9 of the Best Niagara Falls Viewpoints

"Feel the fury of Bridal Veil Falls at Cave of the Winds, a viewpoint within Niagara Falls State Park. Despite the moniker, there are no caves here anymore — there used to be a cave-like overhang, but it collapsed more than 100 years ago. Instead, there's a series of boardwalks and viewing platforms that bring you to the foot of the falls. You and your shoes will definitely get wet, so come prepared. Note that a timed-entry ticket should be purchased in advance of your arrival." - Travel + Leisure Editors

I visited Cave of the Winds to experience Niagara Falls up close, and it was absolutely amazing! It’s a must-do activity when you're at the falls. Feeling the power of the water so near, especially from the Hurricane Deck, was thrilling and unforgettable. The views were breathtaking, and the whole experience was well-organized and safe. It gives you a completely different perspective of the falls. Totally worth it — don’t miss this incredible adventure when you visit Niagara!

I arrived around 9:30am on a Wednesday morning and there was no one in line to purchase tickets. That timing was perfect because the crowd tripled over the next hour. Parking is $10 and an adult ticket is $23 (although it may reduce in a few months). I did my research and arrived in shorts and flip flops. Also got a waterproof bag for my keys, cards, and phone. A flimsy poncho is provided, but being drenched by the Falls is part of the experience. I thought I'd need a towel after but dried off pretty quick on the car ride out. It was definitely a fun and wet experience! 💦

Majestic and unforgettable place. We love it and we enjoyed taking tour of Cave of the winds. We suggest to go early so that you can take the best photo you want. Just be extra careful when walking it can be slippery. Make sure you put your poncho because of the birds can poop on your head . Anyway we love this place.

Google
We weren’t sure if we would do this because we stayed on the Canadian side which everyone said was better (and it was for many reasons), however this is worth crossing over into the US to do! I’m so glad we did it. When else do you get to stand in Bridal Veil Falls? We got soaked! Truly incredible feeling. Being that close to that much rushing water was a thrill!

Google
Favorite experience during our visit to the falls! Wow! Couple tips that we learned… You have to buy your tickets at the booth, and your time slot might be a couple of hours later, so go ahead and buy them earlier than you think. The website says tickets are $21 and they’re only open until 6PM, but this is incorrect. Tickets are $23 and they were still running tours at 9PM on Sat. July 18. The beginning of the tour is guided, through some educational displays and a short movie and multimedia presentation (both parts were very cool and very well done). Once you’re down the elevator and onto the decking, you’ll get your poncho and the rest of the time you’re on your own. You can take as much time as you want to enjoy the falls and take photos and marvel! Your shoes will get soaking wet if you go up to Hurricane Deck. Ah! Amazing! Powerful! So fun!

Google
Astonishing. Even better than the Maid of the Mist because you’re right there. The majesty and sheer scale and might of the water is miraculous. Hard to grasp humans are only able to do so safely for the past century or so. I would bring everyone here at least one time as a way to commune with creation’s most wondrous sights and sounds.

It's worth doing atlist once in everybody's life. Greatly manged all the points. Scenic trolley (1st stop near welcome center) is the best thing which really helps to cover all yhe points. Experience at the cave of the winds is completely awesome... yellow ponchos are actually for namesake..its too thin but still it's perfect... cause it will help you to get wet... and getting almost or completely wet will give the real experience of fall. If anybody don't want to get wet then better to carry the blue poncho which are getting at the Maid of the mist. If possible carry extra pair of clothes. Hurricane desk is real bliss to have the adventures experience under the water fall.

Ken Huang

Google
If you didn't get ALL wet you indeed have never been here. Cave of the Winds is about 10 times more fun than standing in the boat. The area smells like a fish market, thanks to the seagulls. It's hard to describe in words, you have to come to feel it yourself. Prepare extra clothes and have fun!

