Castle Garden Bazaar

Beautiful during snowy weather. A must-see entrance (or exit) from Buda Castle. Strolling through here was really nice, and it’s very convenient with electric stairs and an elevator to reach the top.

Amazing place and wonderful gardens and buildings, I've always said that Budapest its a fairy tale city, its beautiful almost in every corner of it.

Castle Garden Bazaar (Várkert Bazár) is a beautifully restored Neo-Renaissance complex at the foot of Buda Castle — a must-see blend of history, architecture, gardens, and culture in Budapest. Wander along colonnaded walkways, pause in lush ornamented gardens, and enjoy expansive views of the Danube and Pest skyline. Inside, you’ll find galleries, underground event halls, cafés, and restaurants—ideal for exhibitions, concerts, and seasonal festivals. While exploring, you can also ride the charming escalator that connects riverside level to the upper terraces, a whimsical nod to the castle’s hillside setting Whether it’s admiring the architecture, attending an open-air concert, or simply sipping a drink overlooking the river, Castle Garden Bazaar offers an unforgettable, multi-dimensional experience that captures Budapest’s heritage and contemporary spirit.

Very beautiful garden in a well structured monument full of history. When you reach the top of the gardens, take a moment to admire the view and tram that passes by. Also, if you have some time, I would totally recommend booking a tour to Empress Sissy’s stares and secret room. The replica of Sissy was stunning, and I got to learn a few more details about her life in Budapest. Just be careful not to book one in Hungarian.

A nice garden to walk through and take pictures of. Was still under construction when I was there but still spend quite some time there. Pretty flowers, fountains, sculptures and architecture. No ticket needed.

Magnificent place… architecture, effort to make this place look stunning just amazing! FREE to visit. Beautiful green garden, great for kids, families or couples to chill out. Either walk up to the castle or down to the river Danube, this place is a great spot to start. Romantic, the scenery of Pest, the bridges… It is a must see part of Budapest 👍🏻

A quite nice garden, though small, and the buildings are beautiful too.

Just beautiful. I loved strolling the gardens and having a view of the river. I googled it while there and read about the history. Definitely recommended when visiting Budapest.
