😊: During my recent island hopping in September and October 2025, I stayed at this very friendly family hotel several times. Most rooms are located at the main building, but there are also a few rooms in a house 50 metres away. Most of the rooms in the main building are quite different from each other. Each room has its own unique character. Yet they’re all decorated in the same style. I stayed in the second building several times, and the attached photos are taken there. My room there had two small floors, with the double bed on top. The decor there was different, but the stay was also very comfortable. The bathroom with shower and toilet was very spacious and absolutely spotless. The rooms have a refrigerator and complimentary bottles of water. There is also a kettle with coffee and tea. Air conditioning works well. Housekeeping is provided daily. An excellent breakfast is served in the morning. This can be enjoyed in the spacious courtyard or, if the weather is less favourable, inside the main building. Georgios and his family are excellent hosts who will help you with everything and offer good advice. It feels like staying with friends. The hotel is located in the old town, close to the Akandia New Gate, and therefore within easy walking distance of the ports. A real advantage for those visiting other islands by boat! The large Blue Star Ferries ships dock in the eastern part of Rhodes Town harbour (accessible via the aforementioned city gate), and the Dodekanisos Seaways catamarans arrive at Kolona Harbour (west of the hotel accessible via the Panayia Gate). Double-check with Georgios. In both cases, the boats are easily accessible on foot. At the booking you can request a taxi to pick you up at the airport. A taxi is also the easiest way to return to the airport. From the hotel both sea ports are easily accessible on foot. Just like any place in the old town. There are 3 good restaurants in the same street as the hotel.. 😢: /.

If you want a hotel which is full of character and history this is for you! It is a small boutique hotel and all the rooms are different. George and Alexia are absolutely lovely people and will go out of their way to help you. The breakfast is lovely with lots of choices and with homemade jams etc. I am gluten intolerant and they made sure there was some breads etc for me to eat. We loved the breakfast courtyard. The hotel is in the old town but not near the hustle and bustle. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here over our wedding celebrations and ceremony and could not have been treated better. The hosts were attentive and went above and beyond in every aspect and treated us like royalty. The room was perfect, in a fantastic location, kept immaculately clean and everyone was friendly and nothing we asked for or needed was too much of a problem. Amazing bars and restaurants on the doorstep, amazing fresh breakfasts every morning. Absolutely perfect. We are already looking at when we can return as soon as possible!! Thank you so much for everything Giorgos and Alexia for making our stay truly special and something we will remember forever!

As a solo traveler, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Rhodes. Alexia and George are truly exceptional hosts – warm, friendly, and full of positive energy. Along with the rest of the amazing team, they made me feel like part of a big family from day one. They helped me with everything – from great local recommendations to renting a car – and even surprised me with a free upgrade to a suite with a gorgeous balcony. Their kindness and support made my trip smooth and unforgettable. The hotel itself is stunning – a charming, traditional Greek house with real soul. Every detail is thoughtful and authentic. The location is perfect: right in the heart of the Old Town, yet peaceful and quiet. Comfortable rooms, beautiful surroundings, and a high-quality breakfast every morning – this place has it all. I’ll definitely be coming back to Rhodes, and I already know where I’ll stay again. Thank you for everything 🇬🇷✨

Cava d’ Oro was a nice little surprise in the Jewish quarter of the old town. Owned and operated by true Rhodian gems owners Alexia and George take care of their customers advising them about the old town with personal care. Rooms are small but cozy and bathrooms clean and new. Just a couple of minutes away is the busy Main Street of the old town. But you can always lose yourself in the smaller streets and immerse yourself in the Spirit of Rhodes old town.

I really wish I had taken pictures to support some of the statements below, which are truthful 100%. The only good thing about this hotel is they provided directions to the port and that also the shower flow was strong. The rest is truly the worst I have been to in many many years and this place cannot be called a hotel and needs to shut down for sanitary reasons: Overall feeling of rudeness and not feeling welcome Courtyard Door always locked Check-in allegedly closes at 8pm: we were locked out at 11pm and had to wait 15mins for someone to open - owner seems to ignore the fact that many planes land after 10pm - we were repeatedly told how "lucky" we were that someone opened the door at this hour Hotel could not find our prepaid reservation and demanded a voucher printout, finally accepted email in lieu of paper voucher Bed bugs could be heard in the wooden truces, but better yet could be felt biting Separate beds instead of a single double bed Dirty bathrooms with black mold visible in the grout lines and silicon Semen stains on bed cover and pillows Lipstick stains on towels Worn out towels with threads coming apart around the edges Dirty floors with hair left on them Breakfast not available before 8:30 Cannot leave bags for a few hours at reception and had to carry them on our day trip to Symi Left my jacket after checkout and came back to retrieve to a locked door: when I knocked, I was told by owner to not knock or he would call the police - gave me back my jacket