Yelp
Located on Goat Island at Niagara Falls State Park. No advance ticket sales and all tickets must be purchased in person at the ticket window. We picked up a 3.30pm window. Best way to reach there is to take the Niagara Scenic Trolley or else you can walk from the main parking lot. This is the the closest you can get to the waters of Niagara Falls. We took the elevator ride deep into the Niagara Gorge. Walked through the old tunnels to collect the ponchos. There was a long line at the point of time. Waited for almost 15 mins to start walking through a series of wooden walkways to Hurricane Deck. It's just 20ft away from Bridal Veil Falls. Beware - Ponchos are barely helpful. Better be prepared. We were completely soaked while standing on the Hurricane deck. Rainbows were visible. The view is breathtaking and it's one of the best experiences. The fall is so loud that you could feel the power of water and at the same feel the ecstasy! We spent around 1.5 hours there soaking in water and clicking pictures. We did the walk couple of times. Kids had the best time. Soaking in water on a sunny day was some fun for them. An experience of a lifetime! This is one place I would love to go back and enjoy it again when I visit Niagara Next time!

Yelp
Yes, it's pricey, but it's a one of a kind experience, so I think it's worth it. Plus, if you have a child who is age 5 or younger, they are free, so that can offset your cost. It was exciting to feel the Niagara Falls actually on your back. My kids loved it so much that they insisted on walking through twice (and you can actually walk through as many times as you want). Yes, you will get SOAKED. They provide a poncho but I put the hood down so I even had water down my back. I'm so glad I wore shorts and flip flops though. :) I encourage you to go at an off-peak time of day. We went at about 5PM on a Friday in early October and were pleased to find no line anywhere we went. We were able to walk right up to the ticket booth, watch the video immediately, and walk freely on the walkways. In fact, the kids had so much fun that we walked the entire pathway twice. We were able to finish our entire experience in less than an hour, even walking the pathway twice.

Yelp
What a beautiful and breathtaking natural wonder! This is as close to the falls as you can get (besides walking on the NY side at the crows nest/the maid of mist exit area). I wish I was able to experience the cave of winds in its full potential. There is a theater and walkthrough informational area before you experience the falls depicting the history of this amazing natural wonder *The Hurricane area (where you walk under/near the falls, is closed off until mid May. Unfortunately we missed the whole experience due to the area being rebuilt during our visit. I found out by a staff member, that the bridge area is rebuilt yearly due to the velocity of the water impacting the bridge. Safety is their main concern.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
This is an intense experience. You will get wet. In fact you are likely to be completely soaked. You take an elevator down to the platform. The experience is to traverse some decking built into the side of a waterfall. The views are stunning, although because of the amount of water in the air, it was sometimes hard to see the falls. There is one spot where the water from the falls directly hits the decking. It is scary, invigorating, and completely soaking. You truly feel the power of the water. The 'ride' starts with a short film that is very well done. It talks about the takeover of industry around Niagara Falls and how people fought to bring back its native lands. It also talks about harnessing its power to provide electricity to a wide swath of the US. Loved this experience.
google avatar

Justin F.

Yelp
This was well worth doing and a very unique experience at Niagara Falls. Honestly, if you had to choose between this or maid of the mist, I would recommend Cave of the Winds by far! It's expensive of course, but you can linger around the falls as long as you like and get absolutely drenched by going up close! Only thing I didn't love was the lame video they make you watch beforehand detailing how factories were removed from the area, supposedly to eliminate the commercialism. Umm...what exactly do they think they're doing today?!? Also the mention that the falls power electricity to the entire country. If that's the case then why do I have an electric bill?? They also show the original prices for the attraction which is a slap in the face compared to how expensive it is now. Still, it was an amazing experience that I would do again!
google avatar

Daryl P.

Yelp
Great attraction to visit anytime you are on the US side of the Falls. Grab a spot early in the morning and then explore the area for the sights, food, and other attractions. You can spend the whole day ending the state park along meeting new friend and experiencing all Canada has to offer.
google avatar

Deb M.

