Cathédrale Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul de Nantes

A large church with a tall white stone interior which is a popular sight for visitors. The inside is quiet and features colorful stained glass and impressive medieval details.

Beautiful cathedral with super massive columns. It’ll be exciting to watch the restoration takes place. It’s a must visit in Nantes.

A splendid example of a cathedral, well worth a visit

Such a pity that all this eglise is closed off. It's had a lot of fire damage done to it and I guess for safety reasons it's all barricaded off. There are really pretty gardens beside it though that we wandered through and it was nice to see the eglise from different angles.

Currently closed and under refurbishment. But you can tell it's impressive. Don't forget to go to the square at the back. More sites there...

Gorgeous. The archways are intricately details. The columns are awesome. It gives of Very nice and inviting feeling. Nice to go in for mass or just to sit with your thoughts or prayers. Very beautiful and inspiring. 🙏

I am always in awe of the architectural work of the cathedrals and churches in Europe. This cathedral in Nantes is in the gothic tradition. Construction began in the early 1400 century And was not completed until late 1800. In 1862, it was listed as the monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.

Beautiful place.

Marvelous site. A great place to visit and take photos in the summer. The area is very green and you can have a picnic there.
