19 Amazing Restaurants from My Road Trip Across the U.S.

"This is the best breakfast place in Missoula in my experience: huge portions at incredible prices ($7–10 for a main), each meal is really two (you’ll have leftovers), they offer a wide range of hot sauces, and you have to eat here if you’re in town — get the Heap or the Breakfast Burrito." - Matthew Kepnes

Stopped in here on a whim looking for a breakfast bite. The staff was so kind and welcoming, they explained their offerings and that it’s take-out only. I’m from out of town, but really wish I had something like this at home. They have freshly-made meals, snacks and yummy things. The breakfast biscuit sandwhich I ordered was no exaggeration, out of this world delicious. And also huge. You can definitely split it between two people.

The staff here are incredibly welcoming and the food is always so good. I come here for lunch quite often but only recently tried the chicken larb salad…AMAZING! So much flavor! I love this little spot!

I stopped by Catalyst2go and tried their make-your-own nacho bar — absolutely fantastic! Everything was fresh and flavorful, and you can make it as small or as big as you want, so it’s easy to create the perfect portion. It’s strictly grab-and-go (no seating), and I love that their offerings change daily — there’s always something new to try. Don’t skip their house-made baked goods either; they’re just as good as the savory options. Great food at a great price, with super-friendly staff.

Amazing grab and go shop. Variety of hot ready made breakfast burritos. Full salad bar, beautiful. Wide selection of cold grab and go sandwiches and snacks. Some of the best espresso drinks, the mocha with local oat milk was the surprise hit.

Prices were reasonable Quality of food was outstanding Selection of vegan / gluten free options was second to none The workers were friendly, helpful, and informative. Offers ready-to-go and fresh made options. We were looking for a breakfast option and catalyst offered freshly made breakfast sandwiches with bread from a local Gluten-free bakery. We will come back for lunch or snacks!

Can’t rave enough about the kind service here!!! Super friendly hostess and our waiter had great suggestions. The chilaquiles were great. My wife got the Heap, which was my favorite! The potatoes were crispy and well seasoned. Portions were veeeery generous so we took most of the food home to enjoy later! Came for marathon weekend over from Bozeman. Very nice breakfast for a post-race meal.

Wow I don’t know why I haven’t been in sooner to Catalyst2GO! I just found my new favorite lunch spot! Not only was I warmly greeted when I first walked in, they gave me a little tour of the shop and I was so surprised to see all their offerings. A grab and go fridge, with tons of variety from Asian noodle salad to chicken Cesar wraps, a salad bar, soups, hot cart, nacho bar. I made myself some nachos, which I then added some fixings from the salad bar to make it bit healthier and I also got a little soup. So satisfied with my lunch and I was able to portion it exactly as I like since everything I bought was by the pound. I will be coming back!

A Missoula staple for many years, and tied with Burns St Bistro for best brunch in Missoula. The Heap is a long-time favorite, and consider it is TWO meals for the mortal. Breakfast burrito is also great but a little spicy. Coffee/Espresso is fantastic. Funky place with varied seating including now downstairs expansion. Indoor and Outdoor seating. Expect a wait on weekends and summer days.
