Overall we had a lovely time here. The rooms are well appointed and fairly spacious, the grounds and hotel itself are beautiful, and my wife had a lovely two days of spa treatments.
A few things to note. Do not eat at the "restaurant". They have a nicer restaurant that wasn't open when we were there but the other one was wildly over priced and very inconsistent in the quality of the food. My wife's fish and tomato sauce had almost no seasoning, while my fish and sauce was salted to the point of almost being in edible. The potatoes "our way" was mushy and blah. The eggs was excellent and I could eat that all day. The house wine is fine and priced well.
But really your here for the spa anyway. The chapel experience is lovely and well worth doing. Notw the timing is a little weird, as it says you get an hour and a half, but that includes the half hour "foam experience", which was nice but I would have liked longer in the sauna.
Speaking of that, the only sauna in the spa is the one in the chapel, which feels like a huge oversight. I really wanted to spend more time in the sauna, but sadly it isn't available. The pools are nice, though one that was heated to a higher temp would also have been welcome, everything is just warm.
Also not that the location does not connect to the highway, so other restaurants and wineries that look very close on the map are often 30 minutes away as you have to backtrack.
But really, your here for the spa and the hotels look and feel and they delivered on both. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and it was a lovely time.
