Cats Hostel Porto

Clean, comfortable and accommodating! When there was an issue with another traveler, the hostel gave me and another girl an empty room to stay in one night. When I had virtual interviews, they offered me an empty room to take the calls. Love the staff

Great location and super friendly staff and social roommates made the stay very enjoyable. A little bit weird having the dorm in another building. Room was decent, but curtains on the beds would really help with privacy. Lockers under the beds didn’t work, and I had to buy a padlock nearby. Cleaning staff came by daily, which kept things nice and clean. Social atmosphere was great, especially on the rooftop terrace. Only downside was the AC not working properly, making it hard to sleep. Overall, a solid stay thanks to the people, cleanliness, and location.

Well located hostel with a terrace and friendly staff. I had a good time here. Unfortunately it was not very crowded due to winter season but worth a stay anyways.

Nice hostel at a reasonable price. Location is central however be careful on this street, especially at night - a man tried to rob me while I was using the ATM, luckily he did not have a weapon (or he chose not to use it). There are several seedy characters that hang on this street so be cautious.

A really fun hostel in a great location. I was really worried it would be loud (I got there on a Friday night around 10:30 pm and there was music playing and drunk dudes in the lobby), but from my room on the 3rd floor I couldn't hear anything. Our room faced the rooftop patio but they close it by 10, so as long as you're not planning on sleeping at 9 you'll be fine. The rooftop was a cool place to hangout and the beers are cheap (5e for 1L... Dangerous). It was definitely hot in the room but we left the door open for the patio and it cooled it down

I had an amazing 2 nights at the Cats Hostel Porto! The hostel was super central and social, so it was perfect as a solo traveller. The staff were very lovely and helpful! Overall great experience and would recommend to anyone:)

our bathroom smelled like sewage and was super moist the entire time because there was no air circulation in there. we didn’t have wifi in our room on the fourth floor. also three people in my room got bed bugs…very unhygienic place unfortunately

Cats Hostel is near Saó Bento station. That's the only good thing about Cats Hostel. Disgusting service, just pay money and leave. The bathrooms were dirty and at some point unhygienic, they did not bother to clean the dustbins. The toilet seat was broken. Extremely shoddy place. We lived in one-of-the sister of Cats Hostel(It means Cats has a main building and many other sister buildings nearby). No social life. No activities. Horrible services. Would strongly not recommend anyone to come to this hostel. Especially if you are in your 30's, when you are early 20, full of energy, partying and bagpacking, then maybe a pocket-friendly option. Disgusting.
