Catedral Metropolitana de Nuestra Señora de Monterrey

Beautiful historic church, from the architecture to the detailed tile floors, the beautifully painted ceiling,and unique details found throughout. Worth a quick visit.

I’m not a religious person but I love visiting old churches and cathedrals. This one is beautiful and you can tell it is old. It seems this is mostly for the rich people in MTY. Like I said, it is beautiful but not among the most impressive I have seen. The location is in a busy area.

So beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. Something you have to see with your own eyes to truly see how beautiful it is with all the detail. Incredible work of art

Grand cathedral in the middle of downtown Monterrey. It’s located between Macroplaza and Barrio Antiguo.

This is the most beautiful church in Monterey Mexico but was disappointed because I was told they cater to the rich and only the rich are allowed to utilize that church to get married which is very discriminating in nature and that practice needs to STOP IMMEDIATELY. My future wife was baptized there as a child and I can't believe that the people of that church engage in that activity. I sincerely hope someone from that church reads what I wrote to assure me they will stop that practice

Beautiful historic building, Baroque style. Built between 1705 and 1796.

The cathedral in downtown Monterrey located on the Macroplaza is one of the few colonial-era landmarks in the city. It is less elaborate than the cathedrals of other Mexican cities, but it is a nice church to be visited if you are exploring all of the Macroplaza area.
