We visited Cavo Bar Kitchen on Granville Street and had a great experience. We ordered margaritas in different flavors, and they were all delicious! We also tried a beer, pasta, and burgers, and everything was well prepared and full of flavor. The atmosphere is lively but still comfortable, making it a great place for pre-drinks with friends or to enjoy a nice dinner. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

The place was very nice and the ambiance was well done as well. The pizza was surprisingly good and so were the yam fries. Would love to visit again.

Had an amazing experience at Cavo on Granville! The vibe was great! stylish, lively, and welcoming. We ordered the tacos, tzatziki dip, and lamb, and everything was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The drinks were also on point. Service was outstanding. Our server Melissa was attentive and friendly, even fixing our wobbly table before we had a chance to mention it. That kind of attention to detail really stood out. If you're in downtown Vancouver, I highly recommend checking this place out. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. What more can you ask for?

The food was absolutely delicious. Maria gave amazing service and made the whole experience even more enjoyable!

We brought our school to Cavo on Friday for Happy Hour. We had a great party. Andrea & Maria are great servers and worked hard to help us have a great experience. Cavo's international work-force is amazing. I highly recommend this business to anyone that loves top service, cleanliness, happy employees and an overall great experience. SGIC Vancouver is extremely happy doing business here.

Had a nice dinner here - good looking space, attentive service, great Happy Hour. Thai Chicken pasta was pretty good, but the pizza crust didn't stand up to the toppings or have enough flavour.

Google
Cavo’s pseudo-Greek facade feels more Granville drama than Hellenic charm, but it does bring some character to the strip. Expect decent food and service, and wall-to-wall sports games that make it feel like a taverna-meets-sports-bar hybrid.

Google
Amazing place with great, up-to-date music. The service was outstanding from start to finish. We were a large group, and everything was handled perfectly — the bill came without errors and our waiter was very attentive the whole time. Drinks arrived quickly, and bartenders and staff were friendly. I went to celebrate my birthday and couldn’t be happier with my choice. Truly an incredible experience!

Yelp
Went here for dinner with a couple of friends on a monday night, the place wasn't busy and had a great quaint vibe. Our servers were friendly and the food and drinks were good too. I tried the chicken gyro in pita with tzatziki which was flavourful and a good portion size.

Yelp
Cavo has really found a way to achieve a lounge atmosphere without the environment feeling pretentious. The service was incredibly friendly. I don't think I have been engaged in such genuine and entertaining conversation before at a restaurant. Highly recommend their souvlaki skewers (either the chicken or beef). I could also have enjoyed an entire bowl of tzatziki as it was so fresh and tasty.

Yelp
This restaurant is in an active and at times, shady area. We honestly didn't know much about that before we decided to come here. We found the restaurant online and off we went! We sat in the parklet outside. I think there were 3 tables there. They took our orders, drinks came out right away. The calamari came out soon there after - it was very lightly battered and perfectly fried. Definitely order this! We cleaned it up! The Goodfellas pizza $26 was fine. Not great but not bad either. I think we're just used to the pizza that we have back home in the SF Bay Area. The spaghetti carbonara $23 was really great with a creamy sauce and bacon sprinkled throughout. Order this too! The seafood fettuccine $29 was okay. It's the most expensive dish of the meal and it was just okay. It did have lots of mussels and 3-4 prawns. The bistro chicken $28 was good but a bit dry. It had lots of potatoes, zucchini, mushrooms, red & green bell peppers. I ordered this because the table next to us ordered them too and it looked really good. The service was great. The excitement of the evening was a kerfuffle between in the streets, complete with many police responding.

Yelp
I feel like this review is best served with a graph-mathematical-like representation. Ok...here's the list. Likes: Pizza Fries Service (Melissa was great) Dislikes: Tequila Shot (tasted watered-down) Pita bread (not fresh) Hot Wings (anorexic & overcooked - dry) Bathrooms (dirty) With those two categories in mind, if you wanna go someplace to drink anything other that tequila and mingle, and don't mind not hearing the other person while they talk, don't care much about your personal space...you might like it. If not, then you might wanna skip this place. That pretty much sums it up for CAVO.

