Castle Park Riverside

Please save your money and do not come here. I have been coming here for 50 years and I have never see the park in such disrepair. The mini golf was a joke. 4 courses (3 open) putting surfaces torn up, balls not coming out of the hidden paths and getting stuck, mini buildings in poor condition, all water features no longer working and empty for a long time. The worst of all is the electrical hazards all over the place. A broken light with exposed high voltage wires for a small child to touch is unacceptable. The arcade is a joke at the moment with machines not working. Peter was a horrible manager. When told of the issues with the machines he didn't seem to care and when i asked for my money back on one of the three cards i purched he would not and told me "i hope you never come back". The only employee that has a future in customer service is AJ. He apologized for the inconveniences and although his hands were tied, was very pleasant to speak with. I will never return to castle park and I will never go to any place owned by Lucky Strike.

We went to Castle Park for the first in on 9/27/25 for Castle Dark. We had a really good time. Was well organized and we got to go through all three mazes and a few rides. I was surprised at how fun some of the rides are. The staff were all friendly. Some of the monsters were even paying catch with my son with a ball that he was able to get from the grabber machine in the arcade. The food was pretty good as well. Going to be going back for some miniature golf. Highly recommend Castle Park for a day out with the family.

I wanted to like this small amusement park. It does have a lot of charm and character. The drawbacks were security. I saw two ppl set off the metal detector. The first person told the person they were wearing suspenders the second person said it was their belt buckle that set off the detector. The person ruby security let these ppl through without a second thought or checking to ensure what set off the mental detector. Whole at the park we went to play miniature golf. The last 4-5 holes on course 3 and 4 were in the dark. The light did not work at the holes or the pathway. You needed to managing stairs and uneven pathways in the dark. When this was mentioned the ppl working they said the rain got water in the lights and there was nothing they could do. It’s a safely issue if you want see the stairs or uneven pathways around the course.

Went for haunt night, very entertaining, well organized. Employees were friendly and helpful. Park needs updating and cleaning, restrooms were disgusting. Rides kept going out of service. Parking was $25.00/expensive. My daughter liked her chicken tenders, carne asada fries were awful.

I use to come here when I was younger and it’s changed a lot. Now they have a splash pad water park which use to be a parking lot for the arcade…that’s a nice change. I love the shade the trees provide as you’re walking towards the mini golf and arcade, that was great they kept those trees! Back in the day there were magic shows but I don’t see that they have it anymore. The park looked clean and well maintained! Keep in mind it is a cashless park. Overall it was a good experience coming here with my kids!

On 2/28/26, my family and I visited Castle park for a family fun day. I had the best experience! The carne asada fries were delicious. The food and beverage team were welcoming and on top of my service. I really appreciate the great customer service I received! Definitely coming back again!

Well some of the rides were not operational. But overall we still had a great time. I think the beers are a little bit high price and also the margaritas. The food under the tent was pretty good and reasonably priced.

My wife and I brought our nine year old grandson. We had a wonderful time. We purchased GOLD Season Tickets Online. All of the staff were very polite and kind. The park was very clean as well as the bathrooms We stayed 4 1/2 hours. Can't wait to use our passes again. And Kevin The Peacock was simply beautiful.

Just wow. This was not what I was expecting at all. The tickets were reasonably priced, it was fun for different ages, and the overall vibe was great. We brought our entire softball team here as a fun activity during one of our last tournaments together, and we had such a good time. The parents were able to grab drinks and food and relax while the girls ran around enjoying both the thrilling rides and the more laid-back ones. The park was spacious, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We would absolutely love to come back and spend more time here. I know I'll definitely be back!

I'm so disappointed to see that Castle Park has taken away their entertainment. We always loved all the show and events and loved it more because it felt like community but now we will have to look elsewhere. It can't always be about the almighty dollar!

Castle Park is a fun place to go whenever you don't know what to do. You can stay there all day since they have a mini golf and an arcade. Over the summer, there is a splash park that is open. There's food and also they have outdoor games to play and win a stuffed animal. It's a fun place to take the family to.

Loved going here for the entertainment and rides very saddened to hear a huge part of the park will be going away. PLEASE keep the entertainment department it's brings so much joy and excitement to so many children and families.

