Caupona Pompei Ristorante

I had an incredible experience at Caupona, a place that truly brings the flavors of ancient Rome to life! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere transported me back in time with its beautifully designed decor, inspired by classical Roman villas and frescoes. The attention to historical detail in both the ambiance and the menu was impressive. If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s both educational and delicious, I highly recommend Caupona. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or just someone who enjoys great food, this place is a must-visit! I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more of their menu.

We had a lovely meal here, the food was great though this restaurant is on pricier side. Great atmosphere cause we were welcomed by the cats 😃 We were served by Agosto ( friendly funny guy ). The staffs are helpful and polite. Overall a great diner experience with great atmosphere.

We visited Ristorante Caupona as a family with our daughter – and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip! The restaurant is beautifully designed like an ancient Roman tavern, with amazing attention to detail and a wonderfully immersive atmosphere. Our waiter Augusto was incredibly kind, attentive, and made our daughter feel especially welcome – thank you so much! The food was excellent, creative, full of flavor, and surprisingly authentic. For a moment, we really felt transported back to Roman times – but with all the comforts of today. Highly recommended for families and anyone who wants to combine history with great food while visiting Pompeii!

We've been in Naples for 4 days and this is simply the best food we've had! Everything fresh, well seasoned and well perfected. We shared the starters tuna and chicken, had fries and zucchini for sides and couldn't finish it all. Beautiful yard to dine in and also beautiful bathrooms. :) Very good experience all in all.

We we’re here October last year and was a bit taken aback when we’ve fully realized that this restaurant has a theme (and is hard at it). Thankfully, the experience didn’t end up as a novelty. The ambiance travels you back in time. The servers are also clothed akin to ancient times. Food was interesting. 5 stars for the theme alone.

This is ABSOLUTELY the best way to end a day after touring the archaeological sites! The atmosphere was great. The food was great, but the reality is the best part was the staff! Augusto and the rest of the staff were wonderful attentive. They helped us get dressed and costumes not required, but very fun. I did the ancient menu which was great. But Augusto made suggestions and prepared things to handle my wife’s vegetarian diet, which came out spectacularly - she loved it. I would give the six stars if I could.

Such a beautiful quiet place with lovely attentive staff. I would recommend to anyone visiting Pompeii for the day and need a glass of wine and fresh food! Be prepared to wear authentic clothing whilst you eat ( great for a fun unique dining experience and also protects your clothing!) thank you to all the staff at Caupona, you made mine and my mums visit amazing:)

It's a cool place to feel the Pompei atmosphere but it feels like a tourist trap. The food was just OK for the price. Not bad but not worth the money. Maybe we picked the wrong dishes. Octopus was drowned in a sauce for example. Squid and Pasta was cold. Looks great in the picture tho. Piano music didn't match but if you like to dress in roman outfit as a tourist then this is the place to go.
