Catfish Ranch

4.5 really but the service and friendly staff tipped it to 5 stars. Excellent food. Two adults and teens enjoyed the buffet. Picky 10 year old stuck to a kids meal, which she was very happy with. Frequently refilled items at the buffet ($16/per person and well worth it if you hungry like we were after a full day at the renaissance faire) which had a nice variety. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, beans, rice, green beans, frog legs, peach cobbler, deviled eggs, salad, highly recommend the homemade tamales, fried clams, catfish, shrimp scampi, gumbo and hush puppies. Only cons were sticky floors, and the back seating area by the hot food got quite warm as we finished our delicious meals. The AC kicked on high as we were leaving. The staff was super attentive and put the air on (we were the only ones that area). Great end to a great day. Apparently they have a drive thru.

Waitress and cook were great. Very friendly and helpful. Ended up getting the buffet. The catfish was good and no complaints about it. The shrimp was just ok. The cooked shrimp was fine but the cold shrimp was dry and not very good. The frog legs were great and went quickly. The different salads and such were very good as was the peach cobbler.

Walking in was nice! Big comfy booths, good for privacy and comfort. I enjoy the fried catfish po boy and I added their awesome coleslaw. Must try it! Portion size are big, so make sure you're super hungry before going in. The batter overall on their food is very crispy and tasty. Not salty. Not overly seasoned. I like it that way. Steak are okay, I'm a big steak eater but their main dish of catfish was delicious.

I can honestly say this is 2nd place I have eaten that is really good food. And by far the hottest plate. I usually get disappointed with the food. It really reminds me of Georgia food. Thank you

I was just passing through town heading southbound on the 64 and I seen this place at the last minute. I hit the Jake break and made a hard left Turn when I caught a glimpse of the catfish sign. Once I parked my truck, I stumbled on out and wobbled my way into the place Fat roll and all. I got the catfish and it was beyond delicious fresh crispy and I also got some crawfish and fried okra which was made to order so they were nice and crunchy. highly recommend. give this place a shot I think you’re gonna love it.

They charged my 16$ for a plate that only had one piece of fish on it. Everything else was sides cornbread okra and hushpuppies. What a waste. And wasn’t all that good, the fish was a 3 star. Hell the drinks are even nasty taste like tap water. Whoever likes this food will eat any dam thing, unless the employees jare the ones putting up their reviews. Nobody was there when I stopped by I should’ve known something was wrong

Homestyle cheese burger is the bomb! If you like crispy try the generous portions of tater tots. Really good service, relaxed atmosphere.

Ok, here goes: We travel thru Muskogee 4 or 5 times a year. Going from Missouri to Texas to see our Grandson. Always want to stop but it never hits a mealtime. Well today it did!! I read the previous reviews. Here's mine: Loved the people. Kind open and generous. We felt very welcome. My husband got the catfish meal and I got the catfish sandwich. Both fried. Excellent fish, but for us it could have been seasoned better. But still excellent. Husbands mashed potatoes were instant so nothing to brag about. Hushpuppies, slaw and okra very good. I had onion rings with my sandwich. Very good. All in all a very good choice for our lunch. The best part was the service. We are from Southwestern Missouri and I am always teased about my accent but I couldn't hold a candle to these wonderful people. Every one who walked by spoke to is us and made sure we were doing good. The young man who took my money was very polite and kind and a cutie patootie. One last thing. The decorations were very neatly done in a country style but my husband and I both commented on the restroom decorations. Who ever did the Womens did an awesome job. So cute and very hip country! The Mens apparently went more down a humorous hunting theme. Recommend you stop and give it a try!

The catfish was excellent . I had the catfish special I chose corn and mashed potatoes. I ordered my catfish fries hard and the chef understand the assignment. There was only one person working the front desk and the tables, however she was nice fast and efficient. The restaurant was clean and neat including the rest room.

The service was excellent.The food unbelievable.Restaurant clean and the decor is amazing they have an old wood burning stove and old telephones.I recommend it and if you get the catfish you are going to absolutely love it!!!

Food was hot, fresh and delicious!!! Catfish was perfectly prepared, crab legs were abundant, fresh and steamed with nice Cajun flavors, Cole slaw needed no extra seasoning and potatoes with white gravy was just like my grandmothers... excellent!!! Server and cook wer friendly and gracious... Will definitely stop here anytime we're passing through... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Affordable buffet and the catfish was great! I don't usually enjoy catfish because places don't clean them well and they taste like mud, but not here!! Great plain or with tartar sauce and lemon. Great friendly staff.

Good service. Steak was bland and catfish was soggy. Hush puppies were burnt and hard as a rock. Okra was good and the popcorn shrimp was decent.

I would highly discourage you from coming to this place. I ordered a T-bone medium rare and it came out and there was almost no pink at all in the steak. Then they cooked a new steak and this is what they brought out. I did not have the heart to argue with them but this is obviously rare. I'm taking it home to finish cooking it myself.

Stopped in here tonight since it was right beside our hotel Saturday they have a seafood buffet with lots of different types of shrimp, frog legs, crawfish, clams, hush puppy's fish plus lots of other foods as well Thei green beans were delish ! The buffet is like $15 plus you can get all you can eat crab legs for an extra $15 We chose both All was well worth the money When in the area we will for sure be back

Great food, and even though the buffet is small they have a wonderful selection. The people who work here have always been so welcoming.