I don't understand how this place is operating anymore. I know it's changed ownership, but I thought it was gonna get better, not worse. What's happening with the shows? The best part of the park is the shows, the last one Mardi Gras was ok but the larger shows we are used to. I hope they get their act together before Halloween, because that has always been the best.

Castle Park you made the wrong decision you got rid of entertainment department that was saving your park all the hard work people put into costumes and the people that run shows and actors and actresses that perform and all the scare actors very disappointed in your decision until you can fix this decision I will not be coming back to this park figure out how to make it right

Was at Castle Park a couple of weeks ago and the kids were at first excited as they enjoyed it as they went with friends a couple of years ago. Getting into Castle Park, parking is $15. You can pay ahead of time on their website or as you enter the parking lot. There's a good amount of parking for guests. I will say that this park is mostly for younger kids but there is also Miniature Golf and I believe that is an extra cost. What we did not know is that on the day we visited, the Tilt a Whirl, Merlin's Revenge and Fireball were not working that day and we didn't realize that Ghostblasters, Screamin' Demon and another ride, which I can't for the life of me remember was no longer there. A tad bit disappointing but we tried to make the most of it. Be aware that if you haven't been here before, this is a cashless park. Make sure you have a credit card of some sort or use ApplePay.

Ok, it's cool that there are 3 things to do here. Parking is a $15 additional, but the ticket prices aren't bad and they do give senior discounts. The rides are fun, but 2 really good ones were shut down so that was disappointing when you pay full price for a park. The beer tent has good cold beers and good fries but for sure, park prices. The water splash "park" area is big and fun, but no lockers. So you can't put your stuff down and walk away. They have 4 mini-golf courses and we played 2 of them. The girl at the counter, when we asked, knew how to describe each course so we knew which 2 we wanted to play (2 are the more fun ones, an easiest one & hardest one). It was good that we were given 3 extra balls when starting in case we lost any over the side. But it was needed because so many got stuck in the transistion ramps. We had to go back and get 4 more balls after so many never came down into the next part of the hole. They really need to do some maintenance on that part of it. But it was a very fun day for the price with all those different things to do!

I visited castle park last weekend and was severely disappointed with the staff. Some short stubby mechanic I think with curly hair was extremely aggressive and rude as he was fixing a ride. I also heard derogatory terms coming from him as he was speaking with other staff. I was extremely upset as my kids were with me and this behavior is unacceptable.

Hubby and I decided to take the grandkids to Castle Park, for the summer It was so much fun! No long lines, and rides were all open even the ones for our little girl she had so much fun going from one ride to the other, the older ones got on the rides many times we took the train and enjoyed it so much as well! Thank you staff it brought so many beautiful memories when our son and daughters were young. But we mostly went to play miniature golf good times beautiful memories! We will keep coming back.

Friend group always talked about going to play mini-golf somewhere and last Friday, July 5th we made it happen. Things I didn't know, you have to pay for parking and it's $15 and if you pay online you save $2 on mini-golf. I was surprised at how nice the inside of Castle Park was. Some buildings/attractions definitely reminded me of Knott's Berry Farm or Disneyland! Mini-golf was actually really fun and relaxing. One disappointing feature was there was no water in any of the pools by each hole. Another complaint was the weather did not get cool at all once the sun went down and there was no breeze! We were golfing in 83 degree weather up until 10 p.m. Other than that, a fun time was had by everyone in my 35 and over friend group with no kids! I would definitely come back for mini-golf!

Wow!! Can't believe I'm really here after so many years. I used to come with my own friends now coming with my own little family is inane! Everything is completely the same. Nothing hasn't changed is kinda gross! This place definitely needs some change and upgrades. It's a nice little spot from all the traffic and crowds going to Knotts. Entrance check In is strict!

Had a lot of fun at Castle Dark recently! $30 to get in isn't bad, just felt like we didn't have enough time to ride all the rides we wanted, it was 7-10 pm and if you don't get there at 7 exactly, you have a lot less time than you realize. One of the mazes didn't really have actors in it which was kind of strange to me and not that fun. But the one that did have actors was great! The actors do a good job scaring people throughout the park too.

If you tell me I can't bring my purse on a ride, then give me a locked box I can put it in. They refused to let me on a ride because I would not leave my purse outside.

