"It’s hard to picture a historic landmark better suited to hospitality use than the 16th-century Universidad de Santa Catalina de Alejandría in the medieval city of Soria, Spain. A place of learning for nearly 300 years, this stately building is now home to Castilla Termal Burgo de Osma, the classrooms and offices transformed into luxurious rooms with original exposed stone walls and wood beams." - Tablet Hotels
Stunning building. Centuries old carefully renovated but main architectural features retained, now with skylights for basement spa experience. Rooms beautifully kept with blackout French shutters and good a/c control. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. Underground parking for convenience. Good spa circuit with lots of water features.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are large, the spa is great. And the room has a map with very good information and a bench, beside coffee/tea facilities. Unfortunately, we were very unhappy about the food. I am not a picky eater, I eat almost everything and never send a plate back, but I left all my food untouched and my husband had to sent his back since it was undercooked.

This was the perfect way to start our trip to Spain -- relaxing after a long flight and adjusting to the new time zone. Try the baths and spa, and visit the national park to hike.

This hotel is stunning and our room was large and very comfortable. The spa is an added luxury and we could use it free of charge with the type of room we’d booked. The outdoor pool had closed for the winter two days before our visit which we were a little disappointed about and we were not told about this before our visit. Breakfast is excellent. Good choice on the buffet and hot food was served to our table. Cannot fault the standard at all. The hotel is spotlessly clean and smart and the staff are very helpful. The only complaint I have is the cost of drinks at the bar. £26 pounds for two small, measured gin and tonics. This is extortionate and unnecessary as a few steps away in the town, they are a fraction of this price. Hence the bar was always very quiet. However, we very much enjoyed our stay and would definitively return if we were in the area.

An expensive hotel comparatively but worth it. The pools are incredible and relaxing but there is limited time to visit them if you have children with you.

Once again I had a fantastic experience in the Spa of Castilla-Termal in Burgo de Osma. The installation has been renovated and radiates total relax. The staff are very professional and know exactly what one needs to relieve tension and unwind. I highly recommend the products they use and especially want to thank Lesly for my massage sessions. I will definitely be going back again.

My first impression of this hotel was the worst! The staff in the reception was rude and they didn't want to help us with our wishes. Rooms were huge but smelled like smoke. The breakfast was great and with lots of variety. The spa was good but the pool was not very warm..
The staff made us feel like we were not welcome here.. this hotel is only situated in a beautiful building, nothing more.

Castilla Termal is an outstanding hotel. To begin with, the building itself is a fine example of old architecture with a beautiful façade and its impressive court. The rooms are quite big and comfortable, although the views were nothing to write home about. There´s a mixture of tradition and contemporary style in its decor. Big and impeccable bathrooms. Fantastic beds. One of its strong points is the spa. There are lots of jets -and they work properly-. Food is also outstanding: despite the reputation of many hotel restaurants, this one is an exception. My dinner there was delicious, everything was nicely presented and the service was very professional. Breakfast was also very good. All in all, it justly deserves five points.

This is a converted monastery University from the Middle Ages. The building has had significant remodelling done and the rooms are modern and comfortable. As the name implies the hotel also has thermal baths for the enjoyment of guests. The view from the inside of the building is quite impressive and the central patio is covered with a modern dome that allows the use of the patio as a central hall around which the cloister of rooms surrounds. The food is pretty good but you should also try the restaurant which is just next door to the hotel whose name escapes me but that was quite good.
