Cathedral Church of The Resurrection

I attended the funeral ceremony of one of my closest relative there. I really admire the architect and beauty of this marvellous church. The church reminded me of the English period in subcontinent. How did they make so massive building with rich dynamic and engineering? God bless this Church.

Stained glass windows, resplendent with stories in vibrant hues, cast kaleidoscopic light upon the stone pillars and ribbed vaults below. Gargoyles and grotesques, like guardians of time, watch over the faithful from their perches on the walls, while the rose window, a masterpiece of intricate geometries, floods the interior with a kaleidoscope of colors. The Cathedral Church of Resurrection is more than a place of worship; it is a living testament to the intricate artistry and profound spirituality of the Gothic era.

This Neo-Gothic style Cathedral is the Cathedral Church of Resurrection and was built in 1887 after the first church that was built near Lahore Fort was demolished 200 years ago. This is situated opposite the Lahore High Court. In one of the pictures, you can see a condemnation message to all the Muslims about the Quran Burning incidents in Sweden.👍 It is a tourist attraction site and people of the Muslim faith can visit the cathedral. For that, you need approval paper from any law firm. Next time, I will visit this place prepared and post updates.

It is an Anglican Church currently under the management of Church of Pakistan Lahore dioceses. The cathedral of resurrection was built in 1887 and is one of the oldest church in Pakistan.

I started my schooling from here. It was a happy time memories. My father was a govt officer so postings was a regular item. Every two three years new place and new school. As a first school the memories are vibrant.

The Cathedral Church of the Resurrection, aka Lahore Cathedral, is an Anglican Cathedral in the heart of Lahore . It was built on The Mall in 1887, opposite the Lahore High Court. Beautiful Cathedral must visit this site even if you are not Christian. Enjoyed the experience.
