Castle Motel

I had a wonderful stay at this motel! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making check-in quick and easy. Great value for money and would definitely stay again!

Only gave 1 to write review |Arrived at 5:35 to be advised no room and they had called 3 mins earlier to advise, faulty toilet.|NO room on site, if we had of arrived earlier yes, but they gave the room to someone else. |Offer of accommodation 40min drive away, not walking distance to the restaurant we had dinner booked for in just over an hour, nor the events the Theatre Royal, when asked if taxi vouchers were declined.|Would not explain WHY the room had not been given the clearance post previous checkout AND check in is at 2:00 so why the 5:32 call.|Appalling and we suggested a plumber and they said no. No plumbers in Castlemaine??||Stayed at Temperance Hotel, magnificent, stunning and with breakfast, a true old world gem, but over $130 more than we had budgeted for.||No offer of compensation 😤😡😢

The motel was well situated, just a ten minute walk to the town centre. Having come from Melbourne it was only a fifteen minute drive to the Calder Freeway. The motel was comfortable and clean. Our unit included a microwave and toaster plus the normal tea and coffee facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is a motel I have no hesitation to using again.

Stayed one night here. The room was clean, bed comfortable and a shower great. The location was very convenient, close to everything. |The price for the stay was very reasonable. Would stay again.

Worst experience. Booked 3 weeks in advance and they called at 5:32pm, missed the call driving, pulled into their driveway 5:35 to check in to be advised NO room as the toilet was broken. Why hadn’t we been advised post the checkout of previous people, esp as check in is 2:00…. Was advised that they had given another room to someone who arrived earlier. I had confirmed by phone twice and received email confirmation. Offering of a motel 40mins away when we had dinner in Castlemaine booked for 645pm and would not pay for taxi transportation. Shocking shocking service. I’m sure there are local plumbers who would have attended.

The best shower i have ever had in accomodation. Clean and great service. Comfy bed. |Great for a quick nights stay if passing through.

The Room 8 that I was allocated for my stay at the Castle Motel is in desperate need of renovation. It needs complete refurbishment. The walls had numerous paint patches and the carpet was worn and dated. The bathroom exhaust fan was covered in dust particles and had not been cleaned for sometime. The linen on the main bed was clean however, there was a small dark stain on the bottom sheet. The exterior carpark needs addressing as gravel particles are constantly being picked up by shoe traffic and walked into the room.

The room was very comfortable. Old bathroom but clean and well appointed. Air conditioning was quiet, which was great as it was such a hot weekend . Nice to have a microwave, although I didn't use it. Also nice to have a comfy couch, sure beats sitting on the bed. Table and chairs were also great.