Yelp
Wow, even after reading reviews about how fun (and wet) this was I still was not prepared. What a blast, by far the favorite thing we did on our trip to the falls. What I couldn't get over was the beauty of it all. We were lucky to be there on a sunny day and I loved seeing all the rainbows. I thought ahead and got waterproof cases for our phones - thanks Amazon - and highly recommend doing that if you want to take pictures. I also highly recommend going all the way to the top platform. Why go and not experience everything! That was definitely the best part, going to the top is an experience in itself! I have never been so drenched in my life! Nobody in my group could stop smiling. If you're worried about it being slippery, it's not. They have strips on the stairs and rubber on the platforms. We went during the office season, after Labor Day and had no wait. Make sure this is on your to do list your next visit to the falls!!
google avatar

Nancy L.

Yelp
Amazing Experience!! Yes, you will get wet, but isn't that the point of getting this close to the falls?! (Disclaimer: probably best to keep the poncho on if visiting on a colder day because you will be soaked and freezing!) The views are breathtaking and the experience is unforgettable! We were "in the area" (500 miles away) and took the plunge and hit the road for this amazing experience. Would definitely do it all over again if ever in the East Coast again. It's an experience that doesn't get old and would love to visit time and time again!
google avatar

Gillian A.

Yelp
'Scuse my language, but I'm giving it more like a "holy sh*t!!" out of 10 because I kept saying that during my climb up the stairs, which was like trekking through a hefty windy rainstorm lol "ahhhhh why did I pay $21 for this D; ?!?!" /noregretsreally. At the top deck though it's more choose-your-adventure-ish as in you can either stand right in front of Bridal Veil Falls to face its full wrath or step to the side and just watch courageous people get fully drenched lol. Amazingly chaotic close-up views of the falls. The attraction is also quite informative showing a history video short before being granted admittance to the walkway (I didn't know that the Niagara Falls area was once rather ugly due to over-industrialization which later caused a "Free Niagara" movement that succeeded and allowed the falls to flow freely again). The name of the attraction is a bit of a misnomer; there used to be a cave-like feature here that allowed people to stand under the falls but that area is now collapsed. Overall I say that it's worth experiencing this attraction unless you can't walk up/down steps well (there's a considerable amount of steps here all of them being wet) and/or want to stay dry. Wearing non-slip sandals is *highly* recommended (unless you actually enjoy the feeling of wearing wet socks, blech!!).

Yelp
What a total waste of money. Before you make the mistake we made, read this first. If you go with your family, like I did, you'll save yourself $50 and ridicule by your loved ones! The entry fee pays for an elevator to the lower section of the American Falls. What the ticket person neglects to share is that the platform is under construction and the view is blocked from accessing or viewing in a meaningful way. Anyone going between November and May will experience this. How do we know this info? Because the kid working the elevator told us on the ride back up. Maybe he should work the ticket counter instead for potential visitors to make informed decisions. I recommend using your money on the observation deck a few minutes away (free) and then take the Maid of the Mist boat tour. Just not here.
google avatar

Nick P.

Yelp
Breath taking. They give you a poncho that you can keep. You'll get wet for sure. This and Maid of the Mist are absolute must do's while you're here.

Janet R.

Yelp
Definitely cool to walk up and see how strong the water is. I was disappointed that there is no cave. That was destroyed years ago. Still a neat experience. We didn't do the Canadian side so I can't compare to behind the falls experience
google avatar

George G.

Yelp
Went to the Caves as part of the Maid of the Mist Niagara Falls tour. The winds at the Cave were equal to hurricane force winds. The view were remarkable, as you are basically right on side or at times under the Falls. As you go further up, the views get better and you'll get soaked (they'll give you another poncho), but the experience and the adventure is worth it !! The wait wasn't long the day we went...always a bonus! There are a lot of steps (step counters will love the numbers for the day) as you go to each platform. This was an awesome experience... highly recommend taking this option when you schedule the tour. Must witness and feel the power of Mother Nature!!
google avatar

Greg W.

