Inside, the cathedral feels spacious and serene, with beautiful altars, stained glass windows that soften the light, and a strong sense of history that reflects centuries of religious and cultural significance. Beyond its role as a place of worship, the cathedral serves as a central gathering point surrounded by lively plazas, making it an excellent spot to appreciate both the architectural heritage and the everyday life of the city.

Awesome cathedral right next to the busy plaza a few other beautiful buildings. You can go inside for free or enjoy in from the outside. Reccomend highly also enjoying it in the evening when they light it up and the plaza with coloured lights.

Went on a Saturday morning. Inside amazing architecture and prolific art. Took pictures with local photographer vendor outside to catch professional photographs. He knew where to stand and get the best angles.

The church was absolutely beautiful and truly breathtaking. I celebrated New Year here and watched the fireworks, which were magnificent and unforgettable. The stunning architecture combined with the festive atmosphere made the experience feel magical and deeply meaningful. It was a wonderful place to welcome the New Year, and I would highly recommend visiting.

Still architecturally stunning despite fires, age and earthquakes the capitol's center of worship is a must-see from the detailed pulpit to crypts below. Home to the relics of St. Innocent, expect large crowds during times of worship.

Must see while visiting Guadalajara. Nice square beautiful church and lots of carriage rides around also tour buses leave from the square.

Nice church, i like that it wasnt ur normal keep quiet church but felt more lively and active

Stunning spot!! Check out the pictures! The way the light hit the altar was magical and spiritual. A must-stop if you are in the city, the architecture is stunning.

A beautiful cathedral right in the middle of Guadalajara, historic, we stayed for mass and it was truly a beautiful experience. We enjoyed our visit and will come back when we return to beautiful Guadalajara. There is a lot of history here and it's definitely worth visiting at least once . The people there were also very nice .

Marvelous history and a true gem! You can't visit GDL without paying a visit to the heart of the city. This cathedral has truly stood the test of time: Earthquakes, fires, and general wear and tear. A true testament to the heart and resilience of Tapatios!

This place is beautiful and majestic. It is hidden behind the business of the downtown traffic and activity. Once you get there it is a haven from the modern city just steps away. The cathedral itself was just amazing. There where kids running around in the plaza in front of the church blowing bubbles and having a great time. Young couples sharing ice cream, families, locals, and tourists enjoying the various restaurants, open spaces, and atmosphere. The cathedral inside was filled with beautiful small Chapels and we were able to see the bishops doing their daily prayers. This is a must see when in town.

The city's most famous landmark in the heart of downtown Guadalajara. Beautiful exterior day or night. Interior has many lifelike statues, if you get a chance visit the caverns/mausoleum. Nearest parking structure is behind the building below ground. Close to museums, city hall, plazas shopping, restaurants & other historical landmarks.