Just had a horrible experience with one of their staff member SAGE. She's currently on the bumper cars ride and ruined mine and my family's experience. After waiting for more than an hour, she didnt let us board the ride simply because my kids who were waiting in the shade (at a 105 temperature) were not waiting for the whole hour in the line. Horrible people and horrible experience. I would ask the management to take STRICT ACTION AGAINST SAGE & MATTHEW. I will seek official compliant against these 2 people, who did nothing and some of the folks around even used the F word in a freaking kids park. Useless security and ambiguous policy makers.

Overall experience was good. We (3) came to the the park for miniature golf Seemed they had the park secured the only thing I didn't like they usually don't charge for parking however it was a 15 dollar fee just to park to play mini golf.

A fun experience with the right crowd. I went here with 8 friends and we had a blast screwing around and riding all the rides. Decent selection of rides and most of them are the typical ones you would find at a fair. We spent the whole day from 2pm - 10pm so there is definitely plenty enough to do. The park itself is not that large so you can walk through everything fairly quickly. The one thing I can say is service is lacking. Every employee looks sad and bored. Rides were slow to onboard/off board and restrictions were limited. Not a big deal since the lines for majority of rides were short and only like 2 rides weren't operating which wasn't bad. Food was common fair food at an okay price. Got a funnel cake and a pizza later at night. Ask them for a water cup they give a full soda cup filled with ice water for free which is amazing. Only bad experience was at night when I was ordering a Hawaiian pizza, the pizza took 20 minutes to make just for them to make it WRONG because they placed sausages instead of ham. The employee showed no remorse and basically told us it would take 8 minutes to remake or we can take the sausage one or a pepperoni. Bruh the pepperoni is cheaper than the Hawaiian why would that be an option. The lack of support to effectively fix this problem drops service a few stars also when I looked inside there were just three girls chatterboxing away so I'm not surprised they got the order wrong they were hardly working. This experience was far from professional and honestly left a bad taste in my mouth right before we were about to leave the park which I had a good day in. Overall I got a deal to come here. We bought a family 4 pack (all parks/minigolf/water park/ 1 car parking) for $100. $25 per person for everything you can do was a great deal. I would not pay full price because it's like $40 and there isn't THAT much to do. Definitely a good place with kids or a large group otherwise you probably can save your money and go elsewhere.

Family fun and affordable. I always come here once a month to play mini golf with the family after church service. It turns into a family fun to a bitter rivalry real quick. You'll be wanting to come back for rematches all the time!

BLUF: buy your tickets online for a reduced price!! 80's and 90's vibe going on at this amusement park. Very wide open layout which prevents the shoulder to shoulder traffic that you get at other theme parks. The waiting cues are not too bad as the park is usually not extremely busy compared to others. Food and drink prices are moderately priced as what you would expect and there are options spread out through the entire park. The rides and the miniature golf is a bit dated, but is an excellent entertainment option for the price. The water park in the back of the park is wild cat and a nice cool down option for the hot summer days. There are small changing rooms however, I'd recommend that you dress before coming to the park so that you don't have to wait for a room to open up. Staff is plentiful, and very friendly with help you around the park.

If you grew up going to Boomers or other fun parks with your family - Castle Park will bring back awesome memories. I remember other parks feeling a bit cheesy but CP has done a great job of keeping it very clean and still great for kids. The arcade has a ton of great games & FOUR 18 hole mini golf courses. The theme park wasn't open but this is a great spot for a date, hanging out with friends or treating the family. Staff was very friendly.

It had been years since I had been here so when my nephew and gran nieces came for a visit I thought it might be fun. I purchased the Mini golf and Arcade plus $15.00 parking online on July 20th. We arrived at 11:00 am at the gate on Diana Street as the sign said to do. It was locked. We called and were told to go to the parking lot on Polk which we did. There was no charge for parking at that lot. Since I had paid for parking, I wanted a refund. The employee was very polite and suggested that the parking could be used another time until the end of the year. I explained my guests were from out of town so we wouldn't be using it. He said I would have to ask for that online. When I arrived home, I sent an email explaining the situation, gave them the Ticket# and the Confirmation # along with all my contact information. Today is August 7th and still no reply. As to the experience while there...the mini golf is terribly run down, no shade or benches to sit and wait your turn. We left the course after the 8th hole. Now to the Arcade. The website advertises the Mini Golf and Arcade as a package. Don't be fooled. You have to buy cards to use the Arcade. That clearly is false advertising. I am fortunate enough to be able to treat my nephew and 3 gran nieces to the Arcade at the last minute. But what about the families who purchase the "so called package" and then are surprised at the added expense. Shame on Castle Park! Maybe a positive note....I just read in the paper yesterday that Castle Park is being sold to Lucky Strike Entertainment. Maybe they will bring it back to life!

