stay!
