Castle Cottage Inn

Wonderfully relaxing weekend in the Castle Cottage Hotel, Harlech. Pattra was the perfect host; warm, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The suite (3) was immaculate, comfortable and warm. Big comfortable bed and in adjoining living room sofa, smart TV and stunning views all round. Large bathroom - bath was huge and luxurious, as was the shower. Lovely toiletries, tea and snacks - real attention to detail. Food was delicious and exactly as ordered, service excellent. We look forward to returning.

Our overnight visit in late September was amazing! Pattra was delightful and had all the special touches in place, from Welsh cakes, biscuits, teas and coffees in our room to a delicious dinner in the bar. Not to be forgotten was a very tasty full breakfast. I highly recommend this lovely inn and hope to visit again!

Having visited several times I thought it time to write a review. ||This is an exceptional venue to eat and relax. The food is some of the best I’ve had. ||I had steak, my partner had the meat pie, both were excellent. ||The hosts are very nice and even gave me a free desert for my birthday celebrations. The bar is styled around aviation and drink options plentiful. ||If you looking for a place to eat or overnight stay this would certainly be a great choice, you won’t be disappointed.

My reviews are 100% truthful but if something is wrong I will mention it. We had arrived at a holiday cottage 300 metres away which was filthy and dirty so could not stay there. We called Pattra, the owner, and fortunately she could accommodate us that night. Was not sure what to expect. This place has to be one of the very best places I have stayed. Fabulous.Nothing whatsoever was too much trouble for Pattra. The rooms were perfect down to the most minute detail. Everything was spotless and 5 star. Pattra could not do enough for us. What an amazing host! We spent the evenings in the bar which was lovely meeting some of the regulars. We were made so welcome so I will not look anywhere else when visiting the area again. It would be a total waste of time and disappointing to stay anywhere else! Thank you Pattra for making my Wife's Birthday so memorable!

What a fabulous place. Our room (no. 4), on the ground floor, with a limited view of the castle, (1 minute walk away) was spacious and spotlessly clean. It had some lovely extras, such as bathroom scales, air conditioning unit, fan, clothes steamer, comfy sofa and fridge. There were lots of toiletries in the bathroom, which had a bath and wet room. There were plenty of beverages, biscuits and a bottle of water. |Pattra was a perfect hostess, nothing was too much trouble and she made sure we wanted for nothing.|Castle Cottage Inn is on (allegedly) the steepest street in the world, and with only 3 parking spaces, it was a tight squeeze getting in (not for the faint-hearted).|We ate in Pattra's restaurant once which was delicious. Harlech is a small place with therefore limited eating places, but we tried the local pizza restaurant which was made delicious pizzas.|We will definitely be recommending Castle Cottage Inn to our friends.

Quality, tasteful, comfortable are the words that jump to mind. Lovely room, a warm welcome and delicious breakfast. Couldn't want for more 😊 We didn't eat here in the evening, which was a mistake. Would definitely do so if we come again.

The best hotel I've ever stayed in. Beautifully clean, friendly and welcoming staff. Room 7 with castle view was superb. Loved the ambiance, decor, facilities and extra touches like.. everything was taken care of and the breakfast was delicious. Wish we had stayed for dinner but arrived later than expected. Will be staying again for sure and highly recommend. SUBERB 5* THANK YOU

A lovely welcome from Pattra! We had a lovely room with all the comforts of a five star hotel, the evening meal and breakfast were delicious and the service was fantastic, we will definitely return in the future, many thanks Marilyn and Iain