Yelp
Planned to meet a girl friend for Happy Hour in Downtown so was on the hunt for a new joint that had a good Happy Hour menu and deals for both food and drinks. Stumbled across Cavo and we liked that Happy Hour was until 6pm so made a reservation. It's a long restaurant that can easily be missed as the name of the restaurant is pretty high up on the entranceway of the busy Granville strip. Got there and got seated within a few minutes. It has cute decor with a few neon signs posted. The high top tables were pretty small so was glad we got a regular table. We ordered a bunch of Happy Hour deals to share - honey garlic chicken wings, truffle fries, French style mussels, and trio of dips with pita. All the portion sizes of the food were great, especially the mussels. For $15, the plate was full of mussels and there weren't any empty mussel shells. Though the mussels were small in size, it was a great deal for $15! The trio of dips was also delicious with taziki, roasted red pepper hummus, and spicy feta. We especially enjoyed the spicy feta and the hummus - yum! Good food, good portions, and decent price points. The music does get really loud at random times but otherwise a great place for drinks and food.

Yelp
Last Friday we returned to Cavo, one of our favourite restaurants. This time we went as a group of 30 people for a corporate function. We reserved their new Mediterranean back patio. It has traditional Greek stone floor, marble table tops, and comfortable cushions. Alexander, one of the managers was a great help by organizing the whole thing. We pre-ordered a selection of appetizers to share, which started promptly upon arrival and kept coming and coming. We had several of: the trio of dips which included hummus, tzatziki, and spicy feta, which came with warm grilled pita. Also flaming Saganakis, crispy calamari, grilled house made meatballs, garlic prawns, spanakopita rolls, smoked salmon bruschettas, tacos, and bowls of Greek salad. Then we had a selection of souvlaki skewers, the slow roasted lamb, stuffed chicken breasts, and a selection of pizzas. We had a wonderful time, everything was fresh and delicious. At the end of the evening we made arrangements to return for our company Christmas party!

Yelp
Nice place to grab a bite before a concert. Service was excellent. Nice atmosphere . Food was good... especially enjoyed the Smoked Salmon Bruschetta!

Yelp
Not sure how I missed this place having worked in the area for the past 5 years but it was my first visit with some coworkers and we were all very much wowed by the service and the food. Reasonable prices and great service made for a great experience. I don't normally write reviews but I ordered the salmon salad to go and am eating it the next day and it is one of the best salads I've had in a while. The shrimp appetizer and the salmon bruschetta was truly next level. Our server was attentive and quick to respond. Wonderful experience overall and we look forward to going back with an even bigger group.

Yelp
The bartender was showing more boob than a strip club, disturbing. The prawns and French muscles are amazing, though.

Yelp
We have been visiting Cavo Bar and Kitchen for many months now and I wanted to leave some really positive reviews for them. Their food menu is really impressive; the pizzas are very generous in size, great fresh toppings, and my favourite has to be the one called "DONT TELL DONNA" - its a greek inspired pizza. Their greek-focused menu is a really nice change from other bars that offer terrible grease-fried food options. They also have a super cute back patio that's great for large events, parties, and gatherings. The staff are well trained, and very efficient when it comes to executing birthday parties. We recently had a dinner of 20, and the service team ensured that everything was taken care of. We definitely recommend this for: - first dates - just drinks - late dinners - snacks and appies - pre drinks before going out to the bar district - intimate gatherings but be ready for the kick ass DJ that turns out great tunes in the evenings On Thursdays evenings, when we normally venture out, they also have a CRAZY FUN DJ crushing fun tunes. I highly recommend coming here, as a spot to meet up and catch up over a fun snack and some cocktails before getting ready to party all night with friends.

Yelp
Come here before heading out to a concert at the two major venues nearby! I had many a sangria and shared the tacos, which were perfectly spicy and tasty. I find the restaurant more upscale than anything else on Granville. Great little stop. Also noticed that you can hire out the back patio for events. My only complaint is waiting for the 3 available bathrooms. For some reason they were always occupied.

