After seeing both sides of the park, we preferred the Argentina side because it felt more organized, with plenty of options for exploring, whether by train, shuttle, or on foot. The Brazil side had more of a touristy vibe, but they do offer more boat rides. The observatory deck is close to the falls, and the trails provide amazing views. There are also many cafes and restaurants on-site, and a hotel as well. It can get quite crowded, so be prepared for that. The park opens at 9 am. If you're into hiking or biking, they offer an 18km jungle trail, along with a shorter 3km round-trip trail that takes you to the river.

Our visit to Cataratas do Iguaçu last March was absolutely unforgettable. The falls are breathtaking—a true wonder of nature that everyone should experience at least once. The park is well-organized, with clear paths and viewpoints that provide incredible photo opportunities from multiple angles. We particularly appreciated the mix of accessibility and adventure, as the trails cater to all fitness levels. It was extremely hot for us Canadians so make sure to bring water, sunscreen and a hat. The roar of the falls, the lush greenery, and the mist in the air created an immersive experience that left us in awe. If you’re visiting South America, this is an absolute must-see destination. We highly recommend setting aside a full day to truly soak in the beauty and magic of Cataratas do Iguaçu. Then add another day to visit the Iguazu side too for a different perspective and experience of this magical place.

Iguaçu Falls is, without a doubt, the most breathtaking waterfall I’ve ever seen. Spanning the border of Brazil and Argentina, this natural wonder is a jaw-dropping spectacle of power and beauty. The sheer scale of the falls, with over 275 cascades surrounded by lush rainforest, is overwhelming. The panoramic views from the Brazilian side are stunning, offering a full perspective of the falls, while the Argentine side brings you closer to the roaring water. Walking along the trails and boardwalks, you feel the mist on your face and hear the thunderous roar—it’s an unforgettable, immersive experience. Every angle offers something extraordinary, from the famous Devil’s Throat to the smaller, graceful streams. The surrounding wildlife, including butterflies, toucans, and coatis, adds to the magic. Truly, Iguaçu Falls is a masterpiece of nature and an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves adventure and stunning landscapes.

Absolutely spectacular falls, one of the largest waterfall systems in the world. Very well organized and maintained national park, lots of buses to take a ride to different spots, snack booths and infinite places to take pictures. Do not miss the devils throat. No photograph will do justice to what you will see with your own eyes.

Great experience and impressed on how wide the waterfalls go. On the Cataratas trail you see the falls as soon as you step out of the bus (3rd stop coming from the visitor center). The only improvement I suggest is the sound system of the buses, we couldnt hear the name of the stops and there was no map. So perhaps to also display a map inside the buses. We decided to do the Cataratas walk first thing in the morning, at 9h and then the Macuco Safari. We didnt have much crowds and walked while taking stops here and there for photos. We also had 3 kids under 6 years old. We were able to do both in the morning and then walked to Parque das Aves for lunch and walk around.

The national park and its nature in general is AMAZING; I would prefer to see that the management company applies some sustainability values being this park home of an uncountable number of animals and naturalistic icons. For example, the busses that take you from the visitor center to the Cataratas are fueled with gasoline and smelly, would be great to have electric means of transportation inside the park. And also, at the Cataratas bus stop EVERY TURISTIC BUS leave the engine on the whole time...... Would also be great to sell tetrapak water bottle inside the park's cafes/shops, to avoid plastic a bit more.. Anyway the natural park is gorgeous and many trails are available for who wants to take a good walk♥️

Amazing!!! So much water! It was so beautiful. The trail was very well maintained and the stairs were nice and not steep. The walkway above the water was really nice and secure. Plenty of food and drink by the falls, and a nice giftshop right ay the bottom as well. Everything was very well priced. A nice elevator can take you back up to the bus stop after walking to the falls. Make sure to keep a look out for Coatis and monkeys or other wild animals walking around!
