The size of it is just nice. A very kids and family friendly park to hang out with the kangaroos. It has wide variety of animals. And we could easily get in touch with the kangaroos. YOU CAN FEED THE KANGAROO Well, Koalas being koalas, they don’t bother to even move an inch…. Interesting place!

Ashlee K.

Google
Such a wonderful place to explore and learn more about Australian wildlife! I truly enjoyed every moment - especially getting to meet a wombat (!!) and even hold a snake! Wandering through the open areas with kangaroos just lazing about. The park has plenty of quiet, peaceful spots to pause between exploring, which makes the whole trek feel relaxed and enjoyable. It’s such a serene, beautiful way to see and learn about our wildlife up close. A wholesome, memorable experience - highly recommend! 🦘🌿

Google
Fantastic experience at Caversham Wildlife Park. The free train service around the park was a great touch and very helpful for families. We also did the self cycling adventure, which was a highlight for us — riding around with my wife and our 4-year-old daughter was both fun and relaxing. Well maintained, family-friendly, and definitely worth visiting again.

Google
Just got back from visiting that wildlife park in Perth, and wow, it was awesome! The place is really well-maintained, and it's easy to get around with the kids. I particularly loved the kangaroo feeding; it was such a cool experience getting up close to them. The staff were super friendly allowing the kids to touch and carry some of the reptiles. The kids absolutely loved it too, and were so excited. Honestly, there's so much to see and do there; you could easily spend a whole day. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area! It's a great day out for the whole family, and you can take some amazing pictures. Just note that it's going to be very crowded on the weekend.

Google
Very nice place to quickly see a big variety of local species and even being able to touch some of them. Having pictures with koala or wombat, walk across some kangaroos etc.. you have a picnic zone with bench and tables where you can have your own meal or a canteen selling several dishes (hot or cold) which are simple and affordable. Nice place to spend a family day. Worth visiting the farm zone with the show explaining the sheep & wool etc.. well organised structure.

Steph

Google
A must-visit when you’re in Perth! Make sure to go early if you want the Hug-a-Koala ticket — I arrived at 10:45am on a Monday and could only get the photo with the wombat. Still, the koalas were absolutely adorable and the wombats were so relaxed and funny. I loved the farm show too — very well organised, engaging, and fun for all ages. Definitely recommended for anyone interested in seeing and learning about Australian animals.

Google
Caversham Wildlife Park is privately owned and does not receive government funding, yet it is exceptionally well-organized, clean, and run by friendly staff. Although it is a wildlife park, it feels more like a zoo to me. Admission is $36 for adults, $17 for children, and $27 for students and seniors. We visited as a family on a weekday and had a great time exploring. There are plenty of benches to rest on and vending machines for drinks. Don't miss the farm show; it's a highlight for kids! You can also feed animals like kangaroos and penguins at no extra cost. However, there are additional fees for photos: $10 for a wombat photo and $35 for a koala hug. Overall, it’s a beautiful place and well worth the visit if you love animals."

Google
This park is fabulous. So many animals to see and the park is lovely to explore. It's well set out with the paths taking you off on little loops to see the animals. It was lovely getting to pat and interact with the kangaroos and my son was absolutely delighted to be able to meet Jessie the wombat and have a photo with her. The highlight of our perth trip.

Yelp
This is a must for people visiting Australia. The park is located about 40 minutes from Perth and strongly suggest getting there early when it opens and avoid weekends. We got to feed and pet kangaroos and see koalas, wombats and so many other unique birds and animals. Where else can one feed 'roos? It was a very positive experience.

Yelp
A top tourist attraction in WA! Buy admission tickets online in advance or get there early in the morning when they first open to avoid the long line. They are open every day of the year except for Christmas Day. Admission tickets are $35 AUD for adults or $16 AUD for children aged 3-14. They have animal meet and greets with specific times posted online. You can also pay an additional $35 per person to hold a koala or $10 per person to sit next to a wombat. Both add-ons are recommended if you are visiting the area or never seen the animals in person before. They only sell the koala hold and wombat tickets in person the day of, so again it is best to get to the wildlife park early in the day. The staff were friendly and the animals seemed well cared for. Absolutely loved getting to see all of the animals and little joeys!