Yelp
This is a great spot for Vancouver locals, or Vancouver tourists. If you are looking for a vibe...This is it. For this type of bar you'd expect small portions and faster food. It's not. If you are a Vancouver long time local than you remember the days when you'd line up at Stephos for food that you know you will be enjoying packaged in that paper bag at the end of the night. This is like that, but at 30%. The portions are large. Now let's get into details. Why the 3 stars? To give an honest review I' say 3.5, but yelp doesn't offer half star review options. My partner received their food 9 minutes before me. I told him to eat his food. (Why should we both suffer with hunger?). He ordered the fish and chips. I'm assuming they rushed his food out because it was probably sitting under a heat lamp for a while. (The fries were cold). But the white fish was incredible! Flakey delicious goodness. If the fish and chips were served completely warm I'd rate this dish an 8.5. I got my meal which was the chicken. The sides were DE-LI-CIOUS! The eggplant, orange bell peppers, and mushroom combination in a feta creamy goodness. HEAVEN. Just too many potatoes. I don't like to complain about extra food...So take-sies-back-sies. I ate about 2 potatoes which was the equivalent of one small baby white potato. My take out meal consisted of a bunch of potatoes...8 small potatoes to be exact. I have no shame in that take out game. So I'll be cooking these up to add to my lunch tomorrow afternoon. Vibe wise...this is the spot. If you like to people watch this is the spot. Visiting Vancouver? This is the spot. A Vancouver local wanting to potentially bump into friends? This is the spot. If I could give my yelp opinion? Just serve food to a couple at the same time. I'm lucky... I've been with my partner for 4 years. If we were on a first date? It would have been awkward. Him having to decide whether or not to eat or not. My partner held off as long as he could. I knew how hungry he was and told him to eat. Also... The overcooked chicken and cold fries. No bueno. I'll be going back. I like the vibes! The chicken sauce and sides? I'll eat it without the chicken because it's that good! I recommend. Would give higher stars if the food was served at the same time and not cold. Maybe it was an off night because it was a Fri-yay.

Yelp
I like the ambiance. It's a warm Sunday, and they opened those big doors to let the breeze in. They have a cozy patio. I had lunch with a friend. And the staff accommodated us right away. It wasn't busy, too, thank God. I ordered tacos with crispy chicken. The chicken were a tad bit overly done. We ordered calamari, I love it. They put just enough coating to make it crispy. I chose margarita passion fruit (I wish they would go easy on the salt around the glass rim... but I don't really mind that much. Lunch was good. We were served promptly... and did I say they have very nice staff? I will encourage you guys to check the place out.

Yelp
My partner and I traveled to Vancouver this past weekend and we ended up on Granville Street on Saturday night looking for cocktail bars. Let me preface this review with the fact that we are in our late 20's and have already gotten our party hardy days out of our systems... We walked into Cavo thinking the vibes would be on the chiller side. It wasn't as crazy as most bars/clubs on Granville but it was definitely a little much considering that the clientele was in the 30+ demographic. Music from a DJ was blasting even though there wasn't a dance floor and most people were in small groups trying to have conversations. Folks were kind of rowdy, often bumping into me while I was seated. Even sitting at the bar top, it was hard to hear my partner talk. It was even harder to get the bartender to serve us. When we sat down, the bartender did not acknowledge us. No greeting, no menus, no water - just a stoic stare down even though we came in hours before closing. It took about 5-7 minutes of her standing around the bar and talking to her coworkers before she silently poured us 2 glasses of water and asked us what we wanted. She was super short and seemingly annoyed when we gave her our drink orders. We only stayed for one round because 1) it was awkward sitting at the bar top and 2) our glasses were empty for 10 minutes before we had to wave her down for our bill. Unfortunate because the drinks were good. I'm hoping this bartender was just having a bad day. But if I find myself on Granville again, I will not be stopping here. There are many other options where staff actually want to do their jobs.

Yelp
I'm surprised me managed to get a table as it was friday night and we were a party of 9, but they managed! I ordered a whiskey ginger and the roast potatoes, and folks.... I have been dreaming about those potatoes ever since, They were INCREDIBLE. The 3 star rating is because our party saw couples going in and out of the same bathroom (for the very reason you're thinking), as well as people doing drugs in the bathroom. Not a good look.

Yelp
Came for happy hour with a girlfriend and ordered the Thai muscles and the dip platter- both we delicious! The Thai broth for the muscles was particularly flavourful. The happy hour menu from 2-6 has a super selection of drinks and food all for a reasonable price. I would def go back to try more!

Yelp
On our last morning in Vancouver my son and I came in for breakfast and it was just what we needed! I ordered eggs Benedict with ham and Fruits which was so good. The ham was a nice piece that filled you up for the morning. My 7yo ordered bacon and eggs with of course fries lol. Everything was super fresh and the staff was really nice. The location is pretty cool I would say it's in the downtown area right off of Granville and Smithe (I think that's what it was) anyways it was busy in the mornings!

