I just stopped by since I saw there is a new place in town. The caviar looked amazing wow. I've been to several delis in my life and this one's by far The best one I've been through. The variety of middle Eastern and Russian dishes and sweets is outstanding. I would recommend anyone in the area to stop by at least to take a look. When I was there his coffee machine was not up yet by looking forward to drinking his Armenian coffee.

So good!!! Perfect spot for old-world home cooking and baked goods. Bread was still hot from the oven and every dish I've tried is fresh and clearly made with loving care!

I was looking for a specific item and after browsing the internet I found it could be found in the European or russian stores. And this store came first in the search. So I decided to visit this store first. The disappointment started right from the door. It look like a store which getting prepared to go out of business. Half empty shelves, products with not a first day freshness and not in best condition. Some expired. The atmosphere wasn't any better. Sad as it can be. No greetings, no help offers. The look in the eyes of person being the counter - "ask me if you dare!". And I didn't dare. Just left and drove to another store "Tashkent" which is few minutes away, and was greeted from the door like they was waiting for me. The shelves was loaded with fresh products and I found what I was looking for in pristine condition and with not expired date. Of course it's your choice, but take my word and get the best.

Great homemade Romanian food. The mititei, sarmale (varza), iahnie, salata de vinete and boeuf were all very good, tasted just like back home. We'll be back soon. Folks, if you want Romanian food, this is the place. Many thanks.

The place is a gem! Just moved to the area and I’ve been there a few times already. They have delicious homemade Eastern Euro food and products from Bulgaria, Romania, Russia, etc. Try out their fresh sausages!

Discovered this place about one year ago. They make delicious dishes and have an amazing selection of fresh produce. But best of all is their Caviar: priced right and always fresh and available. Truly a gem and not just for the neighborhood.

I've been coming here for years and I've never had a bad experience. I am a chef and always come here for caviar and ingredients that I use for my buisness. Yes the price of caviar has gone up... but how can you blame them when the price of seafood everywhere has gone up. I should know.. I shop ingredients for a living. It's still very reasonable compared to other caviar places. And the caviar is frozen but once again.. how can you blame them?? In this economy people are not rushing to drop hundreds of dollars a mouthful of fish eggs and I would RATHER buy frozen caviar that's been frozen FRESH than something sitting around and going bad. I've had their best caviar three times and the quality for the price was great.

Best place to buy real Kaluga Osetra caviar. Most Armenian and Caucasian food specialties. Nice staff and very good grocery section. Prices for the caviar are very reasonable (cheap).

The most wonderful gem in the valley. I just finished a wonderful snack of fresh cream, caviar and blini while my toddler chows down on cheese and crackers. My house is a mess, my hair in rollers, toys everywhere but this was totally a moment in heaven. Why wait for a special occasion when you deserve lovely moments right now. The lady at the grocery let me taste the caviar to choose the one I liked. I got some hot meals for lunch that tasted home made. Not too salty. Fresh. Much more affordable than crappy mass made Uber eats order. The baba ganoush was so good. She was so kind to my daughter. Will definitely come back again!

We are caviar lovers and always buy it i got 2 oz of black caviar yesterday from this store and it tasted so bad had an old taste to it had to throw it out. Also just opened the breakfast cream I bought and it has mold in it

Great service, delicious food and try before you buy caviar. They also have amazing freshly baked dark bread. The place is tiny but mighty.

Beware, new owners, Caviar prices have basically doubled!!! looks the same but really expensive.

Chinese Caviar, cheap price and tastes like mold and cheap tasting, I guess you get what you pay for !! Not worth even the cheap price !!

I came in to look at the caviar selection and pricing and met Vic who handles all things caviar here. He gave me a taste and a generous sample to take to my caviar obsessed boss to try. The service is warm, friendly and so helpful. The store is very clean and well stocked with fresh produce that looked really good, lots of canned items, fresh breads, so many different kinds of cheeses and meats and most of all their deli case. The prepared foods all looked wonderful and something I will go back and try soon. I've been going to Odessa down the street and never again. I'm all about supporting small, family run businesses who provide great services and products and appreciate their customers by simply being nice! I will definitely come back soon.

Great little neighborhood grocery store. The only thing I have purchased here was caviar and it was good. The store is very clean, staff is nice and helpful. Tiny sidewalk eating area to munch real quick or chill and have a cup of tea. The prepared food looks amazing and freshly cooked. I definitely recommend everyone living in the area to try them out for themselves and if you want some OG Russian deli joints this is the spot. This market is Def off the hinges BANGIN.

I am from Eastern Europe. Always looking for the tastes of my childhood. I tried the stuffed cabbage (pretty good) and the eggplant salad (delicious.) service was polite and helpful.