Yelp
Location: outskirts of Perth City Parking or Transportation: plentiful spots to park. Uber will be best rather than the train Verdict: Entrance fee was $32 for adults. I came in not expecting a lot but was completely surprised with the experience and the different animals found in the park. The Kangaroos were available to take pictures close up and can be pet by both kids and kids at heart. The koalas were also available for pictures close up and for an additional fee were available to be cuddled and it was pretty reasonable price. Wombat was also available for pictures. All of the animals were friendly and available for pictures It was a great way to spend a half day or a day in Perth

Yelp
This is the first thing we did on our first day in Perth, go see and get up close to koalas and kangaroos! Aside from the koalas and kangaroos we also watched a farm show (cattle dogs, goats, milking the cow, how to throw a lasso and sheep shearing and many more). We also saw reptiles, birds, bats, penguins, black swan, didn't see a Tasmanian devil. Caversham Wildlife Park is worth your money. Young and old will enjoy this different experience.

Yelp
If you are visiting Perth, and you are looking to see some of the most amazing indigenous animal species that inhabit the Australian continent this is the place to visit. The wildlife center has an excellent selection of kangaroos, Koalas, birds, lizards, and much more. In the kangaroo petting area I finally met and stroked a kangaroo. They are the weirdest of creatures, say no more. A park warden told me that all the animals in the petting area, that is a favorite with children, are raised around humans and are very tame, as I saw for myself. Definitely an enjoyable place to visit and experience the animals close up.

Yelp
If I could double the stars, I would because this place is just awesome!! While I'm usually hesitant to frequent non-AZA zoos, this little park had incredible, clean enclosures and well-adjusted residents. This place boasts amazing l, knowledgeable staff, encounters with animals, and a kangaroo feeding that blew my socks off. We got to hand feed kangaroo and wallaby (even the moms with joeys came for some snacks) and touch a wombat, koala, possums and lizards. The animals were very well cared for and the staff seemed incredibly passionate about their animals. They even took photos (which they use your device-no additional charges) of ya with a good deal of animals. While it's off the beaten path, we used Transperth (transit system) to get there. It was so worth the effort!!

Yelp
If you want to get up close and personal with some of australia's most iconic animals; this is the place to go to! The wildlife park is not very difficult to find--basically a long road off the main roads u follow to the end. We got to the wildlife park at around 2:30pm. We saw that the koala feeding time was till 3pm, so we headed straight there. Their exhibit is being renovated at the moment (it says it is going to reopen around the end of the year). After that, we went into the kangaroo exhibit (which takes up most of the park. By this time of the day, many folks have already passed by and fed the kangaroos. I recommend going towards the back of the area past the overhead bridge. (We assume that people only hung out toward the front by the feed). Most of the kangaroos in the back seemed more willing to accept food. Overall, this was a must see, must do thing while in the area. I would definitely go again if i could!

Yelp
A quintessential Australia experience - if you have visitors who want to pet/feed a kangaroo and hold a koala, take them here! An incredibly beautiful and lush park about 30 mins from Perth, as you enter you feel transported to 'real Australia' with all native animals and reptiles at arms length. My advice - don't rush, at least plan to spend 3 hours here. Feeding the kangaroos alone can easily take up an hour as it's addictive and so fun. Make note of koala feeding times (finish at 4.30pm daily) and buy a souvenir from the well-curated gift shop on the way out. It's the only place I've seen a quokka toy outside of Rottnest Island. Note: park closes 5.30pm, gate to park closes at 6pm - don't get locked in!