Yelp
Very cool Vybe my server was great had a lot to say about the menu. I would have have them 4.5 but can't do a half start and that's only because they didn't add my potatoes with my lamb and the skin was over cooked but fell off the bone and very flavorful. Now It's a bit pricey if you aren't eating off the happy hour menu but it's quiet enjoyable

Yelp
All the Irish pubs and restaurants were full on St. Patricks Day. Lucky for us we found Cavo Bar & Kitchen. We were seated immediately. The decor was cozy and quaint, with a variety of favorite songs we recognized. We had a 9 oz of Chardonnay. This is the best white wine I ever tried, super smooth. We shared the French Mussels, mussels delightfully soaked in butter, white wine, herbs, shallots and fresh garlic. There is also Italian and Thai mussels. The mussels are accompanied with a fresh, toasted piece of bread to dip in the sauce. These are also the best mussels I ever tried. We shared a plate of delicious, delicate fries. I had another glass of Chardonnay, my friend had the house red. We toasted St Patricks Day with a Bailey's shooter. Cavo Bar & Kitchen is clean, cozy with good energy. Our server Alexander was awesome!!!!! He was knowledgeable about everything in a friendly and respectful way. Thank you Cavo Bar & Kitchen for the amazing experience!!!!!

Yelp
This may sound funny, but I actually thought this restaurant was called Evo from its sign. Well, I pass by here to work every weekday and I never really paid attention to the sign. So we came here on a Yelp gathering event. I have to say they have pretty good yam fries. The pizza was very unique in flavor and interesting Yam fries and truffles fries were amazingly good. I had a slice of the BBQ chicken pizza. I like the amazing rich flavor. I find the service was good. Well we were sitting at the corner and at times, we were forgotten. But the server did pay attention. We were having shots and because I don't drink, the server got me pineapple juice in a shot glass. She was very thoughtful. Great place to get good food. Great for parties

Yelp
This was the most appetizing looking place while walking around downtown, and we were not disappointed. We arrived right on happy hour. We ordered 2 orders of wings (of which they had more flavors than I could list), their truffle fries (which seemed to have some cheese on top), and their smokes salmon salad (probably the most unique take on a salad yet). great stop for a quick and cheap bite. Next time I come I will have to try their lamb poutine.

Yelp
Great food and even better environment. Steak sandwich was unbelievable. Carbonara was also amazing, highly recommend!

Yelp
Went here for drinks and I was really impressed by the drinks and the service! Very chill ambience - I wouldn't say it's romantic just because it's a bit loud so you kinda have to yell to be heard. I got a special sour Jameson shot ($4), a red sangria, and a rye and ginger ale all for only 20$, after tax - by far so much cheaper than what I'm used to in Toronto The drinks were super delicious! Not too strong and not watered down either. My date also enjoyed his drinks and I convinced him to get a cocktail called trophy wife and that was done well also.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a light dinner here. Food was good, our party was super pleased with what they ordered. Service was great, friendly staff and quick. The ambiance was nice for friends gathering or a romantic date. Definitely would go back.

Yelp
Stopped by here for a quick bite. We sat on the patio and shared some appies. The service was great. The waitress was knowledgeable about the menu which is always nice when you ask for a recommendation or description of a dish. We tried the garlic prawns and spicy feta dip with pita bread. We all enjoyed, one friend thought the dip was salty but I think that's to be expected with a feta based dip. Would definitely be back to try more food next time we are in the area.

Yelp
I went in the Bar and was immediately wow'd by the unexpected space of the restaurant. Don't be fooled by the cramped Granville Street! The restaurants there are all very spacious! There's a very classy outside patio facing Granville and when you go in you're greeted by the bar and kitchen right away, and the endless amount of tables and mirrors that seem go on and on in a row. It gave off a very bustling and hip atmosphere while the tall brick walls and ceiling topped off by a high chandelier brought a rustic vibe to the decor. I had dinner with over 10 people and was pleasantly surprised at our seating area. They were able to seat us all at the very back with half of us comfortably seated on the couches. The spot was great because despite the amount of people who were in the restaurant, we were able to hear each other well and have a very intimate dinning experience. The drinks and food was all very great. I tried Truffle Fries for the first time and it was quite an experience. The fries themselves were very great but I personally found it to be too garlicky. So if you're a big fan of garlic then definitely order it and if not then perhaps think twice. However, I was really impressed by the pizza! It was homemade and came in a huge serving! Definitely a two-three person jobs trying to finish it! But sooo good! The last thing I have have have to mention is their service! We had the super pretty blonde waitress, she alone was looking after all 10+ of us and did a phenomenal job! Did a great job recommending drinks and food for the first timers and checked up on us regularly to make sure we had everything. When it came to the bill and how we wanted to split it she was also super accommodating. Food 4/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere 4.5/5 I highly recommend dinning here and would definitely come soon! It was a great night and a great experience!

