Very cool.
And the Roman ruins were interesting.
The cathedral was closed for a funeral, but we got breakfast near by and went back later.

We didn’t go in, because it was about to close (it was thursday, around 1pm), but the entry was only 2€ and it looked like there was a pretty inside.
I recommended going around the cathedral, there’s many nice photo spots. 📸🌱

Surprisingly pleasant place to visit, and at €2 this is well worth a visit to get out of the heat (or in our case, the rain). The light and bright interior was a surprise given the fairly plain outside. Having been rebuilt in the 50s (an era not known for great architecture) this is appealingly understated. The cloisters are a nice place to sit and recover.

The cathedral de Santander is located in the city center and it is a big church that has a small entrance fee but I would say is worth it as it is beautiful, not the church that much but the outside area, like a small garden in the middle. The visit doesn’t take long and I recommend it!

Lovely cathedral, unfortunately it was closed and we didn’t have time to go inside but I’m sure it was as beautiful as it is on the outside!

Nice place. 2€ entrance is ok. On the other side is also a small chapel with no cost.
Fantastic colourful windows in the back.

Beautiful architecture and lovely courtyard, it costs 2 euro to enter both the front of the building and the main chapel. They have a dress code but it doesn’t seem to be adhered to strictly. On the dress code the images prohibit short skirts or shorts and sleeveless tops.
It is definitely a place with visiting!

Santander has a wonderful Cathedral. It was the start of our pilgrimage to Santiago. The priest refused our donated money for our passport stamp and blessed us for our journey. The surrounding area is worth a wander, with a water feature on the lower town side of the Cathedral. The interior has beautiful decorated ornate glass and more.
