Although this hotel is a basic accommodations, it doesn’t mean it isn’t a good place to stay. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the rooms are clean and the bed was very comfortable. Right in the center of old town Bilbao, you couldn’t ask for a better location. Parking is available through the hotel at a lot nearby.

Clean basic rooms in a very central location with incredibly helpful staff. There is also a small kitchenette with a fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and a vending machine. We stayed in the four bed family room which was massive and had plenty of room for us all. They also helped us book discounted parking at the train station which is about a 10 minute walk away from the hotel. The room was very quiet at night with not noise from other rooms or from the streets outside

We were greeted by Patricia who was very helpful as we had our dog with us, she was very pleasant and informative and was willing to spend time for us. Check out was a totally different experience the lady Sara who was on reception was quite abrupt and unpleasant she greeted with a frown and negative body language and went on to tell us we had to pay an additional 10 euros for the dog staying there .We had told the hotel we had a dog with us and we were not informed about the additional cost at that time.We were only staying 1 night and then onto the ferry terminal at Bilbao. Check out left a sour taste and we would not be returning.

The place was just perfect for what I was looking for. The best thing is the location. Super central and plenty of bars and restaurants around. My room had everything I needed. The staff is kind and friendly and professional. Decent price for 3 nights and in my opinion Bilbao is a gem! I would definitely recommend it.

This is more like a hostel than the hotel. Rooms are very very hot without air conditioning and very noisy. You can hear everything from the nearby rooms. But location was great. In the old part of the town near the cathedral.

Nice, clean place to stay in the Casco Viejo (the old town), a stone's (maybe two stones') throw from the river. Friendly & helpful staff. Good Wi-Fi. Not a huge room and not a lot of amenities, but I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just a place to rest my head before/after heading off to the Guggenheim. On the third floor, with an elevator. Nice & a little touristy neighborhood.

We had a very pleasant stay!!! The rooms were clean and the beds were made every day and the towrls were changed regularly (though this wasn't necessary for us). We especially enjoyed the presence of one of the receptionists who sent us her friendly smile every day and apparently loved her job!

Lovely small hotel right next to the cathedral in old town Bilbao. Very very helpful staff who helped us with our bikes and could not have been more accommodating. Great location for exploring Bilbao and also close to the main train station. Highly recommended

Yelp
Speaking of bad hotel rooms, this place takes the cake. Listed as a 2* hotel, this establishment is really smelly little hostel. Some of the rooms have private bathrooms, but they are utilitarian at best. There is minimal signage in the building, the rooms are located on the 3rd floor. We didn't stay long. One quick look at the room, the odor was overwhelming. The windows offer no relief from the heat, they are screwed shut. They do bring in a wet dog aroma from the dirty Astro turf on the enclosed balconette. There is no Air Conditioning. There also was not an attendant at the desk when we walked back out. Just a little sign saying when the desk staff would be back. They share staffing with another location. (Something I do not believe is allowed in 2* lodging BTW). I wouldn't stay here on a bet. F- and $170 wasted. I was rather surprised given that I understand this is a recommended stay by the Rick Steves team.

Yelp
Staying right in the middle of Bilbao's Casco Viejo is great. Food, drinks, small businesses and interesting sightseeing is all within a few minutes walk. Large rooms with giant bathrooms. Really small towels. Beds were soft, but we endured. Really low price for a quiet, efficient place. Multiple keys for the security of the room was a total nuisance. Special codes for the front door were not explained clearly and we ended up locked out of the building. Parking is at the train station (long walk uphill) and really is inconvenient. Limited access to the hotel as the streets do not allow cars for about 20 hours per day. Communication skills of the staff was marginal. Lots of young folks with only a few with knowledge. Really a hostel with private baths.

Yelp
Seeing as though we survived off their vending machine the first night, not realizing things would close SUPER early around the holidays, it's almost enough to warrant the four stars on its own. But snacks aside (though olives and strange waffles? I like your eccentricity hostel humans.) this is a fairly decent option for a budget hostel. IMPORTANT POINT - I said: BUDGET hostel. Definitely don't book here hoping for anything grand. The space is very very basic and when we arrived, in the midst of repair, so a bit hectic. The room was plain: two simple beds, a desk, a safe and a shower that worked. There are no bells and whistles - it's very much like staying in a dorm room. BUT it was clean, the folks who work there are lovely, they had a little common space to make tea, etc and we were able to book a private room with a private bathroom for under £40 a night. So if you're looking to explore Bilbao on a dime, this place is safe, centrally located and has weirdly wonderful waffles in their vending machine.