Yelp
Awesome way to experience Niagara Falls. They have really set up the state park nicely for walking and exploring. We went on a Thursday and it wasn't too crowded. Cave of the winds started with a quick film that talks about the history of Niagara Falls. Then you take an elevator down to the bottom of the falls. Then you walk a multi-leveled boardwalk that takes you right up to the falls. It was great that you can walk the boardwalk on your own at your own leisure. It feels surreal when you are so close to such a powerful landmark.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
I truly enjoyed the cave of the winds. The little museum and movie before the elevator was great. The picture quality in the eye machines was just phenomenal, crystal clear. When you're on the hurricane deck It feels like you are in it. The mist, the wind, the water the rainbows, the birds. It's like you can reach out reach out and touch the water. Make sure you wear good shoes that can get wet. There are a lot of steps, but they are optional

Rachel A.

Yelp
Stunning views and an amazing experience. Definitely be prepared to get wet. Sadly they lose 1 star as one of the male employees told me I should smile more
google avatar

Bill B.

Yelp
Again touristy but a good time You will get wet you will need to climb steps You may wish you had a full rain suit Wear shoes you don't mind getting wet They will give you disposable shoes The wait time will be long and you don't get in line until your reservation time It will sell out early Nice little movie about the history of Niagara
google avatar

Maronda H.

Yelp
I was a little nervous at first. But this was one of my favorite adventures in Niagara. Before going into the caves you sit and watch a short film. Than you wait for the elevators to take you down. There you are giving some water slippers and walk out to get a rain poncho. Than you walk through a cave to get out to the waterfalls. Such a beautiful scenery. I wasn't too fond of the seagulls. There were tons of seagulls flying over your head. Making loud noises. As we were walking towards the wooden stairs. I looked up and there was a rainbow over the water fall. This was an unforgettable experience I will never forget.
google avatar

Ruth H.

Yelp
Went here with my 6-year-old and it was so fun! Loved learning about the history of the falls. The area down below the elevators itself was so scary but fun (I am afraid of heights and was hanging on for dear life!). This is definitely worth doing at least once in your life. A fun adventure!
google avatar

Serge A.

Yelp
This was nice so much history. I learned the three names of the different falls. The names of the important people who pushed to create the hydropower. Nice photos too during the winter.

Sarah R.

Yelp
Please, save your $$ and do Maid of the Mist. Maid of The Mist is something to remember forever. Cave of The Winds is around the same price for so much less to do. The long wait has many stops. It can be frustrating. This is before you even see the falls. There is no longer a cave. Just a sad ugly tunnel. It is a long wait with a required movie and another wait just to get to Bridal Vail Falls. It was really fun to play in the mist , but no comparison to the boat tour. Better to do the boat twice than this.
google avatar

Humberto S.

Yelp
Incredible adventure!!! Only down side was that we had to trek for an ATM machine since internet was down. Other than that, getting up close and personal to the water falls was a once in a life time opportunity. The staff was kind and helped us securing panchos for the cave walk. Once at the falls, the fact we were so close, left this kid from the projects so awe struck. The elevators were not packed for a Thursday. Not as full as I thought it was gonna be. The area around was peaceful , the different bridges were a nice walk and Niagara people are some of the nicest around.
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
DO NOT MISS THIS! Everyone knows Maid of the Mist (also 5 stars), but Cave of the Winds is also an incredible and unique opportunity. This is the closest you'll get to the falls, and it's only about $20 for an adult. You can't purchase tickets ahead of time, so be there as soon as they open in the morning because tours sell out quickly. Once your time starts, you'll go through an exhibit, watch an interesting video about the history of the falls, then take an elevator to the base of the falls. You do get a very efficient poncho included. Once you're there, it's a series of boardwalks and stairs right on the falls that you can take at your own pace. It wasn't guided and there was no time limit. The ponchos do work well, but your head and shoes will likely be soaked. I can't recommend this enough. It should be added to any Niagara Falls itinerary.
google avatar

Kailyn L.

