I had the pleasure of staying at Château De Maraval with my family, and it was truly one of the best experiences we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, not only ensuring we had everything we needed at the Château but also offering excellent recommendations for sightseeing, making restaurant reservations, and more.||The breakfast was simply outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options to start our day. The garden and pool area were perfect for relaxation, offering a peaceful escape in a beautiful setting. The location itself is ideal, with easy access to many charming towns and villages, as well as plenty of fun activities nearby.||I highly recommend Château De Maraval for anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway. Hopefully we will return again!

Our stay at Château Maraval was nothing short of magical. Laurie and Dorian provided personalized service that went above and beyond, making every moment unforgettable. The property itself is an enchanting old convent with a rich history dating back to the Hundred Years' War. Laurie dedicated more than a year to researching the story of the place, diving into historical archives to uncover its fascinating past, which she shared with us during our stay. Perfectly located near the best towns in the region, Château Maraval is a haven of tranquility. The stars at night are breathtaking, and the serene forest brings deer right to your view as you enjoy breakfast. Laurie and Dorian truly made our anniversary unforgettable by filling the room with roses and helping us secure reservations at top spots. Château Maraval is not just a stay; it’s an extraordinary experience of history, beauty, and unmatched hospitality. Highly recommend!

The Chateau de Maraval is a beautifully restored historic chateau. Our room was bright and modern, looking out over the magnificent grounds. The bathroom was well equipped, including a walk in shower. Behind the hotel there's a gorgeous, heated outdoor pool. Breakfast was excellent. On the front desk Laurie was ever obliging and a fund of information on the locality. She sent us to some of the best restaurants we've ever been to in France. The hotel is situated in a beautiful part of Dordogne and is a great touring base. We'll be back next year!!

We came to Chateau de Maraval to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday in July and had a wonderful stay. The staff were so attentive and kind and really couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel’s linen and bedding were really high quality, the room was beautiful and the grounds were immaculate. Although there is no dinner option, the staff made a good recommendation for dinner and the platters served would be more than sufficient after a full lunch out. Breakfast was also very nice - at full occupancy, they may need to put more out on the buffet, but we had the luxury of a host who really worked his socks off to get us anything we could have wanted from the kitchen. We will be back!

Make no mistake - this is “only” a 4 star hotel in name - everything about it is 5 star!|The personalised and warm welcome we received upon arrival was carried through with every contact we had with every member of staff. Really lovely people who couldn’t do enough to make our stay wonderful. |The hotel itself has recently undergone a lot of investment and the whole place oozes luxury. |Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer but we’ll be back!|In terms of location, it’s perfect for visiting lots of the beautiful places in the Dordogne - all within easy driving distance. |This place is a gem - don’t miss it!!

I fell in love with this place! The luxurious castle, the rooms, the breakfasts, the beautiful garden with huge trees and the wonderful pool. This place is created to have fun and be in the arms of nature. The service staff works at a high level, they are very professional guys, they speak several languages and are very charming. Be sure to visit Maraval Castle☝🏻♥️!

The amazing place ever during my one week travel to the Southwest of France. The interior designs, the garden, swimming pool…we can feel the owner put their heart on that. Sure that we will visit again. Love from Vietnam

Beautiful chateau and in a great location! Luxurious, spacious rooms and bathrooms, newly renovated. Excellent facilities: swimming pool, jacuzzi, hamam, and gym space; massage can be booked on demand. Very attentive service, accommodating “every wish”, facilitating a very comfortable stay - great dinner recommendations in the area or light dinner plates in the hotel, with local products. Diverse, generous breakfast. Great location for key attractions in the Perigord Noir in relative short drives.
