Best fly shop around if they aren't open ring the bell the owner is awsome and will help you out. They have the best guides in the area and great gear.

First guided fly fishing trip. Learned a lot of new techniques from Matt and I caught a bunch of fish. Can’t complain, had a great time. Amazing scenery. Highly recommend their shop and Paul has been great with communication. Hope to come down to Phoenicia again in the near future!

5 stars! Paul runs a great fly shop. He took me out on a private guided trip on the beautiful Esopus Creek over Labor Day weekend. He taught me a ton and put me on fish. Highly recommended and I’ll definitely be returning.

Paul is such a nice guy. He’s extremely knowledgeable and happy to share. He went above and beyond to help my husband get what he needed to make an amazing trip fly fishing. My son and I were supposed to be with a guide from another county and realized I had misbooked the location. I am familiar with the Phoenicia area but I had never stopped in this place. The proprietor, Paul, was so gracious and informative. At the time, the Esopus was down , as were trout. He recommended rivers where we were actually staying, even showed us how to access them. He recommended flies and techniques. I've been out with a few guides here and there but this gentleman was off the charts superb and NICE! So nice, that we are returning in the Fall to go out with him on the Esopus. He is the kind of guide I look forward to being out with. Remember, I had not been out yet but can't wait.

Paul is my go-to fishing guide in the Catskills. He has guided me twice now; last year we did a half day in the summer, and last weekend we did a full day with a friend of mine. On both guided days I learned a TON, fished harder than I ever had before, and ended the day a significantly better angler than I started. Oh, and both times we landed a bunch of fish! He's extremely personable, a great teacher, knows the water like the back of his hand, and a really fun guy to be on the creek with.

i picked this shop to take me out on the water. i went out with paul and rob. we had great times and caught fish. i learned a bunch of new stuff. the shop is super cool and has a lil bit of everything so if you need a new topo backpack or some artisanal salt, look no further. great gazebo to chill out on after a day of casting. paul is the man.