Yelp
We had visitors over from the UK last weekend so we took them to Caversham, it is kind of the thing to do when we have people over. It is always a good day and they love getting to see all the native Australian animals. The in a walk in area and kangaroos are out in the open and you can stroke and feed them. It is actually quite nice. They have birds, koalas, crocodiles, wombats, emus and a load of other things. It is set out nicely, it isn't a real wildlife park, it feels more like a zoo, all the animals in cages. It is a good day out for a tourist, but I have to detach myself from the animals, other wise I get angry that they are put in cages. I won't go into that.

Yelp
Not a big fan of zoos or animals in captivity. Generally the animals are lethargic and its sad to see them in an unnatural state. While I'm here in Australia, there are some things I must do for the sake of my relatives - pet a koala/kangaroo/random Australian animal...so for their sake I visited the Caversham Wildlife Park. To say the animals were lethargic is an understatement considering koalas are known to sleep for 20+hours! Sadly many of the tourists were talking loudly and petting the animals despite the animals sleeping. Some even attempted to pick up the kangaroos and were subsequently scolded by the park workers. Great place for kids and families (and big kids who need to see koalas and kangaroos up close).

Yelp
Being Perth born I was so impressed and proud of Caversham Wildlife Park when I visited it a few months ago. The animals are well cared for and the facilities well maintained, it is a clean park. The park houses a number of native Australian animals and birds. The park also has a walk through 100% interactive Kangaroo enclosure where you can spend all day with the kangaroos if you wanted too. You can feed and touch the kangaroos and take many photos of them. You can bring a picnic and easily spend the day at the park as there is an undercover picnic bench area as well as an area in the sun. Be sure to bring sunscreen. There is a little kiosk and a souvenir shop and I have to say one of the best souvenir shops in Perth as you can find some stuff actually produced and made in Australia. Other animals i enjoyed seeing were the owls, the The Blue-winged Kookaburra ( have never seen the blue winged ones!!!) and the The Blue-winged Kookaburra. We missed the Lhama and the dingo as we were on a tight schedule. For the kids there is a baby farm where you can meet some of the farm animals. Across from the car park and outside of the grounds is a cafe and large picnic park.

Yelp
My first time at Caversham was when I had just arrived in Perth and hadn't seen any native Australian wildlife yet, so my friends and I decided that it was about time we saw some kangaroos and koalas and got going to the wildlife park. As a foreigner it was a great experience; being able to get so close to the kangaroos and pet them but I was very astonished by how unfazed they were with all the touching and found it quite bizarre that they weren't moving very much - I guess that's what captivity does to you, nevertheless I was extremely excited and overwhelmed by the experience. Then we stroked koalas, saw a lot of bird life, got introduced to a baby wombat and pet many other lovely animals. This is really a great place to bring children and friends from overseas who won't get the opportunity to see these animals in their natural habitat - although it's much nicer, it's a fun and social day out and you get to see the wonderful Australian wildlife.

Yelp
I haven't gone to many wildlife parks recently but if they're anything like the Caversham Park I'd think about going more often. This place is totally worth the price of admission! You are able to get close to most animals here and feed them! All the animals I was able to get contact were very friendly and you need not to be worried. Loved the Kangaroos and feel free to ask questions so you can to know a little more about them cause is didn't realize there were different breeds and such. Trainers here were very friendly. Make sure to catch every show since they are all staggered and everyone will get their chance to take their photos with the animals. Highly recommend visiting this park! Prolly the highlight of my visit to Perth! Besides seeing family . Enjoy!

Yelp
We loved coming here mainly because of the kangaroos!!! It's definitely a tourist place, and as a tourist, I loved being able to interact with animals. It's something you don't get to do in the US. We saw so many animals that are native to Australia that we don't always get to see at home. We got to pet kangaroos, koalas, lizards, possums, and a wombat. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Make sure you wear lots of sunblock and bring water. Not every area is shaded and it can get very hot. If you can go on a cooler day, the animals will be more active.