Stopped in for the first time looking for lunch. Received a sarcastic greeting upon entry. Asked if they had a menu and if they served sandwiches. Seemingly fair questions to ask a "deli" with a picture of a sandwich on their storefront. Young, thin, light-eyed female employee with dark brown hair and Armenian/Russian accent smirked at, laughed at, and belittled every question I asked and comment I made. Her obnoxious personality completely turned me off from buying anything. I left the store needlessly pissed off. Will never go back and make it a personal mission to stop anyone I know from visiting. Bought food from Joe Peep's across the street. Zero stars.

This is one of my new favorite places to go. Prices are reasonable and there is a good variety of items. They have produce, smoked fish, meats, pantry items, desserts...you name it! (Be sure to take a look around and in all the refrigerators, too) I have tried many of the prepared foods and so far my favorites are the crab cake, the vegetarian stuffed cabbage, and the spinach and labneh, but many others were good as well. I am also obsessed with their brown bread which they make themselves. Eaten with a bit of their lox or with some taramosalata or caviar cream...yum. Workers there have been nice and helpful. Keep an open mind, ask them questions if you have, and go try some new and perhaps unfamiliar to you foods! Parking lot in back is easy, then you can enter through back door.

Their bread is 10/10 and the spreads and prepared foods are delicious! It is my favorite neighborhood deli. Also, the desserts are to die for, I would eat all those elaborate cakes all day long if I could.

Yeah...no, don't buy caviar here. Bad quality. I know caviar, and theirs is not good. They have it in a big tin that is not kept very cold, which caviar should be kept. Ossetra is a pretty decent caviar, but this one was not up to snuff. It was mushy, caviar should be plumb, and pop in your mouth. Would never buy from there again. So, just warning anyone who wants to buy caviar, do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.

Came in a few months ago after a friend sang their praises. They completely lived up to what my friend said, and the ladies that assisted me were spectacular. I came in hungry, so I got a small to medium sized portion of a few different dishes. Everything was delicious. I'll be back soon. Note to those coming in for the first time: it's deli counter homemade food, in a small grocery store. There are tables outside. It's not a sit down, order, and get served type of place.

Though I was sad to see Marv's go after nearly 50 years, it is a delightful, Russian deli that has entered and renewed the space on Magnolia. With a fantastic array of Russian specialities (Borscht, pickled herring, smoked fish) both hot & cold, you can pick up a meal on your way home - or just a snack to munch in the car. I tried their smoked salmon and it was divine; the escolar is surprisingly good. . .and of course the deli meats. With nearly a dozen types of cured meats - and just as many ready to be sliced - they can provide all of your protein cravings. And the caviar! Ossetra & beluga tins, salmon roe, a handful of red and black fish eggs, they really emphasize why they chose the name for the Deli. The employees are great and the store is clean and has great eye-appeal. Stop by; support local business. It's a great spot.

I was expecting a better selection of prepared foods. I found flies buzzing in the " hot food area" which is an automatic turn off. The cold salads were not a delight either ; way over smoke flavored and smelled fishy. My family said the meat and chicken blini were ok. It appeared everything was in "left overs" state and not freshly prepared. It's also very overpriced for the quality and I'll stick to plenty of other better Eastern European delis in west valley .

Gem. I would give this place 10000000 stars if I could. Very sweet man working, helpful, lovely human. It is a pleasure to shop here. Everything is so fresh and delicious. I almost don't want to share this spot with anyone because of how wonderful it is and has been since the pandemic began. Grateful I found it in March last year. Seriously, a gem! Support small businesses because the state of California will only destroy them!

I'm happy to be able to echo the other great reviews about this place. It is filled with delicious food products, both imported and made in house. There is so much to try! From the deli case: I will keep coming back for the housemade eggplant caviar and fresh baked dark bread. So full of flavor! I also must admit to a fondness for the assorted candy selection. It's a small space but somehow there is also room for fresh vegetables and exotic canned goods, condiments and other groceries. The staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable.

I'm so glad I let this cute man persuade me to try his Salmon caviar. I've never been much of a fan of raw salmon, until today! Delicate, semi salty and sweet. So freaking good! The Beluga was the best I've ever had too! Up the ante of your next brunch/dinner party!

Was in the mood for new tasty adventure and came across this place on the way home. The options are simply amazing! Ana helped me pick out some very tasty dishes to try. The stuffed cabbage..so very satisfying. Don't know the name of it but the crepe with savory ground chicken inside...OMG good. Will definitely be making this a regular spot for on the way home from work.

So pleased to have another Russian market in my neighborhood. Upon entering I received a warm welcome from the owner asking if it was my first visit then she explained all her various home made dishes. What stood out to me was their own oven for baking fresh breads and their lox they cure in house also known as smoked salmon. I left with their delicious beef and chicken stuffed cabbages with a side order of mushroom plov. I was able to taste their walnuts wrapped in eggplant which was divine and their delicious homemade grape leaves too. Can't wait to return!

