⸻||The hotel itself was pleasant, but the breakfast service left something to be desired. We often had to wait a long time for coffee or tea, and our plates were cleared away before we had even finished eating. That said, the staff were very friendly—just not particularly well organized.||The sunbeds were set very close together, and the hotel seemed to cater more to flight crews than holidaymakers, giving it more of a motel feel than a resort atmosphere. At checkout, the receptionist was even surprised to learn we had stayed for a full week.

Had the best stay! Gorgeous room, fabulous hotel, and lovely staff. Totally relaxing, and felt like a treat from beginning to end. Building is amazing and bedrooms fabulous. Highly recommend! Terrace views are spectacular. Gym great - everything you need.

The entire hotel team were first class. All very helpful and made us feel welcome. It feels like a family. Excellent pre arrival contact to ask if any requests, and the exact room number requested was provided. ||Fantastic breakfast, with friendly efficient service, great choice of food and complimentary Cava which is a nice touch. Good views. ||Hotel room excellent with large balcony. Hotel is very well designed with historical pictures on the walls. Great bar overlooking Palma in the distance with first class service. ||Golf is superb with free transportation and the improvements to Son Vida course have made it even better. Son Muntaner fairways looking tired but new buggies excellent. All golf caddy masters were brilliant. ||A five star hotel in a quiet area but accessible to Palma, just 15 minutes away, to visit traditional restaurants. Five star luxury with golf. Marvelous.

This hotel is the perfect retreat for a long weekend in Palma. See away from the hustle and bustle of Palma in the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains, it is an oasis of tranquility and discreet, old world service.||The staff are highly attentive yet unobtrusive. From the bell-hops to the bar and restaurant staff, there is a sense of care and desire to ensure guests enjoy the experience.||The rooms are generous and comfortable. The swimming pool is an oasis with the most stunning backdrop of pines and mountains.||Given the location, it affords a greater sense of space from other inner-Palma hotels.||The only negative is the lack of readily-available filtered water which in this day and age should be table stakes.

This is a beautiful historic hotel set in a fabulous location. Only 15 minutes from Palma where we spent most evenings.|Three fantastic golf courses with a shuttle from the hotel and back although we seemed to catch the return pick up whenever there was an hour between pick ups rather than the usual half hour which meant we taxied back - frustrating. The golf caddies did look after our clubs though and ensured they were at the right course ready for our next round - hassle free. |Rooms were ok albeit a little dated lack of plugs near a mirror and views were mediocre.|The service was poor which is why I gave it 4/5. Breakfast disorganised with some of our party waiting over 30 minutes for coffee, no turn down one night in our room, slow at the pool bar to take orders for drinks or food, they were servicing the pool and bar with not enough staff.|They did apologise and we had some free drinks but sadly this doesn’t make it 5* in our opinion. I have seen a few other recent reviews saying the same.

I have stayed at this hotel on Mallorca several times, attracted by its location near Palma and its golf facilities. However, this stay was extremely disappointing. The receptionist was rude and completely inattentive. No information about the hotel or my loyalty benefits was provided. Instead, I was given a room without a view, even though better rooms were clearly available on the hotel’s own website. This is unacceptable and shows a lack of respect for returning guests. Breakfast was another unpleasant experience – chaotic, disorganized, and painfully slow. It felt more like a cheap cafeteria than a five-star property. Overall, what could have been another enjoyable stay was ruined by poor service and unprofessional staff. For a hotel that positions itself as a premium destination, such treatment is simply inexcusable.

I am just increasing the overall score a bit for one reason only is the staff of the hotel primarily, concierge team, Bell men very respectful and helpful, Resturant at breakfast very nice and friendly teams at least that were serving us during our stay, housekeeping team and the lady who answers every morning at the operator. This team made it special. But the awkward part of this customer experience journey which is the reception and their management Which are the front liners of any hotel which needs to ensure a smooth journey were not friendly, very abrupt and their management got have solved the issue in a very nice way yet they mad it a very negative experience yet since I am coming for a vacation so didn’t let their negative energy impact my stay. Yet I know that I am not going to stay at this property again or recommend it to others.

Yelp
Stuff is really unfriendly and slow. By lunch they forgot the half of the food. And it tooks super long. Mind the restaurant there.

Yelp
A relaxing getaway ride outside of Palma. The pool is so relaxing and has gorgeous cliffside views. The rooms are clean and beautiful. The restaurants - breakfast lunch and dinner and drinks - are amazing. The best freshly squeezed orange juice, delicious filet mignon and duck. Cozy vintage bar room to have a cocktail late at night. Overall a great experience.

Yelp
This hotel is absolutely stunning. The hotel looks like a castle, and it exudes classic elegance. The service is top notch as well. All the hotel staff go out of their way to make your stay memorable. We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon, and were so pleased with everything. The room are really large, and our bathroom even had a heated floor! The breakfast is great too, but us the same every day. There is no variety in any of the dishes except for the desserts that are put out (leftover from previous night). Wi-Fi is a little slow, and the TVs in the rooms are small. This isnt the most "high tech" or "business" resort out there if that is what you are looking for. Overall, 4.5 stars!

Yelp
Sadly only had one evening at this hotel but it was absolutely gorgeous! Very close to Palma, at least closer than staying on the other side of the island where the Hyatt resort is. I really loved this hotel, it used to be a castle and has so much charm. We had a room with quite a grand balcony and an amazing view of palma and the near by golf courses. If you are going to Mallorca to have an relaxing vacation I'd definitely recommend this hotel. As an SPG member, I did receive an upgrade and daily breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet was amazing with tons of insanely good options. And chilling poolside was just about as relaxing as it gets. The hotel was under construction when we were there which was a tad bit annoying. They lose a star because you cannot make the air conditioning in the room go below 27 degrees celsius and that's just too hot for me to sleep in.

Yelp
My husband and I spent the second half of our honeymoon in Mallorca and Castillo Hotel Son Vida came highly recommended. We *almost* forgot the purpose of our trip until we arrived and were greeted by Davinia at check-in with a very warm, genuine welcome. Upon hearing we were honeymooning, she was kind enough to upgrade our room (it was massive!) and then proceeded to send champagne and chocolates to our room. It was a lovely introduction and made us feel truly special and welcomed and celebrated as newlyweds. This wonderful ambiance was consistent throughout our stay. Housekeeping leaves you fresh bottles of water and chocolates in your room daily and in Davinia's absence, both Jose and Amanda were always ready to help us. For activities and reservations outside the property, both Pep Toni and Angel guided us with honest and experienced recommendations. Should you not want to venture far, the resort has nights of entertainment planned as well - the evening we arrived there was an acoustic guitarist to accompany our buffet dinner. It was lovely. The entire property is charming and romantic. I can't stress enough that every member of staff went above and beyond and made us feel welcome and like we never wanted to leave.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at Castillo Hotel Son Vida for five nights last month. The property and room was absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. It seemed like the maids came multiple times a day to clean the room and bring water. There were only a few things we didn't like about the hotel. We are very active people and we felt like we were "stuck" on the property unless we paid 12 euros to taxi into town or took a very long bus ride to town for 2 euros/person. The hotel is in a beautiful area, but it's inconvenient if you plan to go in to town or the beach often. Also, we had trouble with requesting things from the concierge (ice, iron, etc.) and it never arriving. We had to ask three times before the iron made it to our room. When we first arrived, we waited over an hour for our luggage to be brought to our room before we went down and brought it up ourselves. However, we heard from other guests there that they had no trouble with the service. I recommend Castillo Hotel Son Vida if you want a high-class, beautiful hotel. However, if you plan to be in town or the beach often you may want to look elsewhere.
