we went at 9am, so cooler & with the steep uneven steps it was definitely worth it, nobody else around. The church within the remains of the castle is beautiful & there is a pile of blank paper & pens/pencils to leave your message. amazing views from several locations. probably not recommend for people with mobility issues of small children as no handrail up the path.

Definitely worth the drive if you're on the south east coast of the Island. Time it right (sunset) and you're in for a treat! Simply a stunning location that won't fail to impress and awe you. There's a small shop at the base for drinks and snack food. Plenty of area to park. Restaurants on the way back through the village were largely empty when we visited. It's a dark drive back if you go for sunset so be prepared for Deer and Rabbits to jump out.

Breathtaking views at the top. Old ruins and a lovely little chapel. No cost all free, park at the bottom and its a 5 minute walk up steps to the top.

Absolutely stunning views. Easily the best views over the mountains we’ve seen so far in Rhodes. Church is tiny but nice, but you go here for the view. Steepish climb up, but easily doable, you’d want decent shoes on. Nice little cafe at the bottom. But tight on parking but we found a spot easy enough. No charge to park or enter. Drive over is pleasant winding through the mountains. Very glad we made the effort to come

Monolithos Castle is one of the most beautifully located spots on Rhodes! 🏰 The drive is easy, with a parking area right near the entrance, and the visit itself is completely free. It’s worth climbing to the top for breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea – perfect for taking photos. Inside the ruins, there is a small church of St. Panteleimon, which you can step into. The whole place has a peaceful, authentic atmosphere. The walk up isn’t long or too steep, so it’s accessible for most visitors. I highly recommend this place to anyone exploring the western side of the island – a perfect mix of history, nature, and stunning scenery.

A truly unique place for pictures! The views from the castle are absolutely stunning, with the sea and mountains creating an unforgettable backdrop. Perfect spot for photography and a must-visit on Rhodes

I really liked this place. Its a small church type building on the top of rock/ cliff. It's a steady trek up the carved steps, not easy, but well worth the effort. The views are spectacular. Sheers drops can make you feel dizzy.... we went on a wet day and were at times in the clouds its that high up. No charge to enter, plenty of free parking. The surrounding area is made of pine trees with the most beautiful smell.... definitely worth a visit.

Stunning views and peaceful atmosphere! The Castle of Monolithos may be in ruins, but its clifftop location offers incredible scenery, especially at sunset. A short hike leads to breathtaking vistas and a charming little chapel. Absolutely worth a visit!