Everything here is really delicious fresh it's Russian Armenian homemade food but it's really good whatever kind of special diet you're on to have a lot of vegan things the chicken schnitzel is delicious and they make homemade pickles I like the stuffed cabbage the baba ghanouj and the Humoud is so garlicky and delicious it's hard to pick so many choices the prices at amazing , the prepared foods is better then Whole Foods or gelsons

What an amazing, delicious and friendly place ! We are so happy to have You in our neighborhood. Yesterday we bought all kinds of different delicious salads, sweets and today we came back for more ! Everything is home made and taste like HOME

Love the chicken and beef blinks , the mini pizzas and red Russian dip of which name I forget . Very friendly too!

What a Gem....They have the Best Liver and Onions I have ever had....in fact I'm trying other dishes that they make and everything is Great and fresh....this place sells great food at a very low price ...you really have to check them out

Recently visited this store, and I was pleasantly surprised. Amazing fresh made food and mini grocery. They also sell caviar which is right at the other end of the counter. They were incredibly friendly and even gave us a discount on the caviar we purchased! Out of all the Eastern European stores I've been to this is the first market to do so. Store own is incredibly knowledgeable on the caviar and let us sample them. I will definitely be back. They also told us they do catering and if you call at least a day before and they'll fulfill the order. I will definitely be back and will for sure order from them in the near future.

Amazing store great produce still warm fresh baked bread no lines like at the major stores. Milk available fresh deli lots of canned goods. Overall even with out the spread of virus and fear this place is a solid affordable option! And the owners and workers are sooooo nice!!!!

So happy I discovered this place last month. All of the food is absolutely delicious and the service is friendly and quick. Their sea bass crab cake is my favorite. Can't find it anywhere else. Nice to have authentic Russian and Armenian cooking in the neighborhood. Also a great place to grab groceries. Will definitely be recommending and coming back.

Love this little kosher deli. They have abundant choices and the staff woman was lovely. Authentic Baklava. Yum.

The staff members here are extremely kind and helpful, and the selections are amazing. I came specifically for Caviar, and left with two different kinds, as well as a host of other "ready to eat" selections. I will definitely be back!

Great addition to the neighborhood. Everything's cooked in house, delicious main dishes,salads, appetizers and dips along with a somewhat limited selection of fresh produce. The staff are super nice and a quick to offer a taste of something new and make suggestions. This isn't a "made up" place - they are the real deal!

Great local deli store. I'm a big caviar fan and they have the best quality caviar I've had in all of LA!! Also tried their large selection of ready foods a few times, always tastes fresh and not like like leftovers like other places. I would def recommend the halibut, salmon, beets salad, eggplant salad, and the mushroom potato.

This newly opened deli is a great find! All kinds of different and delicious foods to tempt you. Also a minimart of fresh fruits and vegetables at bargain prices. Check it out!

Some friends brought a Russian beet salad to a pot luck cast party of the Fools play by Neil Simon which tales place in a Ukrainian village circa late 1800. It was performed by Grace Baptist Santa Clarita theatre group this October 2022. It was hilarious and very, very well done. I'm not a strong beet fan but this salad popped in my mouth. So I took my wife for a sample which she loved also. We were both captured by all of the products sold therein. We were also captured by the two staff who were helpful in answering questions. I learned that one of the staff was from Uzbekistan which is close to Arminia which explains why some of their deli items are Arminian. The other staff woman I learned is from the Ukraine and came to California June 2022. Her English was good but limited at times so she went to the Internet to find the English word to help answer my question. Both were delightful women who were so customer oriented. We ended up buying the beet salad and a Russian rye bread loaded with sunflower seeds. It was savory and the beet salad topped it off nicely. The bread is also good with butter. Also bought Elderflower tea which is an herbal decaf tea used in Europe. We live 25 miles away and would gladly return to this captivating store for special items.

I was driving by and saw the sign and figured I would see what is was. It was FANTASTIC. Beautiful counter of great looking food. I was not really looking to buy much at the time but I picked up some Beef Pilaf and Borscht and some turnovers. EVERYTHING was delicious. This place is a realy find. And I haven't even tried the caviar yet. Reasonable prices and truly good food! This will make my life much easier!

Wow! They made big orders of chicken blinis and the most amazing borscht we've ever had for our party last weekend. We got compliments from everyone and were so happy (and full) from the order! The caviar is so delicious and such a treat to find so much variety right around the corner. The customer service is also wonderful at this family business. Run, don't walk!

Went in last Saturday night after a movie. Picked up chicken Kiev, crab/cod cake and kabob entrées plus 2 sides. Everything was great. Can't wait to get back to try some other goodies. The owner is delightful! Wonderful addition to the neighborhood.