We came here last Sunday evening to go mini golfing about two hours before they closed. The golf courses were interesting, because one had no hole in one and almost tricked you by placing the ball into the most difficult parts of the course. It was pretty crowded, but we managed. The golf courses are well maintained. The workers gave us extra golf balls in case we lost ours and we needed them. There wasn't even warning when they closed, so when we returned they were closed, I couldn't use the bathroom or get to my car. It was inconvenient. Also, the parking is ridiculous, $15 to park there. It's not Disneyland.

My and my family of 6 had a great time, I love that my little 1 year old could ride rides here with us. He was so amazed. There were no lines, so we could ride the rides a bunch of times. Service was ok, they're mostly teens. Water park was ok, the little slide was closed off for some reason, and I thought there was a little pool but there isn't just slides and splash areas, hardly any areas with shade so bring an umbrella. They give so much fried Oreos for the price, otherwise the other food is basic. We had a great time.

During a school trip, my son encountered difficulties redeeming arcade credits purchased via a prepaid card. The machine repeatedly malfunctioned, resulting in the depletion of his funds without receiving the intended credits. Despite attempts to locate an employee for assistance, none were available in the immediate vicinity. Thank you Castle Park for stealing from an innocent child who was trying to have fun with his classmates.

I kind of love Castle Park?? We took advantage of the excellent offer of 4 tickets for $20 each (and kids under a certain age free!) and visited on a Thursday night. It was so nice to wander around an uncrowded, laidback amusement park with plenty of options for both my toddler and my 11-year-old. The frozen margaritas? Yes. The food? Actually kind of great -- especially the bbq. I wish we lived closer to Riverside because we'd be back all the time.

Royal letdown! We came, we saw... we left disappointed and mildly sunburned. Castle Park might seem like a fun, budget-friendly amusement park -- and sure, it's not terribly expensive -- but even at a lower price point, you should at least get what you pay for. Instead, we showed up to find their two best rides completely shut down. Not "check back in an hour" shut down -- we're talking "boarded up like they've been out since the Dark Ages." What was open felt like it had been rescued from the bottom of a garage sale pile. The rest of the park looked tired, worn out, and one step away from being taken over by weeds. If Disneyland is the castle of dreams, this was more like the castle of "meh." And just when we thought we'd seen it all, they tried to pawn off "mystery bags" for $10 -- ooh, exciting, right? Wrong. These mystery bags were filled with the kind of sad, off-brand candy you find at the bottom of a Halloween bucket in February. I'm 90% sure I saw a melted taffy stuck to a used sticker. Castle Park, do better. You've got charm hiding under all that cobweb and disappointment, but right now? It's not worth the trip -- or the ten bucks for mystery candy that probably came from 1998. If you enjoy paying to wander aimlessly through closed attractions, snack on sadness, and question your choices -- Castle Park is your spot! Otherwise, save your money and go do literally anything else.

This park is really AWESOME! I went on all rides but fireball and UFO since I hate rides like those. Every ride was enjoyable and a bit scary depending on which one it was. However here are the bad things. Some rides were closed for maintenance and the park was a bit overpriced. So if you're planning to go here make sure to try all the rides since they are so much fun and be sure to bring extra money!

We love Castle Park. The park is clean and super cute. I first came 21 years ago and now I get to bring my 6 year who just loves it. The only reason its not 5 stars is because how rude most of the workers are, they don't smile and seem miserable to even be there. Whoever the train operator was on Friday, is the sweetest person there, he makes my daughter laugh everything we see him. I wish they were all like him. The park itself it great.

