A wonderful place to spend a couple of hours and take in the outstanding scenery. €2 well spent. 🙏🏽❤️

It probably helps that the weather was marvellous. But hey that it is how it is in early July.

Worth 2€. A couple of interesting things inside, but to be honest the best is certainly the view. Not suitable for people struggling with stairs ;)

Beaches are great, town a little disappointing. Seafood restaurants near the Port end of town looked interesting. Free parking near the Port.

Beautiful castle with amazing views around the bay of San Vicente de la barquera. Inside you can see a hugh canon. When you go upstairs you can walk around and enjoy the views and take nice pictures. At the end there is a church you can visit too. Inside the central hall there is a 3D maquete of the castle and town.

Great walk from the town center to the castle. Awesome views and the cathedral is up there too. You can see the whole robes and the town from there. Peaceful and beautiful. A must see if you are in San Vicente de la Barquera. There sometimes a few expositions of local artist in the near museum. Usually free entrance.

Charming castle, well preserved and maintained. Enter only 2€. There is historical exhibition of castle and region upstairs and photo gallery downstairs and audiovisual room with short film. Everything looks good, but there are no English signs and boards, the film has no subtitles, so if you don't know Spanish you miss a lot. Such a pity. Seemed very interesting. I'd really like to come back here and learn more. That would be definitely 5 stars.
