I Went on a Food-focused Road Trip Through Catalonia — Here's Where to Find the Best Oysters, Olive Oil, and Even Sake

"I stopped at Catedral del Vi, an almost century-old Modernist structure that hosts a cooperative representing some 295 winemakers who favor Garnacha." - Isabelle Kliger

We visited this place as a group of four for €35, but only two of us were allowed to enter the museum. The museum itself is nice, but nothing special — you can see everything in about 10–15 minutes. After the museum, we were supposed to receive six glasses of wine (since we paid €15 for 2 glasses and €20 for 4 glasses). Instead, they just poured different wines into the same glass, which completely ruined the taste and aroma. The wine itself was not very good either, and serving different wines in the same glass is simply unacceptable. Two of us don’t drink wine anyway, but it was still disappointing. You can see in the photo what we actually got. There were also 4 or 5 other groups, but once they heard the price, they left. I visited this place about a year ago, and back then it was good value for the price. Unfortunately, now it’s more expensive, the wine is worse, and overall it’s not really worth it.

Ignore the haters, they are the typical problem seekers. I have had lunch here with my wife during August, it ess very calm and very nice waiters. The food was very good and I definitely recommend it. 35 euro is the menu price and it includes the following: 4 Entrantes 1 main dish(the solomillo meat was extra 8 euros but definitely worths its price!) 1 glass of wine 2 plates of desert of our choice from the car they served with. Definitely recommended!

Very interesting building to visit some some 20 min drive away from Miravet. Outstanding architectural masterpiece for Gaudí enthusiasts. A historical cooperative for local Terra Alta wine making in traditional style. We took the visit with 2 wines for tasting + their olive oil. You can do the tour easily without a guide following the QR codes and selecting your language preference. Well worth the drive.

This is a must do if you can make your way into town. We had a car, and I’m very glad we stopped for a tour and tasting. The staff was very friendly. We speak Spanish but everyone spoke English and Catalan as well. The tour is self guided, so you can take your time and take lots of photos. The four wines we tasted were wonderful, and the range of prices for wines to take away was perfect for any budget. They also offer a small plate of snacks with the tasting that we did with some lovely cheese and chorizo. The building is simply stunning. I took way too many pictures.

This is great place to visit. Looking great from the outside and inside. Nice wine and olive to taste. Recommend also to eat something in restaurant. We took menu, which I believe is in reasonable price and offers delicious, interesting food.

Great Museum in one of the most beautiful vineries in a modernist 1920s building explaining the history of local winemaking of a local wine cooperative...nice audio presentations in major languages. Well guided tour...nice wine tasting at the end...recommendable 5 stars.

Awful. First of all, there is no option to enter the museum without degustation. We bought 2 tickets, one for 15 one for 20 euros. We were told that we could enter the 4 of us at first, and then they said that we had to pay additionally for 2 people or exit. Liars. Then when my husband exited with my mother in law, they brought the wine. The appetizers for this price 35 euros: 3 thin slices of sausage, 3 slices of cheese. The wine was really bad, and all poured in one glass after we finished the previous one. Last year when we visited they brought every wine was in a separate glass. Obviously, the girl just did not want to clean glasses. And the information was dwlivered in a very detached way, as if we were boring her. Would not recommend, as not worth the price
