For those who wish to experience a holy event and pilgrimage: Best time to go is JULY and SEPTEMBER when the relic of the HOLY RING OF OUR LADY is exposed

We crashed a mass, so we went back later. Cathedral is dedicated to Saint Lawrence build in 15th century. What is interesting about it is that the main doors are not facing the main square. Frescoes are beautifull, especially on ceiling. Inside u can find at the back of the church in front of an altair a relic. It is a Holy ring which is simbolizing marriage between Mary and Joseph.

Created during the 15th century to replace the former Romanesque cathedral, it stands in an area considered sacred since the archaic era. The cathedral houses important artworks, such as Deposition by Federico Barocci (1569) and the Madonna delle Grazie by G. Di Paolo. The reliquary of the Holy Ring is worthy of note, while a pictorial cycle by Pandolfi (1573-76) can be seen in the sacristy.

Impressive in parts but not overwhelming. There are a handful of interesting artworks but the overall feeling in the interior is far less impressive than the Duomo’s piazza facade.

Magnificent cathedral. The paints in the roof are a work of art. Is the most important church in Perugia and is very impressive. Also, it is located in the Piazza IV November, near other landmarks of the city.

The Cathedral is unfinished on the outside ... a wonderful insight into construction methods .....pass the fountain... follow the main Piazza... and you will not be disappointed.....

Very beautiful from the inside, a must see if you are around. Mind the opening hours for public: 8:00-12:30 and 16:00-18:45 all the time and there is some additional time depending on the season. You are not allowed to take pictures inside and have to wear proper clothes. Maybe.