Yelp
Visited this wildlife sanctuary three times, first time with immediate family and last two with relatives. This park showcases the majority of Australia's famous wildlife, from kangaroos and koalas to echidnas and dingoes. One animal is missing though: The platypus. The park also houses various kinds of birds and farm animals. Visitors can feed and touch the kangaroos as well as stroke the back of a koala. In addition, there are several shows available at specific times. One of them is Molly's Farm, which includes sheep shearing and cow milking, among other Aussie farm activities. Visitors can have a go at cracking the whip and milking the cow. The park also has a gift shop which sells slightly expensive souvenirs. If you are looking for lower prices, you may want to try Fremantle Markets instead.

Yelp
Take this review from a tourist that has spent most of his life in the American continent (North and South America), You will LOVE Caversham 's. Especially if it is your first time mingling with the beautiful Australian Flora and Fauna. Delight yourself with the different kinds of birds everywhere and the many lovely plants that I had not seen in any other place. Really. Check out Australia's authentic wallaby's (Cool tiny marsupials that are like kangaroo meets hare and rush through procreation to end up with the wallaby) The kangaroos are freaking awesome, the Koalas are the sweetest things to see, the possums are cool, the wombats are sooo coool! and all the other animals, including the "farm" animals, that although I've seen them before, it was so cool to be in their areas and walk with them, and play with them and all that fun stuff. The great thing about this park is that it has big free areas where you can roam with the animals. There's a huge middle field where the kangaroos are free to run around, with all of us visitors IN IT!! That's right!! you get to play and touch and feed kangaroos! its soo cool! you can be stuck there for hours during your first visit! they are all so chill! and there's no strong regulations there. You get to touch Koalas and Wombats and get really close to them and take pictures and what not. You get to play inside the big area where the sheeps, goats, and other little animals are. You get to play and touch all the animals there! its so fun! :) Also they have shows in which they show some animals like the big wombat, and some owls that were awesome. In all honesty, the park was nice. You can finish it all in like 3-4 hours. Their webpage is really helpful. You pay only at the entrance. It was like 23 for adults (15+) and 16 or so for students with a concessions card (Has to be from WA). The staff was nice, always offering to take pictures for you, telling you how to pet some animals. The little ecosystems built for each type of animals were good. The spaces were also good, and it seemed like the animals were cool. Some of them seem a bit underfed, but none of them looked mistreated as one the reviews mentioned, although I do not know anything about the park, as I'm just visiting. To me, my experience was great and wish they had some sort of season pass to go there once a week haha. jk. but seriously. Go have some fun, especially if you are a tourist, and an animal lover.

Yelp
If you have guests over from out of town, or children, or you just want a different day out; Caversham wildlife park is a great way to go, especially if you will be touring swan valley before or after. Its entry fee of $27 might seem steep but it includes the farm show, and petting all the animals you can handle. It is good value and is a fun day out. There is quite a wide range of animals from around Australia represented here. There is a large group of kangaroos in the middle of the park, including albino ones. Really tame and willing to take photos with you. Feed is available for free so the Roos also tend to seem overfed and ready to sleep. The farm show includes a demonstration of a working sheep dog, shearing a sheep, milking a cow, cracking a whip and turning a billy can. Slap on sunscreen, whack on a hat and drink lots of water to stay cool and hydrated.

Gokhan D.

Yelp
I took my mum here to see only kangaroos and joes. It offers more than that. You can find out more about Australian wildlife and the oz animals. BUT the animals did not seem normal to me. Especially owls, they had no reaction as I was getting close to them. Some gooses had no pool as they need water always... They said you cannot touch the eucalyptis trees because koalas do not eat once it has been touched however, the guy who feed the koalas, carried the tree without gloves on...
google avatar

Nick G.

Yelp
Much better than perth zoo if you want to get up and close with the animals! Very small but packed full of great experiences! You can feed the Kangaroos, stroke the koalas and see the range of animals in between. The farm show is also worth a watch to cap the end of the day. Make sure you arrange your day around the timings of the animal experiences as I'm sure during certain times of the year it gets extremely busy!

Christopher B.

