Beautiful place to visit even if you're not religious. Has roman and medieval areas, museum and a beautiful quadrangle and garden to relax and enjoy the atmosphere as well as numerous altars for saints. Shop at exiting has some nice momentoes. Nice little restaurants and bars outside selling traditional food and drink

At first we thought €12 per person was a bit steep for a cathedral, but wow it was super worth it! My husband and I spent over 1 hour admiring the beauty of the cathedral and all its rooms and artwork. The leaflet given with the entry ticket was very helpful and ensured that we got to see everything! Too bad the wifi wasn’t fast enough to listen to the online audio guide. But all in all, definitely a MUST-SEE- it was my favourite location to see in Tarragona.

A wonderful Cathedral with a lot to see. Many chapels and great works of art. Importantly it still feels like a working church and has areas to meditate and pray.

Impressive building and its history. Vast areas usually closed are open to public in this church. Not only religious place, but also very interesting from architectural and historical view.

I recently visited the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Tarragona and it truly took my breath away. The architecture is absolutely stunning — a perfect blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles that showcases centuries of history. Walking through the cathedral feels like stepping back in time. One of the highlights is the peaceful atmosphere inside, which contrasts beautifully with the lively square outside. There’s a charming restaurant just next to the cathedral, and thanks to its prime location, dining there with the view of the cathedral is an unforgettable experience. A fun historical fact: the cathedral was built on the site of a former Roman temple dedicated to Emperor Augustus. This deep historical layering makes the visit even more meaningful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tarragona!

A deeply spiritual and moving experience Visiting the Cathedral of Tarragona was more than just sightseeing, it was a moment of deep connection with the sacred. The beauty of the Romanesque and Gothic architecture lifts the soul, and every corner of the cathedral seems to whisper centuries of prayer and devotion. The peaceful cloister invites quiet reflection, and the view is a breathtaking reminder of God’s greatness. It’s a place where faith and history meet — and the modest entrance fee is a small offering for such a grace-filled experience. Truly a blessing to be there.

This Cathedral and attached cloister were some of the most impressive that we have visited. The Rose Window and stained glass were especially awe inspiring. Bathrooms were available as you exit through the gift shop.

Very nice experience, though it costs 12€ to get in you definitely get a lot for the entrance! The free audio guide is very thorough and well done, providing a lot of interesting information. Very peaceful place :)