Yelp
We were downtown this weekend and wanted to grab a quick bite. Decided to try their all day Happy Hour or Fiesta Hour. We were extremely disappointed in the quality and quantity of food. It wasn't even really considered a real happy hour. All the dishes were $15 and it was such a rip off. The calamari and mussels are tiny... between the four of us, it was 2 bites each.... we also ordered a Caesar salad for $10 and it was so tiny I was really shocked. It was such a small bowl of salad that I consumed in four bites. I would steer clear of this place. We learned our lesson and will never ever be back. This place is clearly trying to sell you the least amount of food for the highest price they can scam out of you. Don't be tricked by Happy Hour!!! You've been warned...

Yelp
Came with my girlfriends to celebrate my birthday, have a late meal and some cake The ambiance is pretty, good music, people dancing by their tables having a good time Food menu is pretty good, lots of variety and pricing is reasonable. The chocolate cake I got to blow the candle to was delicious! Only reason I am giving this place 4star is because the service could be improved. But considering we came on a Friday night at midnight - was kind of busy...

Yelp
Your classic yet hard to find chicken and waffles brunch is available at Cavo from 9 AM until 2:30 PM every single day We snatched a seat on the patio on a sunny morning while we people watched everyone walking up and down Grandville Street the chicken is boneless and had some unique seasoning on it I highly recommend this dish. Until now, I had only ever noticed this place at night. Met some great tourists from Germany at the table next to us.

Yelp
Food: 4.5/5 Truffle Fries - Generous amount of cheese sprinkled on top with a nice undertone of truffle oil. Granville District Pizza - Nice chunks of chicken breast with a sweet Thai sauce all contained in a nice layer of cheese. Rustic Italian Pizza - Delightfully salty from the deli meat. Salmon Bruschetta - Sprinkle that baby with some lemon and you have a playful bite. Drinks: 10/10!!!! Bartenders know their shit. Done. Service: 10/10!!!! Not just a pretty face... You can throw at them stuff like 'Could you split the bill between these 2 & put this person's tap on mine & have hers on his and these 3 guys separated but with the first round of drinks on me ETCETCETC'... Her response would be 'Roger that'.

Yelp
Been here for happy-hour a couple of times now, and it has been excellent each time. The happy hour food is tasty, and is good value for money. I haven't found any outstanding restaurants on Granville st. Maybe it is because of the sheer number of vastly diverse people that walk the entertainment district. Restaurants must cater to the random walk-in, rather than build a fan-following with a niche market. That said, Cavo is a perfect place to stop for a drink and some food on Granville St. They have a patio, good drinks, good food, and good service.

Jane S.

Yelp
From out of town; came with myself and (2) teenage daughters during Happy Hour. I had garlic prawns + Caesar salad from the happy hour menu - both were delicious and decent portion. Shared some honey garlic HH wings w/kids and we all enjoyed. Oldest has the braised lamb and she was *very* impressed - well spiced, well cooked, really tasty. Youngest has a crispy chicken sandwich and enjoyed it as well. I was not wild about the red wine sangria but the kids had virgin mojitos and loved them!!! Service was mixed - we struggled to get someone's attention to be seated, but the gal who took our orders was helpful with suggestions, then the guy clearing our table as a little pushy. Lots of regulars when we were in, which I like to see. All in all, I would return, esp for the garlic prawns!

Yelp
A lucky Yelp find as we did a short vacation in Vancouver. We were hungry and it was just around 6, so we got there before the dinner crowd. Servers were prompt to seat our hungry party of 4. The menu was a delectable hodge lodge of pasta, pizza, tapas, Mediterranean, grill, seafood and sandwiches. We found something for each member of our family. We ordered honey garlic chicken wings, pasta carbonara, grilled salmon and meatballs pizza plus Cavos light lager on tap. Everything was perfectly delicious! Portions were generous and priced just right. Our picky kids were happy and satisfied and my hubby and I were thankful. Super good, Cabo! Thank you! We will be back! Forgot to add ambiance! It was perfect for an intimate one-one one date; a group outing, a family dinner like ours. Dim but not too dark, music/tv playing but nothing too loud to prevent conversation. Just right!