We stopped in Muskogee and Catfish Ranch was near our motel. We walked over. The service was slow but the food was good. It was like having a Sunday dinner at someone's house. We were greeted by the cook who we assumed owned the place. The special requests we made were gladly accommodated and our food was just as we ordered. My advice, if you like to spend extra time at the restaurant relaxing and visiting while waiting, then come on in. If you are in a hurry, this isn't the place for you.

Right across from where we lit for the night. Had the grilled catfish and let me tell you, it was the best I have had. It was flaky and spicy (you can leave that off), and such a big portion. I don't live around here, but if I did, I would be a regular.

The restaurant is spacious. Plenty of seating, great food and service. The food is seasoned good. 15.00 for regular buffet or 35.99 for all you can eat crab with the buffet.

I personally love this place. They have the best hamburger steak with grilled onions! It's the best Salisbury steak I've ever had. My husband lives on biscuits and gravy, and he says theirs is so so good. I've always enjoyed coming here, and will continue to do so. They have the best waitresses that are so friendly.I would definitely recommend this place.

No one was up front to greet us, seated ourselves then was brought drinks and order taken. My grilled shrimp was rubbery baked potato not hot nor done. Husband's catfish was good but same on his baked potato. Will be awhile before we try again. Service wasn't that great either

We went on a Friday night but the restaurant was not busy at all. They had one waitress for the entire restaurant and she was probably waiting 5 tables maximum. She came to our table one time the entire time we were there. This would be understandable if they had been busy but they weren't. The floors near the buffet were so sticky that our shoes were sticking to them...even on the carpeted surfaces. Many of the tables we walked by were filthy and there were tons of dead flies on the window sills. If you love Christmas, this is the place for you because they still had Christmas decorations up. The buffet had a limited selection for $13.00 a person. The cabbage soup and green beans tasted like they had been cooked in rusty iron. They had pickled okra on the bar that literally tasted like dish soap. Desserts were just left out on a table with no type of covering or sneeze guard whatsoever on them. This place is an episode of Kitchen Nightmares just waiting to happen.

I thought I could read the sigh correctly but I guess I was wrong. Went in to get some breakfast since sign reads served anytime.

Stopped in for a very tasty lunch while on the road. Food was wonderful and staff was extremely friendly. Prices were very good. Will definitely stop here again.

We ate there on a Saturday night for the seafood buffet. The fried fish was little, tiny pieces. Not like filets or pieces of fish...think more like popcorn sized fish pieces. The frog legs were ALL BURNT AND HARD ON ONE SIDE! It was crazy. Literally, they were dried out and burnt on one side and battered and kind of fried on the other side. Seriously, I have no idea how they even made them that bad! They were consistent, consistently bad...up until that night I had NEVER, EVER met a frog leg I didn't like. The buffet is small...and housed numerous mystery items. The best things available were the (cold) hush puppies and the coleslaw. I left wondering how this establishment had managed to stay in business so long. Color me crazy confused!

Very good catfish, fried okra, onion rings & hush puppies. Not over salted as most places do. Great service, reasonable prices and NOT noisy!!! Recommended by business across the street who eat there frequently!!!!

It was late and this place is next to the motel. I had the seafood buffet for $15. It was plentiful, but I won't say much about the quality, since it was nearly closing time. Being more south, this buffet offered perl and eat shrimp, popcorn shrimp, garlic shrimp, crawdads. Despite the late hour, the service was fast and friendly.

They have the best catfish I've ever had, super crispy, and great tartar sauce. Service was a little slow, but they made it up with great customer service.

This place is absolutely disgusting. While eating at this restaurant with my family, we noticed 4 roaches, INCLUDING one that was on my sons plate. Never again will i be revisiting this restaurant.

Food was really good. A definite filler upper. Cat fish needs a little more season in batter mix but was really good. Awesome customer service, and good prices. A definite for repeat.

You can definitely tell that this is a local favorite! Everyone seemed to know everyone. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The floor wasn't very clean and the silverware had a murky look to it (I'm pretty picky on cleanliness). My husband ordered the patty melt and it was AWESOME! My little girl got a grilled cheese and I got the catfish. I was so disappointed in the catfish...so bland. There was NO flavor to it unless I dunked it in tartar sauce. Sweet tea was really good. We got the coconut pie afterwards and OMG if they'd had a full pie left I would have bought the entire thing...SO GOOD.

Great little place! Great catfish , good meatloaf ! Great peach cobbler! Great service! Nice atmosphere! Just passing through in the semi we parked across the lot. Only thing would've been better if they served beer & wine!

If you want great catfish and Southern Hospitality, I recommend Hornback's Catfish Ranch. Excellent food and Great Southern service. A must for dining in Oklahoma

Stopped on our way through. To start off we had to ask for new silverware because mind was dirty. Salad was just lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. I had the steak which had no favor and was dry. I had a bake potato that had a huge burnt spot on it. My husband had a double cheese burger and onion rings which he said was average. Not impressed and was over priced for the quality you get. Will not be back.

The only good thing I can say about this restaurant the help is very friendly! The catfish was pretty much tasteless, Okra, onion rings, and hush puppies were overcooked and hard. The beans had no flavor. The best part of the meal was the salad and blue cheese dressing. I would not bother to stop here again. We went because we want to catfish but it looks like maybe other choices on the menu would've been much better.

Stopped for lunch on our way through Oklahoma. Good food w fast and friendly service at a very affordable price. A lot of locals seemed to be eating there which is always a good sign. The catfish sandwich was tasty and hot. Also serves breakfast all day. Had the Spanish omelet which was good and served w a humongous biscuit & gravy. Overall good food. Nothing fancy but that suits us just fine.
