I love this local church. Very historic and beautiful in all of its gilded glory. The icons are impressive and the Sunday morning liturgy is one not to be missed, especially for the beautiful choir. It’s quite a special treat to go and pay one’s respects in a church that will be far different than the experience one may have had if you’re used to a catholic mass. No pew. Everyone stands throughout the sermon. And it’s not rude to arrive late and immediately set about making the rounds of praying to the various icons. It’s more about one’s personal experience and connection with God. Highly recommended.

The cathedral was opened in 1861. The architectural design was inspired by the Hagia Sophia in Constantinople, as well as the features of 17th-century Novgorod and Moscow architecture. The cathedral features a five-domed structure, with the five domes symbolizing Jesus Christ and the four evangelists, and the central dome reaching a height of 48 meters. The interior of the cathedral, typical of Orthodox churches, is characterized by its abundance of gilding, frescoes, and ornate iconostasis. The iconostasis for the lower Trinity Church was carved from oak and was moved from the former embassy church. The cathedral is known for its rich history: Pablo Picasso and Olga Khokhlova were married here in 1918, and Ivan Bunin and Vera Muromtseva were married here in 1922. People always come here, and the cathedral is very popular. The aroma inside is wonderful, and the aura is pleasant.

It is situated like 400 meters from Arc de Truimph. The cathedral is grandiose and impressive. It is worth it to see it in person.

I've personally been to over 70 churches in Paris, following Guide des visites d'églises published by Art Culture et Foi. First of all, I must state that this is one of the best churches I've seen in Paris center. It's so intense inside you could feel that this is a special place. I really wonder why it's not listed in the guide des visites d'églises... This place should imperatively be listed in the booklet... I'm very surprised that such a special place is not listed...

A Russian-Orthodox gem in this quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance to the Champs Élysée. Can be visited at times and offers regular services. Consecrated in 1861 and very beautiful!