Yelp
Who'd ever thought that getting pounded on by billowing torrents could be so much fun? The Cave of the Winds experience definitely makes you feel like you are caught in the middle of a hurricane, but with a stunning view! After taking the elevator down, we were given a yellow poncho. There are a series of wooden walkway that you travel along, some of which bring you right underneath the Bridal Veil Falls. Honestly, do expect to be soaked after this experience even with the poncho, but the views are definitely worth it! I'd highly recommend bringing an extra pair of sandals/ slippers for this experience.
google avatar

Jeffrey G.

Yelp
Great visit, prepare to get wet. The food lines were always long, but the food wasbok. The line to go into the cave over an hour, butbits really worth it.
google avatar

Tati R.

Yelp
Amazing experience. I loved it so much. The cost is about $19 for adults and about $14 for kids. There was a line but it went quick. You are able to pick a time slot. Once you enter into the building there is a museum on the history of the falls and then you watch a small video about the waterfalls. You then will exit and get a poncho; that is when the real fun begins. There are stairs to go up and down. The further up the waterfall you climb; the more you will get wet. There is a section called hurricane and it is the most wind and water of the whole experience. Some tips are to wear the poncho from the maid of the mist (if you go to that experience first), wear shoes that are able to get wet (no socks), dress lightly, waterproof your cameras and/ or phones and most importantly have fun. *PS you will get soaked*
google avatar

Hayle W.

Yelp
Awesome once in a lifetime experience. Would recommend this to anyone. We did the tour part first, our guide Michael was absolutely incredible. Easily the best experience ever!!!
google avatar

Megan B.

Yelp
This is a must do if you want an exhilarating Niagara Falls experience! To get the best experience you will get absolutely soaked- especially if you wear one of the provided ponchos. A word on the ponchos- my 200lb husband could barely fit into it and they tear easily. I recommend bringing your own rain gear or doing Maid of the Mist first and wearing that poncho. Also wear water proof shoes- it felt slippery in one spot but overall wasn't bad. We went on a Monday while it was raining and there was no wait! The film beforehand was very entertaining and interesting. Afterwards you take an elevator down to the steps. There are a lot of steps. Make sure to go on the hurricane deck to feel the thunder of the falls! Memories we will never forget!
google avatar

Wolfy H.

Yelp
It's $21 to do this tour... you basically watch a 7 minute historical video and then take an elevator to the observation area. It is a short walk and there are stairs to the different viewing areas. They do provide a poncho. It is a quick tour, a tad cheesy, there's no tour guide, and it's kinda pricey but if you are like us and this is your one time at Niagara Falls then this was totally worth the money to be able to be below the falls... it was super fun and I would gladly do it all over again!
google avatar

Araya M.

Yelp
1. Get croc shoes!! You need it otherwise whatever you wear will get wet!!! 2. Amazing experience for our lives time! You can get that close to the falls!! Soaking wet even tho u got rain coat with the $19 ticket. 3. Hot staffs! They all r friendly from the girl at the check in ticket to the guys on all spot. 4. Be ready to get wet. 5. When you go to the Niagara Falls , it's a must place to spent your $19 !! 6. Gigantic beautiful water falls you have to see it I can't explain! You get to walk around the trail up and down as close as you can get to the waterfall

Jessica N.

Yelp
My only issue is there were too many people per elevator. I understand why they do it but it was packed and I panicked a little at the idea of being packed in and getting stuck. The walk was awesome . The falls fell which was great . We really enjoyed our time at Cave of the winds .
google avatar

Beccy K.

Yelp
This was an amazing experience and well worth our money and time! You will get soaked but it's an exhilarating experience! Thankfully, we were given both rain ponchos and shoes. The water shoes have grippers on the bottom and are very comfortable. (Now deemed our "vacation shoes") There is a lot of climbing so be prepared. Your feet will be chilled by the water rushing over them. You have the option of getting as close as you want to the Falls, even close enough to experience the hurricane strength winds. As you walk to the Falls, you will pass a habitat for seabirds. We saw many babies which was sweet! It does smell like sea life so be prepared if sensitive to that. We were shown a quick movie when we entered about the history of the area. Sadly, our time in the first historical area was cut short by our tour guide. If you aren't sure about the cost, just do it!
google avatar

Rachel Macie H.

