The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Food portions were generous and reasonably priced. I had the chance to try the crumbed scallops which I liked and I really loved their version of "pizza" with a very thin and super crispy base, very light and enjoyable, while the toppings were very abundant and tasty. I had the seafood pizza. I also tried the salad that came with the fish and chips, which they let you pick the ingredients and you can make your own, and let me say that those chickpeas in that dressing were to die for. Loved it. Mulled wine was a solid 8 out of 10. If I'd ever be back in the area, I know where to go for a good feed.

Went for dinner and was very impressed. Pizza is delicious, sooo generous with toppings (maybe too many toppings haha). Whiting fish special was amazing, such good flavours.

Cavity in Venus Bay is a bit of a rare find in a place where quality dining options are few and far between. The team here is clearly passionate and putting in a real effort to bring something better to the local scene, and that should be applauded. The menu is thoughtfully put together, with a good mix of options, including for vegetarians. When you arrive, just ask for a table and let them know how many people are in your group if you haven’t made a booking. It’s a straightforward system: order your food at one counter and your drinks at another. The setup works really well, and you can see they’ve put a lot of thought into making things flow smoothly. The food came out fast, tasted fresh, and the staff made us feel welcome. They’ve also got a nice selection of local wines, which was a pleasant surprise. It’s a family-run business that’s lifting the bar in an area that could use a bit more of what they’re offering. If you’re in Venus Bay and not sure where to eat, Cavity is definitely a safe bet.

FOR TOURISTS If you want to have dinner, arrive at 8 pm even when it says they work till 11 We arrived at 9 pm on Sunday and the kitchen was closed, they were already packing everything. But they were very sweet and offered us a pizza takeaway, it was super delicious

Had a fantastic mushroom and spinach pizza with sourdough crust that was to die for!

Fantastic food, excellent staff , large meals at reasonable prices . I had the local gummy shark , Adrienne had the mushroom pizza ( sourdough base) and friends had the duck ragout . All really great meals. A must try if you’re in the area.

Those meatballs my gosh… so so so good should be a main in itself. The salad bar was so convenient I now want more restaurants to have one. The steak was just as we ordered and the chips nice and crisp. Grew up coming here and over the last 15 years/as long as I can remember as a kid. I can always say I have loved coming to the cavity, great atmosphere and lovely owners. Ps. Forgot to add that although we came in the middle of Easter at 6:30pm they gave us our meals nice and fast and no quality was compromised doing so

We were staying at the caravan park and decided to go for a walk. We ended up back at Cavity, which serves cold beer and wine. So after a coldie, decided to try their food. Not a lot to choose from, but something for everyone on the menu. Well prepared, fresh tasty food, could not fault. (Not cheap, but generous serves of great food!). We will definitely be back later.... 👍👍👍👍👍
