Google
Cincinnati area staple. I went to parties here as a kid, now my kids are starting to do the same. Place has been maintained well. Small skate shop inside. Also a small arcade focused on ticket games. You will encounter all different levels of skaters.

Love the theme! Good music, clean facilities, and great lighting! Perfect for a random day with the kids or planning parties. I'm obsessed with the dragon paintings on the wall!

Took my daughter to Castle for the first time in years last night and they haven't changed a bit. Still an awesome rink!! Prices are comparable. Relatively clean. Nice floors. Staff is helpful and polite. Music was on point. Skaters were skilled and courteous. Wish we lived closer because this would be our destination skating rink for sure.

We brought a group of teens here and it was great. They had a nice deal for skating and pizza + pop for $10 a person for the whole night. The facility was clean especially for a skating rink. The design of the place was very fun. Looking like and actual Castle. Plenty of activities to do as well.

What a great time and experience! Haven't skated in YEARS but wanted my 12 y/o grandson to enjoy an evening with his Ma-maw. We really had fun! There's something for everyone; games, tickets, prizes, food and drinks for purchase, a party room to rent, plenty of seating all around and of course, skating! Prices reasonable for entry and skate rental. We both were very awkward but got better during the evening. I thought at 59 y/o I would be the oldest one there but I wasn't! How cool to see older folks enjoying an activity along with all ages! Staff were really nice, as well as the other patrons there. No one made fun of our lack of ability or for my being a large person. In fact, I got great comments for "getting out there!" If you love or used to love skating, give this place a whirl, you won't regret it!

Went to the Loveland Castle by day and the Skateland Castle by night 🧡 By far the biggest skate floor I have ever seen! Add the dj, lighting and atmosphere and it gave my girls an amazing way to end our day. I wish the place wasn't so far from home!

Google
Love this place. Used to come here about 12 years ago with our oldest. Even had her birthday party here. Skating is such a great family activity that doesn't depend on the weather. We love this location for how big, clean, and well run it is. Plenty of places to set your stuff down, good condition skates to rent. Also purchased skates from them years ago. Great experience overall!

Yelp
You cant skate backwards so if that's something you enjoy doing go to beechmont or something.

Yelp
A classic rink to take your family and race around the rink! The pricing is always cheap, and the music is always on point. Looking for an idea to host your kids next birthday event go check them out!

Yelp
I've been bringing my kids here for six or seven years. It instantly takes me back to my own childhood; it is always the 1980s at Castle Skateland! Music playing, DJ doing all the classic skate rink things (Hokey-Pokey, couples skate, etc); it just feels good to be here. Building and infrastructure is a little dated, but it would be a little strange if it wasn't. I have two complaints; first is their hours; not open until 1pm on Saturday and only open 1:30-4pm on Sunday. Second, this is a place where I've been a captive parent many times. I really, REALLY wish this place had open WiFi. I usually set-up a hotspot off my phone, and it never works very well here. In addition to skating, they have a snack bar with what you'd expect, such as not great pizza and soft pretzels (although I would recommend trying their giant pickle!). They also have games and a party room. Prices here are quite reasonable; I think skating and skate rental comes to $7. Snack bar and games are similarly reasonable.

Yelp
The customer service sucks absolutely rude to all the black people , told my 4 year old sister she needed to hurry up because they were closing but by the time we were leaving out of course they had no problem with helping the kids with no color . and then it was a party right next door to us and the workers groaned and said " ugh they're only doing cake". their energy sucks and how they treated us wasn't appropriate at all. my mother requested a song 5 time we paid 300 for her party for her to not get her song she wanted .

Yelp
Been coming here for about a month now every week for Wednesday skate night with my family. Classic old-school skating rink that puts you in a different decade. The building is in the shape of a castle, lots of parking along the side with overflow in the back. They're only open at certain times during the week, including late night skating or holiday skating. Wednesday's are from 630-830p, entry is $3 plus $2 for skate rental. There's a concession stand and pro shop, with arcade games and party rooms for rent. They only play music from before 2000, which keeps that retro feeling. There are a lot of regulars and a lot of skilled skaters here!

Lyndsey M.

Yelp
They wouldn't let my son that has a disability in the building unless he purchased skates. When I called to ask about the policy the woman said she was too busy to sit on the phone. This is repulsive and such an unpleasant experience.

Yelp
Castle Skateland is a well known landmark for those who grew up in the area. Those who came here as kids, now bring their own kids for skating fun. The outside really looks like a stone castle. And honestly the place hasn't changed much. The inside has a large rink, two party rooms, several arcade games and an upper and lower cafe area. They serve the typical nachos, pizza and drinks. Enough to keep hungry kids going. The place could use an update, especially the bathrooms! The sink and mirror are still on the OUTSIDE of the bathroom in the main skating area....it's just weird. The carpet is really old as well. But, hey we go to skate to some great tunes in glow lighting and for some cheap family fun, this place is great.