Yelp
Cavo is a laidback lounge with Mediterranean Flare. You will find reasonable prices and a pretty sweet happy hour. I have been here twice now and have a good idea of this venue. Their happy hour is a steal with $5 glasses of Red Rooster wine, Merlot and Pinot Gris (I think...I drank red). It's a good size glass too, probably 6 ounces, which is better than most other bars at only 5! Also $4 lagers, highballs and $4 shots of JD. you can also enjoy 50% of select appetizers, such as calamari and wings. Cavo has a great location, central in the action of bustling Granville street. A good choice for predrinks if you are planning on see a show in or hittin' up the clubs later. Tuesday and Sundays are live music nights! I came previously on a Sunday and the live music was very entertaining. A very talented guitar player who even showed my table a couple tricks on his guitar, played cover songs from the 80's, 90's and some current tracks from artists like Bruno Mars. I really enjoy the space with the brick walls and the chandeliers. There is a lot of natural light and also a small patio space if you are lucky to get a seat. The bartenders, mostly Jason, are fantastic and will whip you up a tasty shot to your liking. There are always drink specials on!! For the food, I have tried their Greek salad, pizza, calamari and a few other appetizers. Their Calamari is a 3/5. Lightly battered rings and baby squid but needs a little more flavor. Their tzatziki is very good. I really enjoyed the pizza as well, but it needed a little more meat. I had a small Greek salad for $7 and added a grilled chicken breast for another $7. Fresh, filling and excellent chicken. Give this place a go for good value and great dinks.

Yelp
Great food, friendly staff, great music, will definitely come back. We came for happy hour and loves it!

Yelp
Great place, quality and authentic food, fantastic prices, and the bar crushes the drinks out. This is one of the hidden gems in Vancouver, with Mediterranean food on par with the best of them. Run by guys who own several restaurants and large night clubs, so they know how to execute .... decor could use some (a lot) work, but always a fun spot. Fantastic food, must try pizzas. I have to say the gents and gals at the bar are some of the best, and they keep the regulars coming (heads up to all the other bars in the area, regulars matter). On Friday and Saturday nights Jason and Martin crush it at the bar with speed and greetings, which is a reason we all come back often. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Came here for a beer. Parking is pretty crappy here - try for the side streets. The interior is dim, but not too dim. Thank goodness they didn't decide to paint their walls black. It was pretty loud the night I went, because they had a live performer. This 1 guy would do all the synth and drums with his feet (one of those looping machines), while singing and playing guitar. Serious skills. If you're part of a group, I would recommend no more than 4 - there's only really 1 row of tables besides the bar. Each day of the week they have some sort of special, such as $7 cocktails on Saturdays, but I found most deals weren't really that special. The pitcher of beer I had were $17 each. Not the cheapest either. As I didn't try the food, I cannot comment.

Yelp
Cavo was one the the bars we went to while bar hopping through downtown Canada. I ordered a Moscow mule and my husband and his cousin ordered Beers. The Moscow mule didn't taste like one but still tasty enough to drink. I'm not sure what most locals drink but I knew better than to order my favorite Cadillac margarita.. it's definitely not the right part of the world for that lol. Anyway the bar was quaint and the decor was pretty cute. They played old movies on the tv. Small crowd, fitting for a Monday night I guess.

Yelp
True story on experience not food: Came here for brunch yesterday visiting Vancouver. The wait at Templeton down the street was too long so my friend and I thought we give this place a shot as it looked nice (from the outside). We got in and was greeted by the waitress behind the bar afar that we can sit anywhere. Found a spot and at there with no menu for 10 minutes with no further acknowledgment. No water, not even a menu. We made eye contact with the two waitresses several times and no, nothing. So we left. End of story. The table and inside looked filthy anyways... Suggestion: busy is ok but at least keep your customers aware. You could of boight some time with us giving us menus.

Yelp
My bf and I were just hanging out and checking out the town. We got tired and came across this restaurant. It had a nice cozy outside seating area and we deciding to go in. It happened to be during happy hour. Their happy hour menu specials were appetizing. The drinks are priced well and had a wonderful wine selection. The bar area seems to be a nice area to hang out. Great place to people watch as the location is right at the heart of Granville St. The food came out quick. We liked their Chicken wings. It was more grilled than fried and was not greasy. I think it was Greek style wings. Some yelpers were complaining about service but our waitress was super nice and attentive. They are open late so a good for late night food and drinks. I believe they have Live music Sundays, and DJ on Friday's.

