Good for backpackers who just need a night to stay... not the place for you if you're looking for a fancy weekend out. Very simple rooms, there's an ironing room on the second floor, there's been some cyclone damage near the pool but that's been cleared out. The pool is alright, but I wouldn't recommend it for children. Friendly staff who are helpful and made up for the simple state of things.

Very small beds.

I think its a good place to sleep overnight. Make sure you bring your own toiletries and towel and flip flops. The floor are kinda sticky and the room I stayed in doesn't have any TV. Somehow it gives out a "haunted" kinda look and feel 🤔

Beds look cheap and feels cheap, fire alarm going off in two seperate nights, a guest almost got electricuted trying to iron cloths, washrooms stinks even after house keeping cleans it, rooms are not standardised, manager is rude when dealing with guests. Good place for 1 night only. dont waste money for a 1 week vacation.

WORST hotel in Lautoka. Stayed two "miserable" nights in Jan.2023.
Here is my actual experience during my stay:
1. No internet.
2. $10 charge for a towel.
3. Room window blinds broken (on all rooms). No privacy as room visible from outside.
4. Loud/noisy aircon. Felt like a gust of wind blowing inside room. Outside noise as well. Unable to get a peaceful night sleep.
5. Bathroom drain blocked. When asked front desk for assistance, he was NOT happy that I called him. I insisted that he use the plunger that he had to clear the clog...which he did reluctantly. Drainage issue still remained afterwards.
6. Insects: Bugs and mosquitoes inside room. Had to buy an insect spray to kill the mosquitoes and bugs.
Although new management take over, yet NO IMPROVEMENTS done in this Hotel...
Warning: Stay at your own risk.

Not one single thing was clean. Had to personally ask for towels and the pool was extremely dirty. Somehow the suite is the worst room available, everything is outdated and dirty and is missing a lot of appliances found in other regular rooms.

Lautoka Cathay hotel Manager should learn people skills and OHS for guests and staff. A colleague of mine almost got electrocuted. Furniture's are old and can easily break. Make sure to check your rooms inventory with receptionist before checking in. They can bring a damaged furniture and place it in your room after you've checked out and call you the next day to remind you of the damage. Guests of the same team are having a few drinks in a room manager intervenes and decides who should remain in the room and who should return to their rooms. House keeping should use proper cleaning liquids that gives out a good smell when dried up. Staff were friendly apart from the manager, needs to go on issues management training

Housemaids dont clean rooms properly. When we pulled the bedsheet out, it was dirty underneath. Pillows smelled of last persons drool(saliva) which means they Dont wash. We got out the same night. But fijians staffs are friendly and helpful but can't say the same about the indian workers.

Very bad in customer service and very bad conditions of room. I checked in and then wanted to check out on the first night, lady at thr reception said she will talk to the manager and get back to me but I had no response from the hotel on the options I had. These got dragged on for over a week. That's how slow they were. I would give them zero stars.
