My husband and I stayed at Castillo Hotel Son Vida for five nights last month. The property and room was absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. It seemed like the maids came multiple times a day to clean the room and bring water.
There were only a few things we didn't like about the hotel. We are very active people and we felt like we were "stuck" on the property unless we paid 12 euros to taxi into town or took a very long bus ride to town for 2 euros/person. The hotel is in a beautiful area, but it's inconvenient if you plan to go in to town or the beach often. Also, we had trouble with requesting things from the concierge (ice, iron, etc.) and it never arriving. We had to ask three times before the iron made it to our room. When we first arrived, we waited over an hour for our luggage to be brought to our room before we went down and brought it up ourselves. However, we heard from other guests there that they had no trouble with the service.
I recommend Castillo Hotel Son Vida if you want a high-class, beautiful hotel. However, if you plan to be in town or the beach often you may want to look elsewhere.