Yelp
March 1st 2019 This complaint in regards to the (female Caucasian) owner of Castle skate's Lois Dixon. My son who is a kindergarten was there today first time visit with his school on field trip. When I arrived I seen my son (who doesn't know how to skate) along with other kids falling on the skating rink. I was frustrated and on level 10 because they have "Skate Mates" for rental priced at $5. I told the owner lady it was inappropriate and a potential "liability" for my son and other kids who don't know how to skate to be out there falling when they should be on "Skate Mates", so I want to rent a "Skate Mate" for my son. The owner lady said "No!", she will not let me rent one for my son unless I rent all the "Skate Mates" for all the other kids also!, then she (owner) proceed to tell me"You shouldn't be here anyway". The conversation went completely left especially after I was insulted for being a parent, not to mention a parent chaperone on my son's field trip. Needless to say my son's first skating experience was ruined because he spent the entire 2 hours falling due to him not being able to rent a "Skate Mate". That owner was very rude, unprofessional, and very discriminatory towards me as a concerned parent and a patron. If my child would have been hurt due to her bigotry behavior she would be answering to a higher level of authority.

Yelp
Nasty nasty nasty nasty. I have never been to a dirtier skate place in my life. Gum covered the bottoms of the tables, carpet was so gross and stained all over, boogers all over the bathroom walls. My kids were FILTHY from touching the walls, arcade games, and tables.. their hands were BLACK! Food prices are worst than concert prices! The concept was nice, I like how they have the no wall entry, but that's it. Need to go home and shower!

Layden H.

Yelp
The dj sucks like he's really bad he plays the dumbest songs and some don't even sound like songs

Yelp
Brandon went above and beyond to make sure to make my little girl's birthday party went off without a hitch. Thanks for the slashes, buddy!

Yelp
Castle Skateland in Loveland is always a fun place to go if you like to skate, or just want to have a good time. "The #1 place to Rollerskate--on the largest skate floor--in the Tri-State," according to its website, Castle Skateland is indeed the best place around. Surprise, surprise, it looks like a castle from the outside, and they even keep the act going in the main lobby with some standing men of armor. Once inside, however, the castle theme seems to stop, but it's just where the fun begins. Castle Skateland is great for birthday parties and other group events. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evening, and Sunday it is actually open for private parties only, while throughout each month there are "Family Nights" and other special events. The skating is fun, as there is a large skate floor, lots of great music (make your own requests to the DJ), and the necessary cool lighting. Every hour or so, be ready for everyone's favorite, The Chicken Dance, at the center of the floor. Watch out, however, for the regulars who like to show off by skating backwards, and also make the less experienced nervous when they zoom right by, nearly cutting you off. If you don't have skates of your own, you can rent a regular pair for $1.75 or a low cut pair for $3.50, but I recommend bringing your own rollerblades unless you want to look like you're still living in the 80s. There is also a mini arcade and of course a place to exchange winning tickets for prizes, a snack bar, and even some pool tables on the second floor. If you grew up in Cincinnati, odds are you've been to Castle Skateland and had lots of fun. Even if you are no longer at that birthday party age, Castle Skateland is still just as fun.

Yelp
No accessible parking and no Coca-Cola products. That costs them 2 stars right there. The food selection isn't that great either. If, however, you've come to skate or let your little ones burn energy then it's not all that bad--except, for some reason, there's no accessible parking.

Yelp
What could be better than skating to all your 90's dance favorites inside a faux castle? My friends and I have always had a blast coming to Castle Skateland and making fools of ourselves. The rink is a great size and is easy to make the rounds and is very open on every side. Birthday parties are always happening here and the music is usually cheesy, but still fun. They always play the requisite Chicken Dance and sometimes they play some weird skating games. The snack bar has all kinds of great food, although no food is really that good when you're on skates. If you are interested in making a fool of yourself, and miss being in middle school, hit up Castle Skateland.

Yelp
I hate this place. It is old and smells like sweat. The bathrooms are disgusting. They always have poop in them. Also it now costs $5 to rent a bar for the little ones to skate with. Old arcade games and cheap toys to win. Half of them also broken. Dank party rooms with Old gross carpet and drop ceilings. Pro shop from 1976. Food also from 1976. Stale and gross.

Yelp
Miss this place... i was a transfer from harps...met so many great people skating here as a kid that im still friends with today. I need to lace up some skates soon

Melissa D.

Yelp
Castle Skateland is stupid! I was not allowed to skate today because I am wearing a baseball cap (never mind my glasses, scarf or dangling earrings). The reason because it MIGHT fall off and someone MIGHT trip over it. Not like I'm a 41 year old woman, who is quite capable of remaining dressed and if you could see the indention my hat always makes in my head, you'd be sure it's NOT EVER COMING OFF MY HEAD, because my hair looks horrible. Again, Castle Skateland is stupid! What ever happened that caused you to make that rule. You might want to rethink it. Or limit it to kids. What next baggy pants, long shoelaces, glasses, dangling earrings. It's a skating rink, people fall and trip.

Yelp
Worst customer service I have ever experienced, would not recommend, and I have been going ever since I was a little girl--never going back again. The service was always not the best to begin with, but over the years it degraded drastically. Today, a middle aged woman with brown hair and her parents who seemed to be running the check-in register were extraordinarily rude. I walked in and smiled at her and she stared back at me with a horrible sneer. After seeing my little sister and I at the snack area, she grudgingly made her way to our area. When ordering our food I would use "please" and "thank you" and not once did she smile, say you're welcome, or even make the slightest bit of eye contact. After giving us our food, she quickly ran off before I could ask for another cup. She saw me motioning from afar and stopped in the middle of the building to continue our conversation rather than walking over to her job to assist her customer. I tried telling her I would like an extra small cup to split my slushy with my little sister because I remembered they did it for us last time when my dad asked for an extra cup, and she yelled "we don't give free extra cups!! You have to buy another drink!!" And so I had to eat whatever I could out of my flat plastic lid and gave my sister the drink.