Yelp
Did someone say a Cave? You so know by just that I'm in as I love going underground this cave however comes complete with an elevator and a pair of sandals! So a pair of sandals to go through a cave with sounds sketchy right but here you'll be thankful you have them as if you were to wear shoes they would be totally soaked and ruined! Once you enter the Q line for the cave your directed to a room with some history about the falls as well as the area in general after this fun filled room it's showtime as in a short film before your handed a pair of sandals and then it's on! So after a short walk you are in the elevator and down to the cave to get your poncho to see the falls up close basically at this point it's a balcony type trail over to the falls where you can GET WET! This was such a cool experience being up close like this and feeling the super cold water of the galls as it rushed over your feet! Overall you really can't go wrong with this experience as it's super cool very wet and just beautiful so much so it comes with a sandals souvenir!
google avatar

Gary Y.

Yelp
Quite an epic experience and definitely worth the visit (especially on a hot summer day). It offers amazing views of the American Falls from the ground up. There will be lots of water sprays and mists along the way so will cool you off if it's a hot day. They also have a brief educational video in the beginning of the visit on Niagara Falls that I found to be quite enlightening. Note - you'll likely get wet if you choose to venture to the top, disregarding the rain poncho that comes with the self-tour.
google avatar

Kim D.

Yelp
Experience of a lifetime. Completely drenched and happy. You don't notice the 220 steps - you're too busy with the wind and water.
google avatar

Ann Nicole A.

Yelp
Loveeeeee Cave of The Winds! There was even a rainbow when I went which made the views spectacular. It was such a great experience being able to be close to the falls. There are boardwalks and stairs around the falls where you have to be very careful not to slip. You will get a poncho, but does not really protect your head especially when it gets windy. Wear clothes and shoes that you dont mind getting wet. If you want to get super wet, make sure to go to the 'Hurricane" area and take great pictures! Definitely recommend it!
google avatar

Lizzie B.

Yelp
This was a fun attraction at Niagara Falls. They give you a large poncho and you walk on wooden steps/decking underneath and behind the falls. You do get wet and it is very windy. There are lots of birds nesting and living in the rocks, which you get to see up close. Just looking at the falls from the different viewpoints, you wouldn't know the amount of birds that are really there living right at the falls. It was very fun and I'd definitely recommend others to take this tour.
google avatar

Jovete E.

Yelp
I've always had Niagara Falls on my bucket list and we finally got to experience it! This made my heart so happy. It's unreal and bigger than I expected. This tour brings you up close to the thunderous, cascading waters. Make sure you secure your electronics, especially your phone if it isn't waterproof because you're going to get SOAKED!!! This exciting tour started off with a short film about the history of Niagara Falls and hydroelectricity. After that, you take an elevator down 175 feet into the Niagara Gorge and then a short walk through wooden walkways that put you within feet of the Bridal Veil Falls. I repeat - This tour gets your soaked and if you walk up the wooden stairs. It seems, the higher you walk up, the more soaked you'll get. Good thing is, this tour provides you with a hooded raincoat and sandals. I liked how you can take as much time as you want wandering around and enjoying the force of this natural wonder. You have to do the Cave of the Winds.... Amazing! Not like anything I've done before. Tips: -Be prepared to get WET -Bring extra clothes -Secure your electronics -Great for all ages

Cristina R.

Yelp
One of the best experiences I've ever had! I highly recommend! If you're debating between this and Maid of Mist, definitely choose cave of the winds! You get to walk up close to the falls and soak in all its beauty. They also provide you with sandals and a poncho which is a nice touch! I also appreciate that entrances are times so you're not standing around in line for hours like Maid of the Mist. I went on a weekend and purchased tickets for next available time which was in 3 hours. That gave me time to walk around more and grab something to eat. Much more enjoyable experience. Also went back during the week and there was no line or wait!

Werner A.

