Catedral de Morelia

On your next visit to Morelia, visit the imposing cathedral in the center of the city, well preserved and part of the colonial history of the old Valladolid. It is a beautiful postcard from the outside and at night you can watch the illumination of the church. It has a German pipe organ more than a century old and 4600 flutes. I recommend it!

The place is humongous and the architecture of the place is really worth the unesco accredition. No photo or video can do justice to this place. You have to see it in person to understand the magnificence of this place. You can also hire a guide who can give more details about the church to help you understand the history of the monument.

The Cathedral is an absolute piece of art, and monument of the city. Stunning both inside and out, with beautiful pink stone outside and beautifully decorated inside. As well, on a practical note it provides directions to where you are, great places to eat close by and a place of free entertainment in the plaza. From clowns doing skits, to traditional dance of the viejitos to live music. Depending on the season you are up for something special. Every Saturday it little up and provides a brief history of the city and a display of fireworks and lights which highly recommend if you happen to be there on Saturday.

Very beautiful city and very walkable. We had fun just passing through the area and stopping to walk around and see the sights and try some delicious food. The Cathedral was beautiful and there was service going on.

One of the most beautiful churches that I have seen. Mass is every hour on the hour, so full of history and the architecture of the building is beautiful. I felt as though I was in England. If in the area do stop by even if it's just for a moment. 5 well deserved stars