Yelp
Ordered from here and they never made my order or contacted me regarding this. Meant I got charged for my order I never got from them - $65. Poor communication and obvious lack of care for their customers

Yelp
Last night a group of us were strolling on Granville Street pretty late and wanted a place to grab drinks. This place seemed decent, so we approached the entrance. There were two hostesses at the door. I asked for a table for 6, and waited. One blonde waitress completely ignored us and continued staring at some action on the street with cops and whatnot. She did not even turn her face to look at us. The second hostess acknowledged us, tried to ask blonde hostess about a table, and got ignored as well. So she ran inside to check for a table, and came back to take us in. We sat down near the back and it was an okay atmosphere. I could not figure out if it was a bar or restaurant or what vibe it was. Kind of a random vibe. The table we sat at was dirty, no one wiped it down for us. But I didn't care too much, I just wanted to chill with my friends. The blonde hostess came to take our drinks order. I ordered an Earl Grey Gin martini, and others in the group ordered beer, old fashioned, etc etc. Later when the drinks came, this blonde waitress/hostess went to one corner of the table and sat all the drinks down in one corner. Not in front of each of us. I figured she was too lazy to do her job, so I started passing the respective drinks to my friends. I asked her "which one is that?" pointing to a tall beer glass. She just shrugged at me, rolled her eyes and literally said: "I don't know which is which". Then she strutted off. Wow. Maybe she needs to look for another job, because last time I checked, a waitress doesn't just bring food/drink orders to a table and casually say "I don't know which is which". I looked at my friend who was also surprised by this waitress's nonchalance. Anyway, too bad for Cavo, because this lady left a shitty impression in my mind. My earl grey gin martini was really tasty though! I very much enjoyed it. Thats what the 2 stars are for.

Yelp
Business trip to Vancouver... had a mini night out with friends. Walk by Cavo and it looks trendy from the outside so went in for a drink. No cover which is good as Roxy charges $7 for cover. Professional staffs and skillful bartender! First time I see that add egg white in whiskey sour. Legit place for drink. Thursday night good ol skool hip hop/ R&B music. This one is probably the more upscale looking and decent place on Granville.

Yelp
Always a happening place; our go-to place to go whenever partying up, dinner here before the clubbing action starts ;) Bonus is not just good food but of all the places down Granville, this and Roxy are the most unpretentious. Great fun to catch a sports game. High ceilings too, nice decor, went through a reno last year or so. Authentically Greek, so recommend the baked lasagna, no cheaping out on the cheese here. They deliver. Clean washrooms.

Yelp
While on vacation I and my wife came here for drinks and food. We were very satisfied! Great welcoming atmosphere, very good pizza! We travel the world pretty often and really enjoy when we stumble across a friendly staff that seem to like their job. You gain that here. The drinks were great and they even had live music. I would absolutely recommend this place if your looking for a laid back good time.

Yelp
I was drawn to the cozy atmosphere. Warm welcome, delicious food. Opted for French styled mussels, lovely and plump, flavorful complimented with hummus and piping hot pitas very satisfying. I stopped in on my lunchtime but could have easily lingered. Absolutely, will go back again.

Yelp
Solid food, casual and fun ambiance, and great service. We came for a late dinner and were seated very quickly and greeted by several staff. The casual and friendly vibe is definitely a plus and the brick walls and checkered napkins add to the charm. Our server was very helpful and attentive, and the food was definitely solid. Some highlights: 1. Lamb poutine: Great braised lamb and solid fries but the gravy was very salty and overpowered the cheese and meat. Okay but I would ask for less gravy. 2. Caesar salad: Solid but didn't stand out. 3. Mediterranean stuffed chicken: Amazingly tender chicken breast stuffed with spinach and cheese, served with roasted potatoes and veggies in a cream-based sauce. Definitely a very good entrée option. 4. Curry chicken linguine: Solid creamy curry sauce over chopped chicken breast and linguine. The sauce is flavorful and hearty. Pastas are $12 on Wednesdays, which is a solid deal. Worth a try if you are in the Theater District on Granville and looking for a bite.
