Catussaba Business Hotel

Great hotel, lovely staff very helpfulThe pool was great and clean the food was beyond expectations

We stayed here due to one of the sister hotels being fully booked.||||Whilst the hotel cleared catered more for the Business traveler (hence the name) we where made to feel most welcome.||||Service by staff was always good and the restaurant staff where more than happy to clean our infant sons milk bottles for us. Food was generally good, with a tasty buffet breakfast provided each day.||||The single greatest thing for ourselves was the pool. Large, clean and delightfully empty we spent many a happy hour beside it. it would seem the other guests of the hotel chose to spend their time elsewhere which worked just fine for us.||||With easy access to town and very close to the main airport, the Catussaba business proved to be an ideal place to stay whilst visiting friends and family in Salvador.

The hotel is barely 3 star, at least according to European standards. Many of the reception shifts did not speak English, the rooms were not very clean. There were stains on the bed sheets, some of them were ripped and had small holes, curtains were dirty, the water kept dripping from the shower. The fridge is so loud that you can hardly sleep. The rooms are not at all soundproof. ||The breakfast had a variety of fruit, some breads and scrambled eggs and sausages in tomato sauce. I wouldnt say it was the best breakfast either.||||As a hotel guest you have access to a hotel pool, but not to the resort which has the beach. The neighborhood is a little dodgy. I guess this hotel can be an OK choice if you have a stopover in Salvador as the location is close to the airport.

I was there a couple of months ago and had a wonderful experience. I absolutely loved all of the staff! The rooms were clean and I’m looking forward to go on vacation there in the future. All of the staff were great but I would like to thank Estefanio Felipe for going above and beyond to make sure me and the family were safe and showed us great hospitality! I highly recommend this hotel!!!

First impression? Poor maintenance.||My colleague and I both had to change our fist given rooms. The AC was not turning on mine and no lights on hers. Faucets dripping in all rooms. Coffee break restaurant AC broken as well.||The curtains a little bit dirt or moldy, but the cleanness was adequate. Nothing new, but functioning.||The receptionists were efficient but not kind. Not the most attentive staff at all.||Positive points: Very good localization if your businesses are outside Salvador downtown. Good nearby restaurant options. Good to take an early or an after work walk on the beach. They have a decent pool to deal with the heat. The breakfast is included on the rate and it is decent.

I think for the price i paid the hotel was ok. The staff was friendly and spoke english. Wifi was decent.||||The staff in the restaurant was not so good in english, but very friendly and helpful. We figured it out with a bit of sign language etc.||||The pool area is very nice, but i didn't use it.||||The breakfast was good. I was ok satisfied. I would stay here again if i have a stopover in Salvador.

Stayed at the Catussaba Business just for a stopover.||||For that purpose it does the job fine. Not too far from the airport and comfortable enough to rest up before heading onwards again the next day.||||The rooms are OK and allow for a good rest. The WiFi seemed to work well. Breakfast a nothing special buffet.||||I only wish I had realised that the Resort and Business Hotels were not on the same site. As the Resort hotel had a much nicer sea front setting. Oh well next time............

Hotel is an average 3 starts. Beds are not good at all, tv is old, ac not works well, ceiling fan does not work and staff are not totally friendly. Recommended for one night stay maximum; which is my case as we are following our trip to Imbassai resort on the following day. Advantage is to be located near by the airport.