Came here today for my son's end of the year field trip. There were other schools there and it was packed with mostly 5th graders graduating, but we have a little one in kinder. A few things we noticed: there's trash thrown everywhere, not enough trash cans I guess. Rides take a long time to get started, and almost all of the little kid rides were closed even though there were employees around. There were sometimes 2 employees at one ride but they had no intention of opening the smaller rides which is basically all we went for. We paid like $50 something bucks for the field trip with free parking, it's all cashless. It was unlimited mini golf but with so many kids it was hard to play without feeling super rushed. The outdoor games start at $10, we played one game and got a plastic blow up sword for $15. The train ride isn't even scenic, unless you count the view of the freeway lol. There's also a poor lonely peacock that's sulking around trying to get away from the kids trying to pull his tail. Idk why a live animal is kept here at all but the poor thing looks unhappy. The workers we encountered weren't super friendly, I guess castle park is kind of what you'd expect, but it was sooo disappointing that most of the little rides were closed, especially when someone was standing nearby? Definitely not worth the visit if your kids are younger, maybe if you catch them on a day they actually operate the rides smh. Also you're not allowed to bring outside snacks in, just heads up.

I went to Castle Dark tonight for the first time. I must say that while it's a favorite of locals, the experience for me left a lot to be desire as a haunt fan. I'll provide a brief review of each of the mazes for the 2024 year with the exception of the VR attraction. Labyrith: I was aware that I was about to enter a maze but I didnt expect it to be a literal one. I walked around several minutes and forth not knowing what the final room was until I just decide to leave the maze altogether. A few monsters roam throughout the halls but nothing that made me feel like I was being chased or hunted down. Funhouse of the Demented: It's this year's clown maze for Castle Dark with clowns coming on the attack. It wasnt a memorable one despite this gimmick as there's a lot of dark hallways and those rooms are sparsely decorated with props. Even then none of the rooms stood out as it felt as if I was just rushing through the obstacles. Seance: Out of all the maze, this one at-least did something unique that I can give credit. Before entering, I was given a candle and entered a room to see different artifacts that appeared "cursed". Before I was even given a chance to explore this room, I was lead to the seance and then the chase began. It was a maze that has more heart to it but it struggled still with black walls,narrow corridors and Sections with nothing happening. The maze also has the strangest climax being that it ended at a gift shop,which is not themed to the maze, that sells light-up glowing wearable. As for the scare actors, they give a good performance despite what they are given with including the sliders that appeared pulled right from Knotts. Whether in the maze or out In the scoreline, they make the scares work being as creative as they can with their equipment. I only did two rides, the antique cars and the train, but didn't do any shows. The fact that I did all of the mazes in less than 30 minutes may seem good but when there's not much halloween exclusive things to do at the park , then it feels as if the money could have been spent elsewhere for a better payoff. I am aware that this is major haunt in Southern California due to its long history. Yet it felt more like a home backyard haunt than something made for an amusement park. Unless Casle Park decides to hire creative directors,increase the investment to even include a facade in front of the mazes, and add more exclusive halloween haunt experiences, this looks to be my first and last visit to Castle Dark.

10/10 would recommend for a great small distraction from your daily life,great value for your buck and the lines are pretty speedy.

Castle Park always has great deals. Been here a lot with my family! Staff members are kind and helpful. Def recommend purchasing season passes, they come with a lot of different perks. Lines are never long. Cove area is pretty cool for the young kids(highly recommend renting a cabana, its just convenient)

Evelyn is the nicest operator in the whole park she gives off really great energy :) Very outstanding performance!

My review is actually about Castle Dark, and this was my first time there. I drove for LA about an hour and to be honest it wasn't worth the drive for us. I do appreciate all the effort the scare actors put in so bravo to them, but I feel like it was kind of a half-assed event. We went to 2 mazes (I thinks that's all there was? Maybe the others were just shows? ) and the first maze was really good , the one by the arcade was pretty boring but I did appreciate how they separated people by their groups so they get all the scares in (though that might've made the lines a bit longer on the wait times but nothing crazy). We went on a Sunday so the event was only 7-10 so not much time to do to much. We went to the mazes, tried to do some mini golf, go our tasting treat snack package and 1 ride. So unfortunately we could not get to see any of the shows or do any arcade stuff or other rides. The treat tasting card was a good value but to be honest was not very good food. We had the fried pbj (which we could only do one bite of) the voodoo fries might've been good if the workers hadn't forgotten about making it of something (two other people order after us and they got their food pretty fast and before us and though there were multiple employees around talking, when the food finally came the chicken was cold and pretty hard). Also got the mango slushie and it was soooo overly sugary I took a sip and just threw the rest away. If you go though just pay for the parking ahead of time. I don't know if Castle PARK is better, or if I would've had a better experience if I lived nearby and had an annual pass but for me it was not worth it. The idea of it all seemed great but the execution was just not well thought out. Once again shout out to all the scare actors though!

