Having never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast, we were a little cautious, but my love of old buildings drew us to Castle La Crosse. Upon arrival you will be greeted by the owner who will give you a quick tour of the castle and show you your room. You will have access to several areas within the castle, each with its own style and feel. The Castle feels very homey and comfortable. Breakfast was a 3 course, sit down meal. It was a wonderful way to meet the other guests and talk more to the owner about the restoration and history of the castle. The castle is well maintained and incredibly clean. It was easy to get to many of the local attractions and a walk around the neighborhood will show you other well maintained older homes. Highly recommend.

My husband surprised me by taking me here for my birthday. The owner has impeccable taste which shows in the amazing attention to detail in the decor and service. He greeted us by our first names when we walked in the door and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. I definitely felt like royalty staying here, and would encourage anyone to jump at a chance to stay in this gorgeous bed and breakfast.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|We had a fantastic stay at this bed and breakfast in La Crosse, WI. Brandon was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We learned so much history of the home and the restoration of the property. The accommodations were comfortable and well cared for, and breakfast was delicious. A special highlight was Pronto, the host’s sweet dog, who added such a warm and friendly touch to our stay. Everything was relaxing and enjoyable—we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Your stay at Castle La Crosse Bead & Breakfast is a magical experience. From the moment you pull up, you are immersed in another world. As you unload your luggage, there is the sound of a trickling fountain gurgling near you - it's so serene, it sets the stage. You enter the castle as special guests would have long ago, through the side door - greeted by one of the owners (we met Brandon). Once through the door, you are transported to an amazing feast for the senses. The mood is like that at a spa - the lights are low, as if the lamps were still gas, there is subtle, light music playing from . . . somewhwere. The main hall gives a glimps into the other rooms on the main floor with decor takes you back to another time. Beautiful, polished wood, upholstered furniture, and treasures from world travels adorn every surface, nook and cranny, without feeling overdone. Shoes off are a must, then you are guided up the grand main staircase to the second level where the guest rooms are located. My husband and I stayed in the Maple Room, and every detail from floor to ceiling was meticulously attended to - from the glasses and carafe of water (and surprise treat) on the dresser, to the cozy throw and pillows in the window seat, to the sumptuous bath robes in the elegant bathroom. The natural light, views of the historic neighborhood and spaciousness of the room took our breath away. The linnens and bedding were so soft and fresh. This was truly a magical place - and we'd only really been in our room! We stayed two nights, and wish we could have stayed longer. The pictures on their website of all the rooms in the castle are wonderful, so definitely check those out. I did include photos of our two fabulous breakfasts - crafted by Brandon! I'm a picky eater, and I ate everything! It was amazing - so fresh and light, but hearty at the same time. There were several couples staying the weekend, and we had the privilage to be served upstairs in the little turret room - so cozy and romantic! Tom, Brandon's dad made several trips upstairs to bring our food, check on us, and clear the service when we were through. Incredible. By the way, we only got to chat with Brandon a little bit when we arrived, but he is a cool guy and a gracious host. We talked several times with Tom, and he had quite the knack for engaging with us in a short chat, then almost floating away to let us enjoy the peacefulness of the house. Thanks Tom! Oh, I must add that the home is spotless and fresh. I was so impressed that every corner, and surface was extremely clean and dust-free. Wow! So, if you hadn't surmised, we highly recommend staying at Castle La Crosse. I could go on for days, but you'll have to come discover for yourself just how special it is.

Brandon was very courteous and provided a warm and charming atmosphere. His home was very clean and the breakfast items he made from scratch were fantastic! We enjoyed the common areas for reading and relaxing throughout our stay. The recommendations for the greater La Crosse area were fantastic. Definitely recommend and we will be coming back for sure!

The breakfasts that we had for our 3 night stay was absolutely amazing. Brandon was so nice and explained the antiques from the castle. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Loved the location and we walked everywhere.

Wonderful choice for our 40th wedding anniversary trip: great breakfast flavor and presentation, marvelous decor, comfortable lodging, and within walking distance of many parks and restaurants. We enjoyed the story of the building and appreciated the effort applied to its grandeur.

We love this place and just completed our now second fall trip here, a new tradition. It is outstanding from every perspective. Our goal it to eventually stay in every room. The morning breakfast is so tasty and well though out, plus they were very attentive to specific allergy needs.

Yelp
Extremely a pleasant experience and delightfully historic. It is an amazing stay. The attention to detail from the host is great. The one item I might suggest is that there is an assumption that all parties preferred to have breakfast separately, when in fact, many seemed to enjoy more of a captains / admirals table where they could meet others and have greater interaction.

Yelp
Poor invite & closure! Beautiful place & breakfast. Owners not inviting!! I'm hopeful the owners can be more thankful of the amount of money you spend at the Castle!!

Yelp
This was our second stay at the castle. Billy and Brandon are wonderful hosts with exceptional attention to detail and make every guest feel special and welcome. The property is spectacular and speaks for itself. Clearly a labor of love and dedication to preserving it's natural state of majesty. The breakfast was phenomenal. Brandon is the chef and clearly a culinary master. We will go back time and again. Put this experience on the top of your bucket list!