Yelp
Excellent. The best part of the trip!!! They only provide plastic poncho but no sandals. Advices: Even if cold take sandals or wet shoes, better if you have dry shoes ready when done. Also, to avoid the long lines buy your tickets at 8:30 sharp, they open at nine.

Jessica S.

Yelp
This may be a one-and-done situation for me. It was obviously an experience like no other. If it's your first time visiting the Falls, it's definitely worth doing at least once, but having done it now, I don't know if I'll do it again. This one is certainly not for the views or for good pictures. This experience is simply to feel the force and power of the falls as it is hard to really see anything when there. I wear glasses and I could not see anything at all. If you have the ability to, I would avoid wearing glasses. This attraction is also not very accessible. Going down to the top level is fine as you simply take the elevator, but to go to any of the other platforms, the stairs are steep and a bit scary. Overall, I do not regret doing this attraction at all. It was definitely one I'll never forgot, and I would recommend doing it at least once, but I don't know if I'll be back, I'd rather visit the many other viewing locations

Carla D.

Yelp
Once in a lifetime experience!! It was amazing. I just wanted to shout out our guide Peter, an older fellow with colored eyes. He was so kind hearted and very welcoming. He greeted us at the Cave of Winds entry after our tour with Angela on Lady of the Mist. Both guides were amazing! Thank you from your fellow California tourists.
google avatar

Lorena C.

Yelp
This was such a cool experience, we really enjoyed being up close and personal to the falls. We were able to get really picture and just really soak it all up literally. If you are thinking about it - just do it! 10/10

Yelp
This was magical. My wife and I took our daughter to experience the literal hurricane force water and winds. She got such a kick out of it. We still got wet even with the ponchos. This experience was worth it!!

Yelp
This was actually fun and educational. We walked into a history of the falls from the 1800's to present. The movie was able to keep everyone's attention and the museum was also pretty nice. After the movie we were asked if we wanted pictures which were pricey to us ($50) for two photos. The tour comes with a rain coat and shoes. We were given a bag to place our regular shoes in. We than took a elevator ride down to the caves. Where we learned that the cave was chiseled out by hand and not by dynamite. You will get wet but not in a soaked way! The water and mist will hit you. The views are priceless, you will see rainbows. The photo opportunities are endless. We truly enjoyed this as well.

Yelp
Epic! Amazing! Incredible! We absolutely loved this experience. Initially we were surprised by the $19 fee, but when we realized they provide sandals (cheap ones, but sandals nonetheless) and a poncho, it really wasn't a bad price. There's a silly little mini film about the history of hydro-electric power in the Niagara Falls area (which is mandatory before entering), which was kind of kitchy and hokey, but it was boring or bad - just not my thing. There's what seems like a seagull sanctuary along the river to your left as you walk toward the entrance, which was interesting, but smells...well...I guess "natural" for the environment of thousands of seagulls and their babies. Once we entered the walking decks it just gets better and better. The incredible power and wind is frankly amazing! We've been to Hawaii and been underneath waterfalls but nothing of this power or magnitude. It was truly beyond what we could have imagined. You will get wet and likely soaked, but it's worth very inconvenience. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to feel the energy and power if the Falls.

Yelp
Go, go, go!!!!! Wow! This was absolutely breathtaking! My husband and I were headed to Niagara Falls Ontario so before crossing the border into Canada we made a stop at the state park. What an amazing find! Upon entering we were seated in a theater which went over the history of the falls and the usage of hydroelectricity. After the short film we were given a poncho and waterproof sandals (my husband and I wore these sandals pretty much throughout our honeymoon especially for the other water excursions! So useful!). There is a line to actually get to the falls but once you get there it is breathtaking!! Be prepared to get soaked! Out of all the excursions I think this is one where you can get the most wet as you can get up close and personal with the bridal veil falls! It looked like a scene from the hobbit honestly so amazing how it's all laid out with the platforms. We got some great pictures and videos of these falls! Check out the state park too it's surely a sight to see!

Yelp
Fun place to go, though to you actually don't get to go under the fall if you get to go next to them and feel the water hit you.
