Castlebank Hotel

Castlebank Hotel is an old building that has been beautifully refurbished in a lovely style. Our room (5) was immaculate, large, light and airy and nicely furnished, with views over Conwy. The bed was very comfortable and the area quiet so we slept well, and the facilities were excellent. The guest lounge is very comfortable with books, magazines and games available as well as a bar, and a separate breakfast room. The breakfasts were delicious, made with quality products. Jo and Henrique were perfect hosts and lovely people. Extremely good value for money. Our stay was just perfect.

If you are driving they have free parking right in front of the hotel in an area off the street. Only a 5 minute walk to the inside old town. Much easier than trying to navigate and park inside the old town area. We liked it a lot and the breakfast was great, having fresh fruit each morning was a plus. One of the best places we stayed during our 2 week vacation in Wales.

What a fantastic stay! Hosts were brilliant from the start. Henrique showed us around and made us feel welcome. The breakfasts were delicious on both days, with plenty of options. Could not recommend this place more for an enjoyable stay in Conwy. Definitely a place to return to!

What a fantastic hotel! Henrique is a delightful host, he couldn't do enough for my mum and I and he made our stay so much more enjoyable with his banter and friendly conversation. ||The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and served efficiently. There is plenty of parking and we found there was no need to move the car once we got there. Everything in Conwy is within walking distance. Perfect!||We only stayed for two nights and would have loved to stay for longer. I have no doubt we will return at some point.

Brilliant find here in town. Free car parking on site and just a 2 minute walk into the centre of town. I noticed all the good reviews but having stayed there myself i completely understand. Yes its an old building but they have worked hard and the inside is extremely clean. Room was good although bathroom was small but perfectly ok for a couple of nights. Breakfast was probably too much! everything cooked well and plenty of choices. Iron and board in my room together with kettle tea/coffee etc. Box of tissues, hair dryer, sofa all make that little difference, highly recommended and thanks go the the 2 owners.

The Castlebank was a lovely choice for our 2 nights in Conwy. Jo and Henrique were charming and very attentive hosts - any question or request was no trouble at all. Their recommendations were welcome and right on. The room was lovely and spotless with all of the necessities supplied. The location was excellent - out of the main tourist confusion but only steps away on the other side of the town wall. We couldn't have asked for more.

The hotel is in a great location adjacent to the Conwy castle walls. It has free private parking for guests which is very useful. The welcome is very friendly and the hosts are knowledgeable about the town and surrounding area. There was a wide choice of items for breakfast including full cooked option. Relaxing lounge and bar. Try to book a room with a view as the castle walls and comwy estuary make a great backdrop.

The hotel is warm and comfortable, though a bit antique -- e.g., the shower is tiny but quite functional, and the sink separate from the bathroom can take a while for the water to get hot. |The breakfast was very nice and healthy. |But what really blew us away and gets the place a stellar rating is the two owners, Jo and Henrique. They are warm, friendly, and exceptionally helpful. Henrique gave us excellent recommendations for places to visit that we would not have thought of on our own or from travel books (and at least one place best avoided). Most importantly, he went far beyond anything we would have expected to help us with a problem that was completely unrelated to the hotel.|This is a lovely place with very lovely proprietors.

What a gem of a B&B. Beautiful comfy rooms and quite nice breakfast and bar area. Location was just perfect just outside the walls. Parking onsite. Henri the proprietor was the best. Showed us to the room and showed us how everything worked, which we had struggled with at other places this trip. Poured us drinks in the evening and chatted with us, offering info and conversation to pass a pleasant evening. Could not think of a single thing that could have been better. Our stay at Castlebank was the highlight of our trip.

The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that the bed could be a bit more comfortable. A little on the hard side. Too bad I can't do 4 and a half stars. Otherwise...breakfast 5 stars...excellent and generous. The WiFi is great. The room is sweet and the view is wonderful of the town and castle. Parking...Yes! Plus there is a large selection of books about Wales in the comfortable salon and a free library for trading books if you find you need a new book to read. Henrique and Jo are wonderful. So easy to communicate with regarding reservations and attentive.

I couldn't have been any more pleased with the amenities of the hotel and the helpfulness and kindness from the owners Henrick and Jo. Great WiFi. Excellent breakfast. Clean, spacious and comfortable room. Fantastic views of the castle and town from the rooms. I felt very welcomed here and would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
