Cat Ba Eco Lodge

We had the most amazing stay at the lodge! It was our favourite place we’ve stayed at through our whole trip in Vietnam. The lodge is in beautiful quiet nature which is so peaceful. The staff are incredibly helpful with everything - booking scooters, buses for next destination. They treated us like family with a delicious dinner and we had such a great time getting to share stories over a meal. Extremely grateful for having stumbled upon this gem of a place full of the most wonderful people.

Place doesn't really look like the website. It's a little bit run down and tired. But it's clean and tidy (except for the clump of hair in the shower). It's more of a youth hostel vibe. But the food and service is pretty good and the staff are friendly and helpful. Don't believe previous post. There is a functioning pool which looks pretty good ( we didn't get around to using it). .

This is one the nicest place I've stayed at in south east asia so far. The people are kind, warm, helpful and welcoming. The room was charming and the views breathtakingly beautiful. Located slightly outside of the busy loud town, this place is a true oasis of nature and tranquility. The amenities on site, the swimming pool and the pool table, were really great to have. Bikes can be rented and if you don't like riding scooters they will help you get a car into town or book a tour of the national park for you directly. I can only recommend people to stay here. I know I will definitely be coming back next time I am in Cat Ba.

Nice lodge with great staff. We were only able to stay one night, but it would be great for several nights. Food is good. Free wifi throughout. They have a pool, pool table, games, and other social things to do. Definitely recommend for a change of pace.

Amazing and wild place, it is a perfect place if you want to connect with nature and the authenticity that Cat ba offers. The staff's attention have been fantastic, they are very kind and friendly, nice people. They help you so you can enjoy all the activities you can do on the island.

The perfect place for a quieter experience of Cat Ba. I loved my chalet in the jungle overlooking the lake. It’s simple but feels a bit more authentic and the staff were wonderful. They picked me up from the bus on the back of a bike and I was lucky enough to be there for a family dinner, which was a highlight.

Quietly situated in a beautiful valley you may enjoy nature and rest and still be in the hectic of Cat Ba by available scooters in no time. Very pleasant service who go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. Enjoy the eco-pool and basic but fine huts with a good shower and perfect view.

We had an amazing experience during our stay at the Catba Eco Lodge. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed to a beautiful property, where friendly dogs greeted us with excitement. We were offered a welcome drink, and the staff took the time to chat with us and explain all the activities and options available. After spending five busy days in Hanoi, this was the perfect place to unwind. The people were incredibly kind and helpful, and their openness to have friendly conversations created a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious and extensive, and the lunch and dinner menus offered a wide variety of tasty options. Renting a scooter for the day is highly recommended if you want to explore the island at your own pace. The staff was also happy to help us book fun day trips. In the evenings, when the mood was right, a large fire would be lit, creating a cozy spot to enjoy a beer and chat with other guests. We loved it so much that we decided to stay an extra night. Although there is a lot of construction happening on the island at the moment, you wouldn’t notice any of it while staying at the lodge. If you’re looking to experience peace and nature, this place is an absolute must. It’s a tranquil oasis with a wonderful atmosphere, great food, and outstanding service.