Yelp
From a tourists point-of-view, Caversham is an excellent wildlife park! You actually get to come up close to (and even pet) kangaroo's, wombats, and koalas. There is plenty to see beyond those critters. I wasn't too impressed with the kangaroo hides in the respective store (and I'm not talking about the quality), but other than that, it was a great experience!!!
google avatar

Nine A.

Yelp
Great place to take the kids to view and learn about the Australian wildlife! Kids loved to walk with and feed the kangaroo's. Make sure you go there early as the animals get stuffed and sleepy by lunch time :-) Animal farm show was great - educational and entertaining. Again kids preferred when they could interact with the animals. Great souvernir shop on the way out. Recommend to eat at some of the nearby wineries instead of the chips and burger place located near the parking area....
google avatar

Trish W.

Yelp
First time to Oz first time here loved all the exhibits? With all the different animals. I was disappointed to see the Kangaroos were very placid & appeared to be feed to the point of not moving. It was the only thing that I didn't like about the experience. Loved getting up close with the koalas. Seeing all the different varieties of birds & snakes
google avatar

Dan E.

Yelp
Very small and a little out there, but overall, what a great experience for a tourist like me wanting to meet (and I didn't realize) prt koalas and feed kangaroos and similar marsupials! There are some pretty neat exhibits of other animals in a "traditional" zoo setting as well including dingos and sugar gliders as well as some neat bat exhibits (check out the feeding!). Overall, what a neat place to see a lot of the native Australian wildlife up close and personal.
google avatar

Yelp
Anyone with a shred of decency in them should avoid Caversham Wildlife Park at all costs. On the surface it's your typical touristy location - Aussie animals to look at, cutesy shops and bbq areas etc, etc. And indeed it is a MASSIVE tourist attraction in Perth. But for reasons I can't explain, I happen to have a bit of insider information on Caversham - specifically how they treat their animals behind closed doors. There's only one word for it: shameful. Just good enough to avoid the RSPCA removing the animals by force - only JUST, and there's a hell of a lot the RSPCA and the Australian public don't know. So don't support Caversham. It doesn't deserve it.
google avatar

Ravi R.

Yelp
Very huge wildlife park 45 mins drive from Perth CBD. A must go place if you want to see some australian wildlife from up close. They have koala and kangaroo feedings and you can hold a koala to take a picture. There are quite a few BBQs available for picnics. There is tram and small steam engine train in the park too which take you around to different points of interest. Or you can hire push bikes/trikes to go around. There are a few food options available in the park too. You can easily spend half a day there so plan accordingly.
google avatar

Matt G.

Yelp
Great place to take toddlers. All Australian animals in this wildlife park with plenty of space for the kids to explore. Good restaurant facilities with a variety of foods available, or just bring your own. Up close and personal with the kangaroos is a real treat for the kids.
google avatar

Bec S.

Yelp
Perfect loaction for a day out, be it a stroll around the wildlife park or taking the dogs to the dog park followed by lunch at the cafe, which allows dogs in the undercover outdoor seating area.
google avatar

Taz D.

Yelp
hmm. . . maybe being an aussie somewhat tarnishes the rose coloured glasses that caversham has for some? The park is in a beautiful setting, (I can't rave enough about how much I love Whiteman park) but perhaps for that reason I was a little bit disappointed about the enclosures. i understand the practicalities of the cages- as much to protect the animals as they are to contain them, but I found the space to be a tad confined for my liking. Like most animal parks, the animals are fairly tame and happy to nuzzle into recognised bags for pellets and any edible goodies you may have stashed on yourself. The roos looked quite relaxed as did the majority of the animals there and it was pretty much a run of the mill native aussie animal showcase. For almost $25 for adults and $10 for kids this is very much a novelty expedition so worthwhile getting your moneys' worth by getting in early (like 11:ish) and sticking around for the shows where you can get up close with the wombats and snakes should you so choose.

Yelp
Amazing! Had a fabulous day here with my husband. Highly recommended for tourists and locals alike.
