Ace apartments

During my recent trip to Bled, Slovenia, I stayed at the Castle Hostel and I have to say, it was one of the highlights of my trip. The hostel is located in a beautiful setting, with stunning views of the castle and lake. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The common areas were cozy and inviting, making it easy to meet other travelers. I would definitely recommend the Castle Hostel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Bled.

A hostel with a homely feel. The welcome, maps and advice about the area by Casper was really pro and helpful! An improvement can be the signs at the top of the street to the hostel entrance - we were a bit confused. The wrist band for 10% discounts at some bars/restaurants in town is great too. Easy walk to a little supermarket, to the lake and the castle.

Probably the best hostel I've stayed at. Amazing atmosphere and staff. Plenty to do in and around bled. Great kitchen area where everyone makes bug group dinners. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Stayed here for 9 days in May You will not find a hostel in Bled better than this. Absolutely perfect atmosphere, very calm/chill with a bar down the street that you can go to if you're looking for the party atmosphere and a nearby shop that has all you need. The owner, Miha is very accommodating and super nice with perfect recommendations and great local knowledge. The only thing that is a drawback is the lack of a hob or oven but the reasons for this was explained and fully understandable. Honestly this place was just perfect and I fully intend on returning in the future

* Superficial hospitality. Unpleasant attitude from the host (the young man running the place). Apparently this echoes some other reviews. * Learning that I live in Amsterdam, the young man running the place offered me to try the local weed (...). * For the best sunset in Bled the young man running the place suggested to trespass the fence on the back side of the Castle. Situation: I was heading for a 3 day mountaineering around Triglav at 5am when I learned that the door of the kitchen is actually locked, and hence not being able to reach the food & snacks I've prepared for the next days. When I ultimately found the phone number (there is no contact details at the premises in case of urgency in the hostel) and reached the host, I was told that entering the kitchen it is not possible and the sign on the door says the kitchen opens at 7am. I inquired for some solution e.g. for a key to unlock & lock the kitchen. He dropped the call. When I called again, he said not to phone and again dropped the call. Respectfully, the sign on the kitchen door only speaks about the closure at 11pm (which may be tricky to notice during the day when the door is opened). The sign does NOT indicate the kitchen to open at 7am. Other hostels use the term 'closure of the kitchen' to stop cooking at night, not the actual lock of the door. What IF I had a medicine in the fridge (?)

10/10 atmosphere, the other guests were fun and friendly. The owner/host guy was so accommodating and helpful and just a generally good guy. There is always free food in the kitchen and there are more than enough cutlery and utensils for everyone. It is a short walk from everything (restaurants, bars, the lake, the gorge) and there is a supermarket right beside it. Overall it’s a great place to stay, and excellent value for money. :)

Very nice! I stayed in a private room with its own bathroom and airconditioning. Towels were not included (but you can probably rent them, I didn’t ask). The owner is very friendly and has lots of suggestions about what’s nice to visit. The place has the best stocked and most used kitchen I’ve ever seen in a hostel!

The hostel location is perfect. There's a super market just behind the hostel. The hostel manager AB was an amazing host, he recommended best things to do around bled and it was worth. The rooms/wc was clean and also the kitchen. I would again stay in this hostel.