If you're expecting Disneyland, or even Knott's, this is not it...and that's ok. This review is strictly about the amusement park portion of this Riverside everything to everyone arcade/mini golf behemoth. The attraction: a couple dozen rides it seems , most requiring at least 48 inches in height to ride or ride alone but enough there for littler ones too Games, water park (included in the price of admission but we didn't participate), and even live shows (kids enjoyed the Dance party at the Big Top) The food: what you would normally expect at a place like this. Funnel cake, burgers, pizza, etc. Took advantage of the free food with purchase of 4 tix, pretty good deal. Food was actually ok They have beer tho! Staff: Nice enough...mix between middle aged men questioning all their life decisions and college/high school kids at their summer jobs. They are visible and present which is most important. Vibe: went on a Saturday late afternoon (too hot to go earlier) and it was chill. Family friendly and very mix crowd where foreign tourists are in line next to "Kicker" and his homies next to Jim and Michelle from Irvine next to a single mom with her 8 kids :) Overall, yes it's more county fair than Disneyland but the amount of fun/dollar ratio is great Recommend and will be back again!

Bought year pass for myself and granddaughter. Rides are old and don't work all the time. Log ride didn't work due to conveyer belt breaking with riders on it. (scary). Very run down. It reminds me of a low class carnival. Lifeguards at water Park non attentive. Golf course run down filled with weeds. Tree roots lifting asphalt. Very sad. Save your money. Not worth it. Scary at night. Alot of very young kids at night and rude. DON'T GO,!!! Big top dirty inside. No shows.

have been coming for years just for mini golf it's still as fun as I remembered the only problem that's still remains is the bathrooms not being cleaned they have been a issue for years I'm surprised it has still continued. It's not just your usual amusement park dirty I mean haven't been cleaned in months they smell and the toilets look yellow the sinks are bad I think that all custodians do is take the trash out and fill the soap but everything else nope!

My 6-year old son loved it here!!! We came for the mini golf. The pricing is pretty confusing. I think you can just pay for mini golf, but that wasn't clear to me. The bronze pass is the same price as a 1-day admission, so that's what we got. It includes all 3 mini golf courses and all the rides. It took a long time to get the passes at the guest services desk after we got into the park. Security was typical--bag check and metal detectors. The place is clean, but all the attractions are pretty run down, & the mini golf courses look pretty rough. It could definitely use some TLC and updating. However, it didn't take away from the fun for us. We will definitely be back in order to use our passes and only pay for parking next time. Beware that carnival games & the arcade are additional costs. We didn't eat or drink here today, but likely overpriced carnival food as stated in other reviews.

Plan your trip ahead, save some money and buy online. This place is well maintained and probably will be here for some time yet! I'd avoid the mini golf course in the afternoon in a summer day though.

If you want people to come to the park allow cash not everyone has card to buy a damn soda I gave y'all 6 bucks for it and everything and that old bitch didn't give me it even after she poured it "card only" I had the right amount and everything.

Mitchell at the water park is absolutely pronominal. He keeps his line in check and is so very helpful with the small children. 10/10 my friend!!!

The employees are incredibly slow. They go at a snail's pace when it comes to getting people on rides and serving food. The bathrooms are also not clean. It is incredibly disappointing everytime I go.

The service is bad. They banned me in my friends from a ride called Merlin's revenge because we were singing and they also made me and my friends throw up. We were going on a ride that would make you spin and they made it faster than normal because we told them not to and so me and my friends threw a horrible service.

5 stars strictly for Jose in the arcade!!! I'm here now and while playing a game where you throw balls at the clown, my ring slipped off my finger and went inside the game. Frantic I went to the prize counter and asked Jose for help. He went over and beyond and opened up the game and crawled in to find my ring. Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!
