Not familiar with the restaurants in the area but saw that this restaurant opens for Dim Sum at 9 am. So, decided to have breakfast there.
The Dim Sum menu is extensive and should satisfy most cravings.
We ordered the traditional congee with Chinese fried dough, beef rice rolls, pan-fried beef bao, soy sauce chives fried rice noodles, and oyster sauce beef rolls with tofu wrappers. Must say that they were quite authentic. Flavorful, with the expected ingredients and textures.
Service was also friendly and attentive.
They do charge for tea; per person.
We had a nice experience and decided to return the next day for different items on the menu (for breakfast). On the second visit, we tried a few new items: egg rolls, XO sauce fried rice rolls, shrimp gao, pork with thousand years egg congee, Chinese fried dough, and BBQ beef pastry.
The 2nd visit was a bit disappointing. The egg rolls clearly were not made in-house and not crispy enough. The wrapper of the shrimp gao was too thick. And, the chef might have forgotten about how much ground pork to put into the congee (only found maybe as much as a spoonful in a big bowl of congee). Not sure what happened in the kitchen.
The XO sauce fried rice rolls and the BBQ Beef pastry were good.
We decided to go somewhere else for breakfast the day after.
